Twitter Poll Series Follow-Up: Featured SNES Music Instrument Sets - All Done (For Now)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, October 29, 2020 - 05:01 PM

A quick "follow-up" regarding the series of polls that we've been posting on Twitter regarding the involved featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets used for these operation's arrangement files that are posted here, all.

So during the course of yesterday on our Twitter profile, I posted the last Twitter poll that targeted the "most recent" SNES music instrument set that was "featured" for these operations as a whole - "Lethal Enforcers" (developed and published by Konami). That means that at this time, the current polls on Twitter that are currently active are the following targeting these SNES music instrument sets in question:

* Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (Bandai) - closing in 14 hours from the date/time of this post
* Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts (Capcom) - closing in 3 days
* Gradius III (Konami) - closing in 4 days
* Lethal Enforcers (Konami) - closing in 5 days

Here's the thing: even though the latest Twitter poll will close in 5 days from the date/time of this blog entry posting, this does not mean that I am done with this "batch" of polls entirely. Without disclosing any critical details, upcoming music arrangement file additions (being planned for during the course of next month) are going to also involve some newly featured SNES music instrument sets as well. You'll want to make sure to keep it bookmarked on this front page to see what they are going to be. And when they do get featured, expect Twitter poll entries for them as well so I can still get a better idea in what the majority says about the newly featured SNES music instrument sets in question.

Long story short, to those of you who have an active Twitter account and have been following our profile but haven't cast your votes in the above polls that are currently "active" at this time, please do so before the expiry hits for each one! And thanks to those of you who have been voting in previous polls regarding other featured SNES music instrument sets that have been involved for these operations; hopefully I can deal with writing a separate article discussing about the results that I've gathered (this is also planned for during the course of November, but note that it is still subject to change).

Until next time, I'm gone for now; see you all later.

New Site Form Available: Plagiarism File Reporting

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, October 26, 2020 - 07:45 PM

Tonight, everyone, I'm happy to announce that a new site form is now available for you all to use when the need arises to let me know about any "plagiarism attempts" regarding our music arrangement files themselves. Although so far, I haven't run into any cases yet on my personal end, the possibility of people unethically copying our music arrangement stuff still exists out there on the Internet as a whole outside of this site and our operations entirety; just one "plagiarism case" is still one too many.

As you all know, I'm just one person keeping tabs on all angles of these operations, especially in regards to the "upkeep end" of this stuff. With this new form in play starting tonight, you faithful friends/followers/listeners of this beloved music operation will have the chance to alert me if you see any of this stuff on other sites that has been posted/shared without my authorization. Each report received will be carefully reviewed before any legitimate action is taken against those who are found to have committed said action with our music arrangement content.

Keep in mind that so far, the only "external site exception" is my reposting certain arrangements from this place to our SoundCloud profile (once again, these are where my "personal favorites" can be found). I'm still investigating other angles in terms of where I can share all of this music arrangement stuff outside of this place (and to also get other "followers" to join us here on this site and our other "social media portals" on IRCTwitter, and Discord). When any new "candidates" have been found that qualify for the "external site excepctions list", I'll make sure to make the announcements/adjustments accordingly.

As always, if you have any further questions about this new form that was just implemented, please don't hesitate to let me know as soon as possible with your concerns. Thanks in advance, all.

"Super Mario 3D All-Stars" Possible Planning; Your Responses Needed A.S.A.P.

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, October 23, 2020 - 08:22 PM

Okay, all - as many of you are already aware, the special installment to commemorate the Super Mario game series' 35th anniversary hit store shelves worldwide for the Nintendo Switch console (under the name of Super Mario 3D All-Stars). I briefly elaborated in this article a little over one month ago about possiible planning of finding song candidates to do Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers for; however, if it does happen, they'll be posted on one game page under the Super Mario 3D All-Stars title (and it'll only hold two "categories": Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine; we already have a game page which houses all of the SNES music arrangement covers that I've done for Super Mario Galaxy which can be checked out by going here).

Here's the situation, however: as you folks also know, both Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine were originally released for their respective consoles out of this music operations' "target console scope" (Super Mario 64 was released for the Nintendo 64 console and Super Mario Sunshine was released for the Nintendo Gamecube console). This is where your responses are needed A.S.A.P. in aiding of making my final planning decisions - more specifically, in the case of both Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, because of their being part of this "compilation" for the Nintendo Switch, did you all still want me to find those "song candidates" in question for the Super Nintendo music style arrangement treatment process?

Earlier today, I posted a special poll on our Twitter account to ask this question (which will be available for one week after the time of its posting, as always). Of course, if you're not following us yet to see this poll there, please do not hesitate to head there and submit a follower request so that when I get your inquiry approved (during the Monday - Friday timeframe, of course, except on major holidays), you can find the related poll itself and cast a vote so your voice can be heard. I will also be posing this question shortly to those of you who are part of our music operation's Discord server as well, so be on the lookout for that on the respective channel talking about this music operations itself (don't forget that if you aren't a part of our community base there for these endeavors, go to this page to file a temporary invite link request).

Long story short - if you haven't done so already, please make sure that you definitely respond to this question regarding my planning preparations for Super Mario 3D All-Stars (especially in the case of both Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine installments featured there). It would be greatly appreciated, thank you all in advance. I'm out.

"Music Arrangement File Statistics" Document Update As of 10/14/'20

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, October 15, 2020 - 04:06 PM

Although this entry is a few days late after the actual update to the document itself prior to it, because of the newest music arrangement file addition that was added during the course of last week targeting a song from Mario Kart Tour, the respective "Music Arrangement File Statistics" document was updated accordingly to reflect that new addition itself.

At this time in regards to the featured Mario Kart Tour installment itself for these music operations arrangement files wise, it has been slowly working up the respective chart there. It is now currently tied with Luigi's Mansion (because the respective pages now have five Super Nintendo music style arrangements done for said games). Time will only tell if Mario Kart Tour will continue to work its way up when I find more candidates to work on SNES music style covers, so stay tuned there.

Meanwhile, I've still been hard at work trying to find time to clear my music arrangement target backlog; according to this page, I currently have 12 files that I'm currently doing "the process" on and 32 files waiting to be finalized and/or posted. Two installments are leading in this regard queue wise which do not have their pages implement yet on this site: Paper Mario: The Origami King and Mario Sports Superstars. At this time, I'm still rechecking my overall schedule on the backend to snag the chance to make more progress on this because I am determined to bring the music arrangement file queue number down before the end of this year. However, please note that there is no guarantee that all will be dealt with; but one thing is certain: the same "Music Arrangement File Statistics" document is going to get rocked as the charts get shaken up after new files get added. You can count on it. There might even be an article incoming about certain stuff in related to that document as the weeks forge ahead, so stay tuned on that end as well.

Until then, I have to head out for now. Stay stafe until next entry, everyone, and I'll see you all later.
