Masayuki Uemura, Super Nintendo System Creator, Passes Away at 78
Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, December 10, 2021 - 01:39 AM
Masayuki Uemura, Super Nintendo game console creator (1943 - 2021)
This just in to my music operations' newsroom, everyone (and my finally able to pass this word along after taking a long nap hours ago from dealing with some important errands outside of here) - it's with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the creator of the Super Nintendo game console itself, Masayuki Uemura, has passed away at the age of 78.
Not only was this person involved in the creation of the Super Nintendo game console way back in the 1990s, but its predecessor as well (which would obviously be the Nintendo Entertainment System). Both of these major contributions to the Nintendo company as a whole, along with the videogame industry itself at large, would literally set the course of what would follow afterwards including what we've been experiencing now regarding the videogame consoles available today as we speak.
We here definitely give out sincere thanks to Uemura for this very important contribution to the videogame hobbyist community at large and offer our condolences to the rest of his family.
Godspeed, Uemura; we salute you.

"Music File Statistics Rankings Document" - Quick News Tidbits From 12/2/'21 Update
Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, December 6, 2021 - 01:08 PM
Hi there, friends; happy Monday to all of you here on these music operations as a whole. So here's what's been going on - I hoped that during the past weekend I would have gotten a new article written up elaborating about recent update activity for our "Music File Statistics Rankings Document" that was done late last week (and this was following all of the new file additions that were made targeting songs from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, WarioWare: Get It Together!, and Super Mario 3D All-Stars). But after noticing that there was some inconsistency with certain numbers (especially in regards to the first category which denotes how many files are available for checking out for each featured Mario game installment listed (including main installments, spinoff installments, and "branched" insallments) not matching the numbers listed on this page), I snagged the time during the previous weekend itself to get that matter corrected on said document instead. This should all be accounted for and the document is now on standby once again as new Super Nintendo music styled covers get posted during the course of possibly this week and next week (but especially before we hit the "Christmas holidays period" which is coming sooner than we think!).
That all said, there are still some quick noteworthy things that I need to share on this posting even though it has already been shared technically on the related changelog:
First, in regards to the "Featured Mario Game Installments" category of the document:
* Because of the recent music file additions made from this update last week, the Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury installment now has the #1 spot that was previously held by Super Paper Mario (which has now dropped to the #2 position; the Game & Wario installment ends the "top three ranks" in that category still at this time).
* WarioWare: Get It Together! makes its debut on said category in rank #28 while Super Mario 3D All-Stars (focused on songs from Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine) makes its debut in rank #24.
Next, in the case of the "Featured Super Nintendo Instrument Sets" category, that portion definitely got shaken up since late last month and I have a feeling it's only the start of what's coming down the road. Details on this angle are as follows:
* Biker Mice From Mars (Konami) - This instrument set jumped three ranks up and it's currently sitting in the #23 spot after new covers targeting songs from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury were posted on 11/27/'21.
* Disney's Magical Quest 2 (The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie) (Capcom/Disney) - This one made a jump four positions and is now tied in the #14 spot with the instrument set for Animaniacs (Konami); this occured when songs from Super Mario 3D All-Stars were posted last week (Super Mario 64 side).
* Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage (Sunsoft/Viacom New Media) - Slight jump on this one; now it is currently tied in the #10 spot alongside The Adventures of Batman & Robin (Konami).
And as stated earlier, this is only just the beginning of this document entirely getting rocked in the coming days. What changes could be next as new files get posted for these operations during that time? You'll have to stay tuned to find out. Until then, I'll see you awesome people later. Take care, all!

Site Correspondence Form Submissions Reminders As Of 12/4/'21
Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, December 4, 2021 - 12:04 PM
Because of the recent game page implementations on this site during the past week corresponding with new music file additions which include new Super Nintendo music style arrangement stuff targeting songs from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, WarioWare: Get It Together!, and Super Mario 3D All-Stars (focused on song covers involving stuff from Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine), the majority of forms on this site have been updated since a few days ago to reflect these changes. More specifially, you're able to see these three recent titles on our Song Candidate Suggestions form, the Featured Mario Installments / SNES Music Instrument Sets form, and the Plagiarism Report form.
A few things to keep in mind in regards to said games, especially in regards to if you plan to send my direction some Song Candidate Suggestion submissions:
(1) Make sure that the email address that you write is valid when I receive your submission. In the event of my questioning said submission for review, I might be contacting you back for further clarification on what you have entered on the form.
(2) Ensure that you have read any floated announcements/guidelines on the top of each form, if any. This especially goes for the Song Candidates Suggestions form and the Featured Mario Installments / SNES Music Instrument Sets form.
(3) For the love of God and everyone else's time, please make sure you look over your form repsonses themselves before you hit that "Submit" button! I've received some form submissions in the past only to find that some people have forgotten to fill out at least one critical piece of information needed. Sometimes, I can still figure out the submission itself that you're trying to relay my direction, but it's still aggravating to use extra time to get to that point in the process.
(4) Finally, don't be alarmed if after you've hit the "Submit" button you encounter a CAPTCHA page from Formspree. As noted on the bottom of all our existing forms on this site, these are the providers who have been hosting our site form operations here and is the "security process" to ensure that you're not a bot that's attempting to submit your form response itself.
That's all that needs to be shared for the time being; thanks in advance once again for your reading this notice and heeding to these above stated reminders accordingly. Have a great rest of your weekend and I'll see you again during the course of next week as we attempt to clear our music arrangement targets backlog even further for these operations. Later, all!

"Super Mario 3D All-Stars" Game Page Now In Action
Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, December 2, 2021 - 09:30 PM
Tonight, we officially add another new game page onto our operations (along with getting five new Super Nintendo music style arrangements off our backlog as well) - and it all comes under the name of Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
But remember what I said before: for this particular case of our music operations here, we're only housing covers that deal with songs from two featured installments under this Nintendo Switch compilation - Super Mario 64 (which was originally released for the Nintendo 64 console) and Super Mario Sunshine (which was originally released for the Nintendo Gamecube console). The Super Mario Galaxy installment already has its respective game page housing the Super Nintendo music styled covers I did for it; they can be found here if you haven't checked them out yet.
As for the song covers themselves to start out the Super Mario 3D All-Stars page itself, they are listed below along with links to the files themselves. As always, if you have any problems with these new additions in question, please let me know promptly by email. Take care for now, everyone.
