ATTENTION: "DISCORD PORTAL" SERVER INVITE LINK REQUEST FORM TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Although I have managed to reclaim my respective Discord account itself as of 4/9/2024, we're still doing some backend "recovery efforts" before we start accepting Discord server invite link requests again. More details here; your patience and understanding in advance is greatly appreciated.

Dormant on Frontend, But Still Busy on Backend; What's Been Going On

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 - 09:31 PM

Good evening, faithful friends/followers of these beloved music operations as a whole; I definitely appreciate your heartfelt patience at this time - besides the recent addition that was made a little over one week ago, I've still been slowly sorting things out on the backend like heck as I try to get back into the Super Nintendo music style arrangement groove full force  and see about clearing out the majority of this backlog before this year is in the history books. And just to prove that I'm not lying, here's what I'm currently having to deal with at this time.

(1) Still Having "Primary Email Issues" Regarding Our "Twitter Portal" Account
As some of you might recall, a few months ago when yours truly had to literally sort out moving this site to a new hosting service months ago, I was also sorting out matters regarding "email correspondence matters" tied to our account with Twitter. To this day, I am still having issues with the support department there getting in touch with me regarding getting that situation completely resolved and I feel they're literally giving me the runaround. At last check, they did get back with me saying that the internal departments will investigate the issue and get back with me when they've finally gotten to the source of the problem. The problem is, they haven't given me an ETA on when that'll happen and I'm just left with closed tickets as a result. I'm still a patient person regarding this matter, but rest assured that I'm not going to let this situation die down easily. Hopefully before this year is out, Twitter will finally see about following up with me with a real answer on getting our music operation's "primary email address" back on file completely. Stay tuned.

(2) Playing Email Correspondence Catch-Up, But Still Waiting To Hear From You!
As this title states, because of real life situations that I've been having to sort through outside of these music operations, as well as taking care of important things on the backend within (including this site), I've been slowly trying my best to catch up on any email correspondence related to here. Progress has been made on this angle during the course of tonight; in the meantime, I'm still patiently waiting to hear from many of you via the main email contact form and especially our two suggestion forms that help in my planning new music arrangement covers to share with you all in the months ahead. As I have always said, although I am the "main author" of these entire operations (as well as the administrator of this site), this is still nothing without you faithful Mario videogame enthusiasts and Super Nintendo music style arrangement fans backing me up, so if you have any legitimate stuff you wanted to send my way via review, make sure to hit the aforementioned links. Just keep in mind the "submission limit" that we're under from the Formspree end (as explained in this previous post).

(3) Community Members Still Needed, Especially For The Coming "Final Four Months"!
I'll definitely elaborate on this another time, especially when we start the month of September, but we definitely need to get in gear and bring in more people who are definitely interested in following these endeavors of covering the "modern" song of the Super Mario (main, spinoff, and branched) videogame installments in the beloved Super Nintendo music style! So if you are a person who definitely has been enjoying what's been presented here and/or if you know someone who also might be very interested (and if both angles meet this criteria), then we definitely need you to join us! The available social media portals related to these music operations are our server on the Discord (after applying for an invite link via this form), submitting a follower request via our Twitter profilejoining our IRC channel on EsperNet, as well as following our SoundCloud profile. My hope is that during the upcoming "final four months" that will hit in less than 1 - 2 weeks from now, I can get back in the music groove and get more music covers posted (that are obviously not targeting songs from Mario Kart Tour!). Oh, I almost forgot about mentioning the "Forum Portal", but that'll still be elaborated on at another time (but I will state that what's getting in the way on that angle is in terms of the "hosting services" setup regarding our account with AwardSpace).

Until then, I have to end this here; bottom line: we're still slowly coming back for sure. The main hope is that new music arrangement postings will be back in full force once we get into September (and the "final four months" period itself). Once again, I thank you all in advance for your patience during this time and take care until we see each other again. I'm out for now.

"SoundCloud Portal" News As Of 8/18/2022

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, August 18, 2022 - 05:26 PM

All right, faithful friends/followers of these music operations as a whole, I've just snagged the chance to let you all know what's been happening in regards to the SoundCloud Portal area; even though that's where yours truly has been posting "personal favorites" of the Super Nintendo music style arrangements that have been shared here, the traffic to our stuff related to that profile has still been insane. And it has still been way since during the course of yesterday when I posted our newest "personal favorite" which is actually what I posted for this site a few days ago.

