New Game Page Added: "Paper Mario: The Origami King" (With 10 New Music Arrangement Additions)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, November 30, 2020 - 03:23 PM

And right on cue to close out this month of November, our "backlog clearing" efforts for these beloved music operations continue in full force, awesome people! This time around, a new game page has been added housing Super Nintendo music style arrangements covering the score of Paper Mario: The Origami King.

As the blog entry title states, there are a total of 10 covers that I've done involving certain songs from this Nintendo Switch game in question for this update today, including the following:

Picnic Road (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
Graffiti Underground (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
Snif City (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
Temple of Shrooms: "M-A-X Power!" (using the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time instrument set)
Paper Macho Gooper Blooper (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
Peach's Castle Transformed into Origami Castle (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
Origami Castle (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
King Olly Fight - Phase 3 ("Restore the Magic Circle!") (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
Game Over (Main Jingle) (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)
Game Over (Menu Choices) (using the Disney's Aladdin instrument set)

I'll be possibly updating this post regarding the related update made to our "Music File Statistics" rankings document as a result of the new music arrangement postings here, but I can tell you right now that like the update made to it last week, it got rocked again today with one Super Nintendo music instrument set making a big jump and another one being "tied" with a competing set. Stay tuned on that front.

Until then, as always, if you have any problems with accessing of these files, please make sure to let me know of the case so I can get on it in a timely manner. Thanks in advance, all, and I'll see you folks next posting!

New Game Page Added: "Paper Mario: Color Splash" (With 8 New Music Arrangement Additions)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, November 23, 2020 - 07:43 PM

Slightly imitating the "styling" of the beloved Al Roker from the NBC TODAY morning news show: "WE'RE BACK, BABY!"

Technically, yours truly has been technically back in the Super Nintendo music style arrangement sharing groove since my last posting, but that was nothing compared to this.

That's right, awesome people, it's time to at last start clearing out the majority of this backlog! And it starts with our also adding our newest featured game page for these operations which are housing the eight new Super Nintendo music instrument arrangement covers that I've done targeting the score related to Paper Mario: Color Splash (which as the majority of you know was the final Mario game installment developed for Nintendo's Wii U console). As for the new file postings themselves, they are the following (along with the featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets that were used for each one):

Prologue (The Mysterious Letter and Dangerous Voyage) (Batman Returns (SNES Version - Konami))
Sunset Express (Inspector Gadget)
Fortune Island (The Adventures of Batman & Robin (SNES Version - Konami))
Fortune Island (Boss Fight - Wendy) (The Adventures of Batman & Robin (SNES Version - Konami))
Fort Cobalt (Boss Fight - Ludwig) (Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose!)
Black Bowser's Castle (Arrival at Entrance) (Batman Returns (SNES Version - Konami))
Black Bowser's Castle (Lobby/Princess Peach Found and "Color Drained"!) (Super Castlevania IV)
Black Bowser's Castle (Main Theme) (Batman Returns (SNES Version - Konami))

And on a side note, because of these new additions that were added tonight, our "Music File Statistics" Rankings Document has started to get it's first "major shakeup"; however, I doubt it's going to be the last between now and the end of this year. For the "Featured Mario Game Installments" portion of the document, Paper Mario: Color Splash makes its debut at the #16 rank (with the eight new arrangements that I've posted) which is tied with Mario Kart Arcade GP DX (which also has a total of eight Super Nintendo music style arrangement postings that I've done covering that game as well). On the "Featured Super Nintendo Music Instrument Sets" portion, certain music instrument sets have made some jumps as a result as well; notably: Batman Returns (SNES Version - Konami), Super Castlevania IV (Konami), and The Adventures of Batman & Robin (SNES Version - Konami). Could there be any more shakeups to come as more new covers get posted in the coming weeks? We'll have to wait and see.

Until then, as always, if you have any problems with accessing and listening to these newest covers listed above, please don't hesitate to let me know about the matter so I can look into the matter and rectify it as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for your patience, everyone, and take care until next music update announcement posting!

Quick Reminder About Our Available "Suggestion Forms"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, November 21, 2020 - 12:38 PM

Just a quick reminder to all of you faithful followers/listeners of these beloved music operations that since a little over one month ago, two "suggestion forms" came online which will allow you to submit certain things that will aid in my planning for these final two months of the year as well as preparing for the upcoming 2021 year itself.

First, if you think there is a certain song that I should consider doing a Super Nintendo music style arrangement of (as long as it's from a related Super Mario and/or branched videogame installment done for the Wii/Wii U/Nintendo 3DS/mobile systems), you can let me know about possible candidates to investigate by filling out the "Song Candidate Submissions" form.

Second, I'm still open to know from everyone what featured modern Super Mario game installments for these music operations (main and "branched", including spinoff installments) are you folks familiar with, along with what featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets are of your interest as well (in terms of if you've played said games and/or heard the musical score itself for each one). If you haven't done so already, head for the "Featured Mario Game Installments / SNES Music Instrument Sets" form and make your choices accordingly.

For both forms mentioned above, please make sure that you're definitely honest in your submissions to me as I carefully review them upon receipt; once again, this is mainly to help prepare my planbook for the remainder of this year as well as getting ready for what you hope I'll target new music arrangement content wise when 2021 comes arrive (and of course, especially after I get the "current backlog" out of the way slowly but surely starting next week itself).

Thanks once again for your time and support in advance as well as your responses to these matters, and have a good rest of your weekend. See you all next week.

New Music Arrangement Postings Coming Very Soon! (And A Few Quick "Interactive Portal" Reminders)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, November 19, 2020 - 08:36 PM

Hey, what's happening, awesome people? I am pleased to follow up with you all and announced that yours truly has been hard at work behind the scenes of this beloved music operation to at last get a bunch of upcoming new Super Nintendo music style arrangement files posted for you all to check out along with making a much needed dent of this page (more specifically, to bring the queue number down between now and the end of this year).

Keep in mind that because of my overall schedule and/or obligations outside of this place, I won't be posting everything all at once. I am hoping that starting next week (and before the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday period that will be in action in one week from now) to get our first batch of new files in action; additionally, without disclosing any critical details, it's going to involve adding an all new "game page" for this section of our site (which hasn't happened since less than one year ago when I started doing SNES music style arrangement covers targeting the score of Mario Tennis Aces). Bottom line, everyone: you won't want to miss what awesome stuff I've done for you all to listen to between now and the Christmas holidays next month! Keep it bookmarked on this front page for sure; I'm very sure that you won't regret it starting next week.

This is also a good time to remind you all that if you are not a part of our "follower communities" for these related music operations, please don't hesitate to take care of this as soon as possible! Follower/join request inquiries are still open for both our related Discord server and Twitter profile (which I'll have to manually approve new folks provided you meet this criteria), and you're still able to see about following us on SoundCloud, as well as joining us on IRC (via EsperNet). For the majority of these, I'll be posting the "heads up" on when the new postings get added so you'll definitely be in the know from those angles. And I really do hope that as we get the majority of the backlog out of the way regarding music arrangements waiting to be shared, I'll finally deal with the "forum portal" angle of this site that's been staring me in the face for months. Take care until next time, all, and continue to stay safe out there! I'm out.
