Email Correpondence Handling During This Coming "Labor Day Weekend"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, September 2, 2022 - 10:36 PM

Hey there, good evening, friends; giving you all a heads-up regarding email correspondence stuff for during the course of this coming weekend and next week should I get any alerts about any music operations inquries get sent my way via review. As you all are well aware, this coming weekend itself (especially Monday) is going to be the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Here's the thing: I won't be available to see about answering any legitimate inquiries from you all during that time, obviously. However, I won't be able to answer any inquries during the following Tuesday either because I'm going to be occupied dealing with jury duty obligations at my town's courts (and that's very important since these are the courts we're talking about here).

Bottom line and to make a long story short: any inquiries received in my correspondence between now and this coming Tuesday will be reviewed during the course of the following Wednesday (9/7/'22). Also, please note that in regards to the "Main Website Inquiries" form, if any correspondence received has been marked "HIGH PRIORITY/URGENT" and is deemed credible upon review, those will obviously be handled first and foremost.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding on this angle, everyone; all of you stay healthy, safe, and have a fantastic Labor Day weekend itself on all fronts. See you all next week (after my court obligations via "jury duty" obligations, of course); I'm gone for now.

September 2022 Greetings: The "Final Four Months" Arrive Again / "Main Contact Form" Updated

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, September 1, 2022 - 05:13 PM

Good afternoon friends and welcome to September and the "final four months" of this 2022 year! As many of you faithful friends/followers/listeners of these beloved music operations know. yours truly always looks forward to this portion of the year because of some certain "major holidays" that are going to be arriving at this point of the calendar as well as the fall and winter seasons approaching as well. If all goes well, it should be a good one.

And it looks like it's starting out good already on the music operations side - as of the date and time of this posting, I am pleased to announce that our "Main Website Inquiries" contact form has finally gotten some sort of an update. You can head for this page to see what new additions have been made; as always, make sure to read all instructions on the form before filling it out for submitting to my correspondence for review. Additionally, the main "Contact Us" page was updated as well to provide a list of all available forms on this site for in the event of your attempting to contact me about any music operations related matters. Just remember to read the top of said page carefully in regards to reminders about email correspondence handling regarding our receiving new inquiries from you all (as well as our being able to respond to any legitimate ones that do need answering).

Last, but not least: I'm really hoping that during these "final four months" we can at last get in gear and get this backlog down for the most part. I just need a much clearer head so I can recheck my planbook to see what I can possibly make a major dent on next along with finding new candidates to do new Super Nintendo music style covers on (which are obviously not song stuff heard in Mario Kart Tour!). In the meantime, all of you are still able to help me out on the planning front by going to the "Song Candidate Submissions" suggestion form and letting me know what songs from certain games you hope will hit my planbook to do further Super Nintendo song covers on. There are no guarantees, but at least this lets me know you all are still looking forward to new stuff from yours truly as these "final four months" press forward.

Until then, I have to end this here and once again, thanks in advance for your patience as I slowly try my best to get back in full action around these entire operations for this fourth and final quarter of the 2022 year. See you all later.

"Main Website Inquiries" Contact Form Page To Be Reworked Soon

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, August 29, 2022 - 02:43 PM

Good afternoon, friends; this is to give you all advance warning that during the course of the next two weeks, our "Main Website Inquiries" contact form page is going to be getting an update. I already have an idea in terms of the "form layout" that I'm hoping to get in action (plus, I also believe that the said form in question is way overdue for a frontend layout update, anyway). But the main purpose for that form will still be the same: to address any legitimate issues regarding the website itself that you're browsing on right now (include broken file links, clarifying any stuff via questions you might have regarding previous blog entries posted, etc.).

You still shouldn't have any issues with getting in touch with me if you're submitting any main website operation inquiries my direction via this form; that said, still keep in mind that any inquiry sent will count toward deducting from the available submissions that our partner account with Formspree will be able to process for us (we're still not in the danger zone on that front, but still has to be said for everyone's safety and understanding). Also, this does not affect any other forms on the site (including the Discord server invite link request formthe plagiarism report form, and our two suggestion forms).

As always, I will definitely let you all know when the new form layout finally goes live in a seperate announcement posting, so stay tuned. See you all later.

The "Super Mario Kart" Game (And Respective Spinoff Series) Turns 30 Years Old Today

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, August 27, 2022 - 04:22 PM

This just in from my internal sources, everyone - and although yours truly has been doing Super Nintendo music style covers regarding songs from some installments under the related "family" of installments, this one thing is very clear: they would not even exist at all (as well as our song cover stuff) if one very important game back then didn't show up on the scene.

That game in question was the Super Mario Kart installment, which was developed for the Super Nintendo console itself 30 years ago today. Who ever would have thought that this one special game in question conceived by a few minds at the Nintendo Japan headquarters would turn into a huge spinoff installment phenomenon that is still all the rage with videogame hobbyists today (via the current installments of Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Kart Tour)? And it looks like this momentum under this group of games isn't planned on slowing down any time soon.

As for the games in question that we have done song covers for in the Super Nintendo music style focused on certain Mario Kart installments, please make sure to check out the following (as of the date and time of this posting):

Mario Kart Wii
Mario Kart 7
Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Mario Kart Arcade GP DX
Mario Kart Tour
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit

Another friendly reminder that if you have any of these above mentioned "modern" Mario Kart game installments in question, please don't hesitate to let us know via this suggestion form; additionally, if you have any song candidates from said games which you think I should consider doing a future Super Nintendo music style cover for, make sure to let me know about it here (just make sure that you've selected the game installment in question accordingly before entering the song candidate itself).

Once again, many thanks to all of the Nintendo developers in Japan who have ignited a huge spinoff installment phenomenon in general for the Super Mario series as a whole via the Mario Kart family of installments, and here's to the next major milestone for this angle of the franchise. (And here's to our doing more Super Nintendo music styled covers featuring songs from the Mario Kart games as well after today.) Until next time, see you all later.
