April 2020 Greetings: Slowed Down Because of "Coronavirus", But Not Out

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, April 3, 2020 - 11:44 PM

Keeping this monthly greetings very short to let all you faithful friends/followers of these beloved music operations know that I'm still alive; however, as you all are already aware, the "coronavirus pandemic crisis" has been plauging all angles of our lives as we speak, and yours truly hasn't been immune to this either. More specifically, on the backend, it's been slowing my music arrangement procedure progress to a near standstill, and even as I write this, I'm still trying to find time in my personal schedule to get back at it so I can clear an ever increasing backlog (as shown on this page, which now include two upcoming game pages once their first batches of music arrangement files get posted here).

Long story short, the "coronavirus pandemic" has been taking a toll on my daily routines (which is understandable because this is the higher prority right now, and we all must do our part to make sure we get through this and help the medical community quash this threat completely over time). But I still have the determination to keep going with these beloved operations; I refuse to let this said "coronavirus" define any of it. That said, as I have stated in this said entry from last month, it may be a few months before any new music arrangement file postings get announced. I am hoping that we'll hear some good news from the medical community (as well as state/local authorities) in regards to any possible breakthroughs they may find to not only slow the spread of this "coronavirus", but quell it completely.

In the meantime, I am still continuing to monitor all aspects of these operations on the backend and answer any legitimate correspondence that may be received; once again, this all will be done during the Monday - Friday timeframe (except for major holidays). This includes the processing of follower requests for our Twitter profile and invite link requests for our server on the Discord. As long as your details show that you definitely meet our criteria on this page, you should be able to get clearance for the most part when I get to your aforementioned requests.

Long story short, we may have been literally slowed down to a crawl thanks to this horrible "coronavirus pandemic mess", but we're obviously not out. As others may have said, let's stay strong, and stay safe. We'll get through this together. Definitely make sure to heed every single piece of advice from the medical community professionals as well as state/local authorities so we can ensure this pandemic gets quashed, just in time for the upcoming summer months which are not too far off from today. See you all later.

Friendly "Interactive Community Portal"/Email Correspondence Reminders In The Midst Of This "Coronavirus Threat"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, March 19, 2020 - 08:44 PM

This blog entry in question is considered to be an "addnedum" towards the post I made the other day describing my "plan of attack" while trying my absolute best to manage this "coronavirus roadblock" that has been plaguing our daily routines as we speak. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't immune to what has been going around in the news as of late regarding the matter; far from it. Thank heavens that I'm still hanging in there on the physical front, but all this news and our having to "proceed with extreme caution" so we don't catch that disease itself is taking a literal toll on my mental groove too. But with God as my witness, I've been fighting this enemy hard; that said, it's been slowing my music operation's progress plans to a very slow crawl. Note that this does not mean that I'm closing up shop on this thing; the formal "10th anniversary statement" will still be worked on and I also hope to find chances to work on my music arrangement target backlog itself on the backend while still keeping on top of any new developments regarding if any possible breakthroughs have been met to get this "coronavirus threat" quelled completely. Once again, this is a very trying time for all of us, and I hope that all of you faithful friends/viewers/listeners of these music operations are staying safe and heeding the advice of medical experts to help quash this horrifying pandemic amongst us right now.

That said, and the main reason for this post in question: this also does not mean that I'm not checking and/or responding to any email inquiries that we may receive in relation to these operations; far from it. I'm still checking it when I get the chance every weekday and strive to answer any legitimate inquiry in a timely fashion during the Monday - Friday timeframe (as per this posted announcement). Second, another reminder that our "social media portals" could still use some new followers supporters including our IRC channel on EsperNet, our Twitter Portal area (after submitting a follower request and getting manually approved), as well as our server on the Discord (after filling out this "invite link request" form and getting manually approved there to access the place). Oh, and don't forget to follow us at our SoundCloud Portal area as well.

Once again regarding our Twitter and Discord portals of these music operations: the "approval process" to access those two areas entirely still stands and any new follow/join requests that are received will be reviewed between Monday - Friday (minus any "major holidays" that fall within the said week). With all this said, we need to come together more than ever in these very tough times; I still believe that there are many folks out there who would definitely be interested in what these music operations managed by yours truly has to offer if you are a dedicated fan of Nintendo's Super Mario series and are also into my doing Super Nintendo music stlye covers of modern musical scores of certain game installments. We hope to see you very soon at all our existing social media portals; to those who are already a part of our Twitter following/SoundCloud following/Discord server following, if you know of any others who may meet this said criteria listed, please don't hesitate to bring them here as well as have them join our respective follower bases (and yes, I'm still hoping to snag time to finally get the site forums back online when I get the chance to do so). Thanks in advance for your help, everyone; and all of you stay safe out there. I'm out.

