September 2023 Greetings: The "Final Four Months" Are Here Again; Slowly Playing Catch-Up After The Recent Holiday Weekend

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 - 04:43 PM

Finally snagged the chance to get our "formal monthly greetings" posted for these music operations officially starting September and the "final four months" period of this 2023 year! I am so glad that we've made it to this point of the calendar because that's where all the "major holidays" fall under during this last quarter of the year. My only hope is that on the backend, we can start to slowly pick up the pace in getting new Super Nintendo music styled arrangement covers posted for sharing with you all before this year itself is in the history books.

But before I get back to action on that angle and reviewing my planbook regarding which song covers I should tackle next, I'm currently playing a bit of catch-up including getting resituated on the backend catching up on email correspondence as well as finding time on my schedule this week to update the "Music Arrangements File Rankings" document as well as writing a new "Music Arrangements Outlook" article related to the recent Nintendo Direct presentation that was posted last Thursday which focused on the upcoming Nintendo Switch Mario series installment, Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Be on the lookout for future announcements on when these updates in question occur.

In the meantime, as I elaborated in previous posts, don't forget that I still am patiently waiting to hear from many of you via our two online suggestion forms as usual! Especially since they were recently updated upon my posting these recent additions housing the Super Nintendo music styled arrangement covers targeting songs from another Mario Kart arcade game installment, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. I haven't decided if any further songs will be done as the months forge ahead; regardless, your input on this specified form will still be a very big help to me giving clues on what songs from this and/or other listed games should be considered in future additions for these music operations as a whole. Yours truly wants to make sure that our music arrangement content activity for this final quarter of the year ends on a very high note (and definitely much better as compared to last year). Despite a whole bunch of real life situations consistently getting in the way including work obligations that have me occupied for most of the latter part of each week, my enthusiasm for the Mario game series as a whole is still strong, as well as my love of the Super Nintendo music style arrangement process. I do not take this God-given musical talent for granted.

However, I'll elaborate further on the "community portal" aspect in another post because I'm writing this formal "monthly greetings entry" from my town's library computers at this time before having to take the town buses heading back to home. But I can say that more than ever, we definitely need to increase our "community portal" numbers for all active channels related to these music operations as a whole between now and the end of this year. I know those people are still out there who are also into stuff like this; we've come too far on these endeavors to shut down now.

Until then, thanks as always for your heartfelt patience as we begin this brand new month of September (as well as the "final four months" period); if you still have any further questions after reading this blog entry post itself, please do not hesitate to send an inquiry my direction so I can get back with you as soon as I get your correspondence. Take care until next time around, and I'll see you awesome people later. I'm out.

New Game Page In Action: "Mario Kart Arcade GP 2" (With Three New Music Arrangement Covers)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, August 31, 2023 - 10:07 PM

Was hoping to have these new music arrangement postings during the course of last week following these recent Mario Kart 8 music arrangement additions as well, but better late than never, right?

So, a little over one year since we implemented the game page housing Super Nintendo music styled arrangement covers focused on songs heard from Mario Strikers: Battle League (as well as a little over three years since we posted music covers targeting songs from a Mario Kart arcade installment - more specifically, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX), we are happy to announce the newest game page for our site which will house the music covers yours truly has done focusing on the score for another Mario Kart arcade installment in this unique family: Mario Kart Arcade GP 2.

As most of you should know, the Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 installment was done as a collaboration between Bandai Namco Games and Nintendo (with Bandai Namco taking the lead on develop/publishing/marketing efforts for said game). Just recently, some of the songs that was composed for this game recently crossed my radar because of how insanely addictive they all are; tonight, three of those songs have now been posted for you all to check out. You can access them via the below links:

New File No.
Song Title
SNES Music Arrangement Style/Featured Instrument Set
1
Opening Title
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES Version - Konami)
2
Stadium Arena / Waluigi Stadium
Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge
3
Yoshi Park
Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge

Also, as a result of this, the majority of our online forms on this site have been updated to reflect this new game page addition (including, but not limited to, the "Song Candidate Suggestions" form and the "Featured Mario Game Installments / Featured SNES Music Instrument Sets" form). So if you have played the Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 game itself in question before and ran into any other songs which you think I should consider checking into doing covers on down the road, please don't hesitate to let me know from those linked suggestion forms.

And as always, if you have any issues with accessing the newest music file links in this post, please don't hesitate to let me know as soon as possible so I can address the matter(s) presented to me in a timely manner. Thanks in advance, all; take care for now.

"Super Mario Bros. Wonder" Direct Presentation Incoming for 8/31/2023

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 - 10:37 AM

This just in from my sources, everyone - the Nintendo company as a whole announced that a special Nintendo Direct is headed our direction later this week focusing on the upcoming Mario installment Super Mario Bros. Wonder (which is slated for release on store shevles next month; more specifically, 10/20/2023).

As always, and once again, I'll be checking through this upcoming presentation very carefully to see if the "priority status" for my music arrangement planbook might be changing since we posted a "MEDIUM PRIORITY" status from the last "Music Arrangements Outlook" article I've wrote after this installment itself was first announced back in 6/21/2023. Here's hoping for the best for said stuff that will be announced for the upcoming game itself; however, yours truly is hoping for the best definitely on the music arrangement cover planbook end since even though we currently have this in "MEDIUM PRIORITY", that still means that this game in question is in no doubt on our radar.

As for the upcoming presentation itself, it's slated to be posted this coming Thursday (8/31/2023) and can be seen here. I'll see if I can definitely do another "Music Arrangements Outlook Article" afterwards when said video goes live, so stay tuned! See you all later.

New Music Covers Incoming Targeting "Mario Kart Arcade GP 2" / "Music File Statistics Rankings Document" To Be Updated Soon

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, August 28, 2023 - 03:01 PM

Good afternoon, friends and followers of these beloved music operations as a whole; there are two quick news tidbits that I need to share with you all as we get resituated for this new work week itself. So, here's what has been going on as of the date and time of this posting:

(1) Incoming Music Covers Targeting Songs from Mario Kart Arcade GP 2
So in case you haven't noticed from previous blog entry postings before this one (as well as taking a glimpse at our Music Arrangements Progress Page), I have been working on a few new Super Nintendo music styled covers that target songs from yet another Mario Kart arcade game installment that was done in collaboration between Bandai Namco Games and Nintendo - the same game in question is Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. Currently, I'm in the "finalization process" of the three files that finished their "tracker process" from the past two to three weeks; the hope is that like last week's file additions, we can get these new files posted prior to the end of this month. This will also result in a new game page being added to the site as well; as mentioned earlier, this will be the second "arcade game page" to be added alongside the other Mario Kart Arcade installment, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX.

(2) Update to the "Music File Statistics Rankings Document" Coming Soon
I am aware that this aforementioned document has yet to get updated ever since we managed to get things rolling again last week with new Super Nintendo music styled arrangement cover postings. We're just holding off on it until we see about taking care of the upcoming three new covers targeting songs from Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 before we start doing document adjustments. But I can tell already that when we do get to it, we might have to brace for some "upsets" in both categories on the document. Just saying.

That's all for now, everyone; take care until I see you all next time around as this new week progresses. And don't forget to send me an email if you have any further questions about this post itself in question. See you all later.
