"Music File Statistics" Rankings Document Update (5/8/'21)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, May 8, 2021 - 07:49 AM

Happy Saturday to everyone here; just doing this quick "to do" before switching gears into the "weekend mode" full force.

As the blog entry title states, the "Music File Statistics" Rankings Document just got updated to reflect all of the recent Super Nintendo music style arrangement postings that I have added for these operations from late last month. Although there are no big things to really take note of on this recent change to the document, there were some "shakeups" on both the "Featured Mario Installments" and "Featured SNES Music Instrument Sets" sides of said document, as was expected (which once again, you can see which ones got targeted for making a few "jumps" in the rankings themselves by going to this page).

That's all for now; take care until I see you all again on the next blog entry posting on this site when that moment comes. I'm gone.

May 2021 Greetings: Preparing for the "Summer Months" Again

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 - 07:50 AM

Greetings to all of you faithful friends and followers of these beloved music operations; we are all just starting the brand new month of May and as the blog entry title has just stated, the countdown has already been on progress as we slowly close in on the "summer months period"... especially for the fact that if you haven't heard already, during the course of late next month, the all important E3 2021 event is planned to make its return (but in a virtual formal due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis) and Nintendo of America is planned to be one of the exhibitors as well. Additionally, on my personal end, I've received word that my town's local comic convention that's usually supposed to have been in action a few months ago in late February (but delayed because of the pandemic) has now been rescheduled for later this month; I'm currently checking my options to see if I'm able to attend it this year. Keeping fingers crossed, but it's great news to see that we're all starting to slowly come back to a "somewhat normal groove" on all angles.

For the music operations end here: I'm still slowly recovering from all the updates that have been posted from late last month (which include my finally posting the formal "11th anniversary statement" for these operations,  as well as posting new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers targeting songs for Paper Mario: The Origami KingMario Kart Tour, and Mario Kart 8). Additionally, as I'm writing this, I'm rechecking the recently posted music arrangements that have been shared with you so far because some have reached my "personal favorites list" to add for our music operation's SoundCloud profile account. To those of you who are following us from the SoundCloud end there, be on the lookout for new postings between now and the end of this week.

Finally, I am already aware that our "Music File Statistics" Rankings Document hasn't been updated to reflect the recent music file additions that were added late last month; I'm also hoping to get this taken care of before this week itself is out. I'll keep you all posted, but I have a feeling there may be some "shakeups" in said rankings on the document when this is dealt with. Stay tuned.

Until then, I have to step out and deal with some other errands outside of these operations; remember, if you have any further questions about this blog entry or anything else in relation to these music operations as a whole, please do not hesitate to send me an email inquiry and I'll see if I can assist you with said matters being brought to my attention. Thanks in advance, all; I'm gone.

"Mario Kart 8": Two New Music Arrangement Covers of "N64 Course Songs" (With Some "Mario Girls" Help!)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, April 30, 2021 - 07:47 PM

We're into our final music arrangement posting for this month of April, everyone, and it's closing in a very special way. Apparently, it seems that our famed and enthusiastic Mario girls got word that I've been dealing with doing Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers of certain "Nintendo 64" courses that were featured in the Mario Kart 8 installment, and one of those covers was targeting the song for their "home turf"... Royal Raceway!

The main four Mario girls of "Mario Kart 8" (Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Rosalina and Toadette) posing near the starting/finish line of the "N64 Royal Raceway" course; don't worry, it's just their preparing to greet their spectators and supporters, getting them excited before the main racing events!

When they got word of this happening, they just had to snag the time to do a few "photoshoots" for their supporters (including us) to help announce that my latest cover targeting the "N64 Royal Raceway" song from Mario Kart 8 is now posted and ready for you all to check out; you're able to access said file in question by going here.

There was another cover that I did for a song which targeted another N64 course featured in the same game prior to my doing the one for "Royal Raceway", and that is the Toad's Turpike course which can be checked out at this link. This was a very simple, yet addictive song to do a Super Nintendo music style arrangement cover for; both this cover for the "N64 Toad's Turnpike" song and the "N64 Royal Raceway" song use the instrument set from the game "Captain America and the Avengers" (as developed and published by Data East/Mindscape/Realtime Associates and composed by Tatsuya Kiuchi/Tomoyoshi Sato, arranged by Eric Swanson).

And that's it for the additions today, everyone, especially as we finish out this month of April as what was stated earlier. By the way, back to the Mario girls in helping out with this announcement via the "photoshoot images" from their "N64 Royal Raceway" course to correspond with it - the above picture obviously wasn't the only one they did; of course, it only featured Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, and Toadette since they were the only ones "in action" for the Mario Kart 8 installment itself. But a few more involved one more girl in the mix, and you can check them out by going to this page (proper acknowledgements/courtesies for said images in question will be listed there as well). Enjoy them all, have a great weekend, and I'll see you again as we officially begin the new month of May. I'm gone for now.

"Mario Kart Tour": Three New Music Arrangement Covers Targeting the Themes of... Berlin, Sydney, and... a Ninja Course...?!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, April 29, 2021 - 06:58 PM

My gosh, everyone... who at the Nintendo company as a whole has been composing these insanely addictive tunes for the Mario Kart Tour mobile game installment as of late? Whoever it is (and we're still looking for confirmation of said composers(s) so I can update this page accordingly), they've got me hard at work as heck doing Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers for a majority of them, and these three new additions tonight are no exception. Here's what you're able to check out from yours truly at this time:

The first Super Nintendo music style arrangement cover targets the song heard in Berlin Byways, the signature course for the "Berlin Tour" (which was in action earlier this year between January 13, 2021 - January 26, 2021). You're able to listen to my cover of this song in question by clicking this link.

Fast forward to four months after the "Berlin Tour" came to a close, and another song caught my attention immediately to do the Super Nintendo music arrangement cover process on: Ninja Hideaway (the signature course for the related "Ninja Tour" that was active earlier this month from April 7, 2021 - April 20, 2021). Although it kind of pales in comparsion to the original song itself from the game, I still have no regrets in doing this cover for it, and you'll be able to find out why I was on "the process" for this song immediately by checking the file itself out here.

And as soon as that "Ninja Tour" came to a close, here comes yet another addictive song to do a cover on in the Super Nintendo music style: Sydney Sprint (the featured course of the "Sydney Tour" that is currently in action until May 4, 2021). You'll see why I was definitely for doing the "arrangement process" for this one as well by giving it a listen at this link.

All three above mentioned arrangement covers that I've posted here tonight are using the instrument set from the SNES game "Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge" (created by Geoff and Tim Follin for the music score's composition there). God only knows if I'll be having to use this instrument again for yet another addictive Mario Kart Tour song in the weeks and months to come. We'll just have to wait and see.

Until then, as always, if you have any problems in accessing the above linked files in question, please don't hesitate to let me know via email about your case and I'll investigate the matter as soon as I get the chance to do so. Thanks, all, and I'll see you next time around. I'm out for now.

P.S.: A quick note that the above images related to this article posting tonight are courtesy of the official "Mario Kart Tour" Twitter account (managed by Nintendo of America).
