Release Weekend for "Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch)" (And Other Important Related News)
Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, November 18, 2023 - 12:13 PM
Was hoping to snag writing this post for our site as well last night, but work obligations outside of here literally drained my energy after coming back home following my being out of the house for eleven to twelve straight hours yesterday. But better late than never right?
To the chase: as you all are already aware, this is the anticipated "release weekend" for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch remake of Super Mario RPG which was originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment system (full title being Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars). And although the remake of this special RPG installment is on my target list to play for sure, I must announce that this is one of those installments which as you can recall I gave a respective "PASS" on because the remake on the music front gives reference to the Super Nintendo original version; plus, the majority of the musical score itself is literally unique (thanks to Yoko Shimomura who poured in a lot of hard work on the music end). Add to the fact that according to this video, there's an option to switch between the "modern" version of said Super Mario RPG score as well as the Super Nintendo original version, and that confirms why I'm still giving this installment a respectful "PASS" on my music arrangement planbook.
That said, I still have to state to all of you here (including myself) that it does not mean that this Nintendo Switch remake of a very special installment originally done for the Super Nintendo console should be ignored; not by a long shot. This installment was the starting point for all other Mario RPG installments that were to follow after this including the Paper Mario series, and even the Mario & Luigi series, so when you get the chance, make sure to see about checking this Super Mario RPG installment itself on the Nintendo Switch console to check out what made the Super Nintendo installment of this same game very special (with some new twists for this modern version as well, of course!).
That's all for now, and thanks for your understanding on this. If do you have any further questions about said announcement here, please don't hesitate to let me know about it. Take care for now, all.

Special Poll on Twitter (X): Favorite SNES Music Styled Cover of Songs from "Super Mario Bros. Wonder"
Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, November 18, 2023 - 11:19 AM
Hey there, happy Saturday to all of you here at these music operations as a whole. Was hoping to have written this blog entry posting (and related happenings related to it) last night, but work obligations outside of here literally strained my energy like heck for twelve hours straight. But I'm here to post a very special Saturday poll involving some of the Super Nintendo music styled covers that I have recently posted targeting songs from Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
More specifically, to those of us who are confirmed and legitimate followers at our "Twitter Portal" profile page (which, is also know as "X" for reasons that I don't even understand at all): there is a poll waiting for your votes involving four choices fron the first batch of Super Nintendo music styled covers yours truly has done targeting songs from Super Mario Bros. Wonder (which, if you haven't already, can be checked out at this announcement). Like previous polls that I have done over there, the latest one related to this posting can be found here; don't forget that it closes/expires one week from posting.
The available choices from this batch include the following:
* Dark Forest * Shining Falls * Underground Theme * Bowser's Rage Stage ("Wonder Course" Section)
It's currently being planned to do another poll focused on another part of the recently posted first batch of covers focused on songs from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but nothing is final as of yet. If it does occur, said following poll will be posted there after this current one expires in one week.
Also don't forget that you still need to be a confirmed follower of our Twitter profile page to see this poll in question itself. If you haven't done so already, go here and submit the follower request to be under review; upon clearance, you'll be able to see the poll itself and cast your vote before the expiry occurs.
Thanks in advance for your time and support on this, everyone; see you all next time around. I'm out.

Good morning, friends; this post is not in relation to our music operations here but still deserves mentioning since a featured Mario game installment that we've recently added on this site to house Super Nintendo music styled arrangement covers that yours truly has been doing focused on songs from it has been getting attention from the "industry experts", and for good reason. We've gotten word that nominations for "The Game Awards (2023)" got dropped during the course of yesterday; the highly acclaimed Super Mario Bros. Wonder installment for the Nintendo Switch console has been nominated in five categories in hopes to make it to the "winners circle" come awards presentation time.

"Super Mario Bros. Wonder" Game Page Now In Action
Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, November 9, 2023 - 05:31 PM
It was only a matter of time after this latest highly acclaimed Super Mario adventure installment for the Nintendo Switch consoles got onto the scene since late last month, awesome people. Now a few weeks later, our newest game page has now hit our music operations under the name of Super Mario Bros. Wonder!
And along with this latest game page addition to house the Super Nintendo music styled arrangement covers done by yours truly targeting songs from this game in question comes eight new files to start it off on a high note. But don't be surprised that as the month progress from tonight that more addictive songs from the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game will be targeted when I have room in my schedule to decide what to focus on next.
I might elaborate on this more on a future detailed posting in the future, but please be aware that in the first batch of covers that will be listed below (along with the respective file links) there might be some differences in certain songs (like Shining Falls, Bowser's Rage Stage ("Wonder Course" Section), and the "athletic version" of the overall Super Mario Bros. Wonder theme, especially). But regardless, you'll all find out why these songs themselves in question caught my attention like that when said installment finally got released last month to do my Super Nintendo music styled cover process on. And here they are now:
Additionally, the online suggestion forms have been updated as of tonight to reflect the new game page addition on this site for Super Mario Bros. Wonder. So if you have any other song candidates related to this installment which you hope will hit my planbook in the coming months as well as to let me know in general if you're looking forward to further song covers from said game, please don't hesitate to let me know about it... because I'm sure we're all in agreement that this latest installment for the Super Mario videogame series as a whole is a literal big deal on all angles, without a doubt.
That's all for now; if you have any further questions about these latest music arrangement file additions shared on this post (or if you have any problems in accessing said files in question here), let me know via this main online contact form as well so I can investigate the situation further. See you all later.
