September 2021 Greetings: The "Final Four Months" Are Here Again (And What's Been Happening On The Backend So Far)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, September 6, 2021 - 08:54 PM

Hey there, friends; very sorry for the huge delay in writing this formal "monthly greetings" entry (yep, blame real life situations still getting in my way). Not to mention that I've finally snagged the chance during the remaining hours of this Labor Day holiday to give you all a quick update on what's been happening on the backend side of these music operations (which is kind of like what I have elaborated on this previous entry, but better late than never, right?)

First and foremost, regarding our SoundCloud account: at this time, I am still checking through the list there to see if I need to do any more trimming to free up available timespace (right now, it's currently telling me that I'm currently at 162 minutes used / 180 minutes available). And considering that I might have some new "personal favorites" down the road to add when the time comes, I have to make some very careful decisions on what songs need to be take down there because many of you have been responding via likes/reposts of this stuff and big time (including putting this stuff on your respective playlists); this definitely means a lot to me and I thank you all very much for it. That said, I'm still hoping I can still find breakthroughs to see about doing necessary account upgrades for much needed timespace increasing. Fingers crossed.

Second, the upcoming song cover targets "backlog": Yes, I'm still reviewing this to definitely get back in the groove big time starting this month so we can get the queue number on that page down. It's happened before during the course of late last year when COVID-19 had a hold on all of us, but I managed to pull through then and I'm still optimistic that we can do it again. But details are still under lock and key in regards to what stuff will be targeted to finalize for sharing with you all during these "final four months", but you can bet that when the stuff does get posted for listening, the usual new file addition announcements will be posted here, as usual. You don't want to miss out on this thing, that's for certain!

Until then, as always, I thank you all in advance for your patience as we start to begin forging through these last four months of the 2021 year; it's been one roller coaster ride prior to this new month, but let's hope we can end this final quarter on a very positive note music arrangement content wise. I'm looking forward to this as well on my end. If you have any further questions about what's been shared on this blog entry, please don't hesitate to contact me via email, as always. See you all later.

"Backend Maintenance" Plans Between 8/30/'21 and 8/31/'21

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, August 30, 2021 - 07:58 PM

Hey there, good evening, friends; just a quick heads-up to you all on a few things that I'm dealing with during these two final days before this month comes to a close. And they're all on the backend side of things which should cause no disruption on the front end, but it is indeed necessary to make sure everything is up to date so I can focus on clearing the majority of this backlog during the upcoming "final four months" of this year.

(1) "Home Base Website" Materials Backup
First, during the course of tonight or during the course of tomorrow, I'll be seeing about logging into this site's related hosting account to do the periodic backup procedures on it to ensure that we've got that end especially up to date. Although I"m grateful that this site itself has held up for the majority of this year, we never know when "unforunate circumstances" regarding this hosting account will occur, so it's definitely best to be very safe than sorry here.

(2) "SoundCloud Portal" Maintenance
More specifically on this news, and this is especially for those of you who follow us on our related account at SoundCloud: during tonight and/or during the course of tomorrow, I'll be carefully rechecking what we've got on our account there to see which songs might have to be taken off to free up available timespace (since we're still under a "free account" status there); at last check, the timespace status currently stands at 167 minutes used / 180 minutes available, which means that said account is about to get full unless I do this possible action. Plus, it looks like I might be adding new "personal favorites" to that account as the months forge ahead and I clear this backlog, so it's best to get this SoundCloud account in check before those new "candidates" are found for addition.

That all that I have to see about announcing to give you all a fair warning about what's about to be dealt with on the backend; as always, if you have any further questions about what was just shared in this posting in question, please don't hesitate to contact me with your inquiry. I'm gone for now.

"WarioWare: Get It Together!": "Song Candidate Suggestions" Reminder

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, August 26, 2021 - 09:07 AM

Okay, awesome people, as you may already know in regards to the upcoming WarioWare game installment for the Nintendo Switch console (titled WarioWare: Get It Together!), Nintendo recently posted a demo for checking out via their eShop to get everyone ready for this game's official release day on 9/10/'21. Additionally, just a few days ago, they also posted a new "gameplay details" video demonstrating what we can expect upon purchasing the game itself, and it can be seen here via their respective YouTube channel.

But to the point of this post: this is just a quick reminder that although the aformentioned demo has been in action in regards to this upcoming installment, I still would advise and kindly remind you all to please hold of sending me any possible "song candidate suggestions" to me until on or after the game's release date of 9/10/'21. That said, I can confirm that yes, some songs that I've heard are on my radar to prepare for doing the Super Nintendo music style arrangement cover process on, and I look forward to getting on them when the time does come and my planbook's song target decreases.

Once again, I thank you all in advance for your patience and understanding on this matter; I'm sure that when I do get to sharing these upcoming SNES music style covers with you targeting songs from this said game in question, you'll not be disappointed. I'll see you all later.

Happy 30th Anniversary to the Super Nintendo Game Console!

I've just received word from my sources via this recent Twitter posting from Nintendo of America that the beloved Super Nintendo Entertainment System console itself is celebrating its 30th anniversary today in the United States. Make no mistake, this is one of those crucial systems that amassed quite a following during its time on store shelves and prompted the Nintendo game developers (as well as a bunch of third-party licensee companies) to create a lot of memorable software for it. Yours truly is one of the grateful persons to witness this special milestone shoutout.

Let's not forget that this same Super Nintendo Entertainment System console itself is the one responsible for the "insider community" itself doing "research" on the backend workings of it too... and in turn, especially for the videogame music community which I'm also a part of, gave us the tools needed to still do Super Nintendo music style stuff to this day like what you're checking out here now. And of course, I'm not through with that scene yet on the SNES music style arrangement front for these operations; at this time, I am still checking my planbook for what will be shared next, especially as we're about to enter the "final four months" in a little over one week from now.

So, once again, a very happy 30th anniversary to the SNES console itself and here's hoping for more milestones shoutouts like this for the system. I'm out for now, everyone.
