"Twitter Poll Series" Follow Up (Featured SNES Music Instrument Sets) / Other Related Reminders

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, October 10, 2020 - 10:09 AM

Currently in the "weekend mode" at this time, but wanted to make sure and touch bases with you all regarding how things are going regarding the recent polls that I have been placing on our music operation's Twitter account focused on the featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets that I use in my arrangement covers here - those polls are still ongoing and I thank those of you who have responded to your votes for them so far. As always, we could use some more supports so when you do see those polls show up (during the Monday - Friday timeframe), make sure to chime in with your vote in question. As of the date/time of this posting, the polls that are "active" at this time focus on the featured music instrument sets that have been done for these following SNES games: Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose!, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters, Plok, The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, and The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie. Remember that each poll posted here closes one week after its posting time, so make sure you've taken care of casting your votes for them before the expiration itself occurs.

On a slightly related note, this is a friendly reminder to all of you faithful followers/listeners of these beloved music operations that whether or not you actually have a Twitter account to vote in the series of polls that I've been posting there, your voice is still important to help me forumlate my planbook for the remaining months ahead for this year and especially as we get into the 2021 year. You're able to submit your responses by going to this suggestion form to not only let me know what involved Super Nintendo music instrument sets you might be familiar with, but to also give me word about what featured Mario game installments (main and branched, including spinoff installments). As what was stated in related previous blog entries before this one, your responses to this are crucial because this will tell me what kind of stuff the "majority" of you are hoping I'll focus on in these final months of 2020 along with preparing for the new year itself.

Thanks once again for your patience as well as for your time and consideration in advance. I appreciate all of you faithful visitors, fellow Mario video game series enthusiasts, and most importantly, those of you who are also into making sure that the Super Nintendo music style arrangement cover scene is still alive and well as a whole (I'm just doing my part in regards to the Mario game series itself, but still answering the call). See you all later.

"Mario Kart Tour" - New SNES Music Style Arrangement Cover: "Los Angeles Laps"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, October 8, 2020 - 01:51 PM

It's been a long time coming, everyone; after having to endure months of "new music arrangement file drought/dormancy" that was caused as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic since mid-March, yours truly has thankfully found that "alternate breakthrough" needed to start attacking the huge backlog of new Super Nintendo music styled arrangements that have been waiting to get posted. And this new one posted today should start things off nicely.

As the blog entry's title states, the latest Super Nintendo music style arrangement cover here is targeting the background score of "Los Angeles Laps" from Mario Kart Tour. If you all can recall, this course itself was added as one of the newest "originals" for the mobile app installment since two weeks ago (and the "featured course" during the course of September 23, 2020 - October 6, 2020 for its related tour there). Not to mention that this is also the newest "original course" since February as well (when the "Vancouver Velocity" course was added to the lineup for said game).

The featured SNES music instrument set involved is from Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge (as done by Geoff and Tim Follin of LJN/Software Creations). And as for the file itself to check out, you are able to do so here.

As always, if you still have any issues with accessing this new SNES music style arrangement file itself, please don't hesitate to contact me about the matter as soon as possible. Take care for now, awesome people! I'm out.

"Mario Kart Tour" - 1st Anniversary Shoutout (And Other Music Operations Related News)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 - 06:52 AM

"First Anniversary" image for Mario Kart Tour (courtesy of Nintendo's Twitter account for the said game)

So a little over one year ago (September 25, 2019 to be exact), the first Mario Kart installment for mobile devices got on the scene (under the name of Mario Kart Tour). For these music operations since then, according to this related page, I have done a total of four Super Nintendo music style arrangements covering the musical score of said game.

Although this post is to give our shoutouts for Mario Kart Tour making its first anniversary, this is also to announce that if all goes to plan, we might have our newest Super Nintendo music style arrangement targeting another song from this game posted before the new weekend hits (because I may have also found that "alternate breakthrough" needed to start attacking a very huge backlog of files awaiting finalization for posting to share with you all here). You won't want to miss this; I know that for all of us here, it's been a long time coming since mid-March when COVID-19 started to get in everyone's way, including yours truly. Stay tuned, awesome people! I'm out.

October 2020 Greetings: The "Final Three Months" Are Now Here / Possible New Music Arrangement Files Coming Soon...?

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, October 1, 2020 - 07:39 PM

What's happening, awesome people? We have now arrived at the "final three months" of an oh-so-challenging year that has tested all of us in many ways imaginable. In regards to these music operations as a whole, although yours truly has been trying hard to keep you all informed and let everyone know that I'm still alive and not giving up on this thing, there has been a very large gap in regards to getting new Super Nintendo music style arrangements posted. If you can recall, the last ones that I did were targeting the musical score of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, which can be seen here; this was posted way back in March a few days before the "coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic" started to wreak havoc on the United States and messing up everyone's routines, including mine.

Fast forward to today: the COVID-19 pandemic is still wreaking havoc everywhere without any mercy, and I've still got this backlog of upcoming Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers to see about finishing up and/or finalizing to share with you faithful followers/listeners. I know you all are asking: "M. C., it's been six to seven months without any new stuff from you; when will we get the chance to see any new postings?"

The answer: I'm seriously am still hoping we can at least start to get this rolling before the end of the year. Recently, I've been investigating some online audio editing tools/websites that could be good candidates to use for the finalizing process after I've finished the "tracker procedure" for each Super Nintendo music style arrangement done. Nothing final as of yet, but I'm closing in on something that I could possibly use during these "final three months". Additionally, I've managed to purchase a new flash drive that I'm specifically using for doing the "finalizing process" of new files for these music operations; I am keeping fingers crossed that if there aren't any snags in this investigation process, you just might see new "music arrangement postings" from me during this final quarter of the year. Fingers crossed!

Meanwhile, on a quick side note: I may have mentioned this before on a previous entry on the site, but it bears talking about once again - although I haven't run into cases like this yet for our music operations, I have seen via "social media portals" like Twitter and Discord many cases of certain people committing blatant "plagiarism" of other people's works (whether it be actual artistic works, musical works in general, etc.). As you all know, plagiarism is a situation that I take very seriously; even one case of plagiarism is too much and is a personal insult to the person that actually did the work to begin with in the first place, and it is just flat out wrong and unethical. I am hoping that during the course of this month, we can see about getting a new form implemented on this site which will allow you faithful followers/listeners/visitors of these beloved music operations to alert me of any case of plagiarism regarding the related music files hosted at this place. More details to come soon regarding this matter; but until then, this is to be made very clear: we will not allow any form of "plagiarism" regarding our music arrangement file stuff, period. And here's hoping that when we do get the new form in action, we can find and go after those that try to test these music operations via that offending angle and put them in check. Stay tuned, everyone.

Until then, I have to end this here and get ready for a very challenging "final three months" ahead starting tonight. As always, make sure to keep this front page in your browser's bookmarks so you won't miss any new postings from yours truly; also, don't forget to submit a follower request on our Twitter account if you haven't already, submit an temporary invite link request to our related Discord server, or even join us on IRC. See you awesome people later, I'm out.