Roadmap for the Next Two Weeks Due To The "COVID-19 Pandemic Threat"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, March 14, 2020 - 09:48 PM

As you all are undoubtedly aware, we are currently in the midst of a "pandemic threat" under the name of COVID-19 (also known as the "Coronavirus"). This has been literally impacting the way that we all have been going throughout our daily routines, including having to "use extreme caution" to keep ourselves in good health and avoid any scenarios that would cause us to get sick with the said virus as well. Yours truly has been going through this same kind of routine as well since earlier today outside of these operations (after posting this update earlier today), and if my assumptions are not wrong, we might have to deal with this aforementioned threat for at least two weeks. I would advise all you faithful followers/listeners of these beloved music operations to stay on top of any new developments by checking out this page from the NBC News website, along with following all recommendations from health experts (including washing/sanitizing of hands, cleaning frequently used surfaces in a timely manner, staying home if you're undoubtedly sick, and so forth). We'll get through this together, of course, but we need to make sure that we don't fall victim to this threat as well. Let's all stay safe in these trying times.

With that said, and switching gears to what's being planned for the coming weeks as yours truly is trying to get through this "coronavirus threat" as well: I'm still hoping to deal with that long overdue "formal anniversary statement" that I've been telling you all about for a couple of weeks now. I do have an idea about what needs to be discussed, but I need to have a very clear mind before I approach writing it at all. I appreciate your patience in that regard. Along with that, I'm hoping that I can recheck my music arrangement target planbook in hopes I can make more process in clearing out my backlog as you can see on this page. However, be forewarned that there might not be any new music arrangement postings from yours truly until after the "two week period" has passed or the "coronavirus pandemic threat" has confirmed to have quelled completely, whichever comes first. As mentioned earlier, this pandemic has turned everyone's way of life upside down as of late, and that includes yours truly.

That's all that I have to share with you all on this Saturday night; I'll definitely keep you all posted if any new developments occur regarding our music operations activity as we get through this "coronavirus" roadblock together. Once again, all of you stay safe, and I'll see you all again next time around. I'm out.

"Mario Kart Arcade GP DX": Two New Arrangements In Honor Of "Mario Day"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, March 14, 2020 - 09:47 AM

A few days late after the Super Mario videogame series supporter community (including us) were honoring the actual "Mario Day" (or "Mar10 Day") a few days ago, but thank heavens that I was able to target two new candidates from the Mario Kart Arcade GP DX installment to do Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers on during that time. And now, just in time before the new week itself arrives, they have now been posted for you all to check out here.

The new music arrangement additions in question are the following:

* Tropical Coast (using the SNES music instrument set from Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge)
* Fusion Kart (using the SNES music instrument set from The Adventures of Batman & Robin, developed/published by Konami)

Additionally, the "Music Arrangement File Statistics" document has been updated as a result. And it looks like so far this year, certain Mario Kart installments have been working their way up; in this case, the Mario Kart Arcade GP DX installment made a slight jump to the 16th spot with a total of 8 files available (previously, it was tied for the 18th spot with Mario Tennis Aces). As for the featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets involved after this posting, Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge still continues its domination at #1; however, thanks to the addition of my cover of the "Fusion Kart" music using the instrument set done for Konami's The Adventures of Batman & Robin, that game in question also took a short leap from a tie in the 13th rank (previously with Konami's Animaniacs SNES game) to a tie in the 11th rank (now with Konami's Tiny Toon Adventures: Wacky Sports Challenge). And rumor has it that this same set may be on standby for another upcoming SNES music style arrangement down the road; but it's obviously not going to involve targeting another song from Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, however. You'll have to wait and see what song in question it could be when the time comes later on down the road.

That's all that I have to share with you all for now regarding these latest music arrangement additions for these operations; as always, if you have any issues with the aforementioned music files above, please do not hesitate to send me an email with your concerns. Thanks in advance, all, and take care for now.