That said, two things that I need to see about sharing with you quickly: first, if all goes to plan, I'm still going to be checking our related SoundCloud on the backend to see about our available "timespace situation" (because after our posting my latest "personal favorite" there, the account only has 8 available minutes remaining (172 / 180 minutes) under the "free account status". Seriously, I'm praying for a miracle regarding this matter because from what I'm seeing here, the SoundCloud is apparently one of the "clues" that I'm noticing that possibly the "majority" want to actually hear this kind of stuff on platforms like this. We'll see what comes as the months forge ahead.

Second, as much as I don't want to repeat myself about this situation, there are some people out there on SoundCloud that still don't want to read the "disclaimers" that I have put on the "About Me" section of the profile because they hope I can grant exceptions and hope that I'll "notice" them. More specifically, they hope that I'll immediately see about promoting our covers on their so-called "services"... for a price. We've already addressed this matter at the bottom of this post that I've written a few months back and we won't hesitate to block and report certain users who we find are just trying to "advertise" third-party services (as we only want legitimate listeners/followers who match our criteria for our music operations as a whole here). That's how serious we are about making sure ensure we have the legitimate listener/follower base we're looking for and we appreciate your understanding regarding this.

If you have any further questions/inquiries regarding these two angles stated above in this said post, please don't hesitate to let me know. See you all later.

"Mario Kart Tour" - New Arrangement Cover Added: "Sky-High Sundae"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 - 04:29 PM

New Mario Kart Tour music arrangement cover coming your way, awesome people! This time around, it targets yet another "tour exclusive" course that got into action since the middle of last week, and it also carries a song that caught my attention since the day of its announcement: Sky-High Sundae.

The only challenge that I had when this was thrust into my planbook on the backend was what featured Super Nintendo music instrument set for these operations should be called on to do the "music tracker process" for this song cover itself. And thank heavens that we did have one on standby that we haven't used in months... Konami's Gradius III. For those who are familiar with the instrument/song stylings from that game, I'm sure you'll be in for a treat in terms of how I approached using this set to do this new cover for Mario Kart Tour's "Sky-High Sundae" course theme song.

Be aware that although this doesn't match how epic the original song itself is, I still had to take some "arrangement liberties" because there were certain parts of the song that were with all due respect... a bit insane (especially in regards to the "bass line" section). But I still made sure that the "high energy" of the song itself was still there, especially at some critical parts of the song itself. I'm sure you'll enjoy the end results of this as well.

The download link to said file can be accessed below:

New File No.
Song Title
SNES Music Arrangement Style/Featured Instrument Set
1
Sky-High Sundae
Gradius III

That's all for now; as always, if you have any problems with accessing said file itself, please let me know as soon as possible. See you all later.

Two News Tidbits Regarding Music Arrangement Happenings Involving "Mario Kart Tour"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, August 13, 2022 - 05:01 PM

Apologies again for being "dormant" on the frontend music operations wise, everyone; however, I can tell you that I am still not silent on the backend! So many real life happenings have been hitting me left and right and I've just snagged the chance during this Saturday afternoon to give you two "formal announcements" and once again, they're both involving my Super Nintendo music style cover efforts regarding songs from Mario Kart Tour.

First, for those of you who are confirmed followers of our Twitter Portal profile, I posted during the course of yesterday this new poll regarding the song covers that have been posted so far related to Mario Kart Tour. More specifically, it's regarding to the feature music instrument sets that have been involved so far and I'm just curious to know what's everyone's favorite music instrument/arrangement style from these covers that are available for your checking out so far. Don't forget that this poll itself will close during the course of this coming Friday (8/19/2022), so make sure you don't procrastinate and lock in your votes before then. And as always, if you are not a confirmed follower for our Twitter profile itself, make sure to head for our profile page and submit a follower request there (if approved, then you'll be able to see that poll itself in question).

Second, if all goes to plan, another new music cover targeting yet another tune from the Mario Kart Tour game itself will be headed your way during the course of next week. Details are still under lock and key in regards to what that song could be, but dang, those composers have been ON FIRE regarding new course tunes for this game as of late! I'll elaborate further on this once I snag the chance to finalize the new file in question for posting; you won't want to miss this when it goes live!

Until then, that's all for now; I've got to get back into my "weekend mode" routine. You all have a great rest of your weekend, and I'll see you awesome people again during the course of the new week itself. I'm out.
