Happy "Mario Day" (New Arrangements In The Works At This Time)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 - 09:58 AM

Good morning, awesome people and happy "Mario Day" to all of you (or as Nintendo likes to call it... "MAR10 Day").

So here's what's up: the "real life situations" have still been trying to give me heck, but as you can tell, I'm still here fighting against all odds. And at this time, I'm currently at work on covering two songs from the Mario Kart Arcade GP DX installment which I will hope to share with you all later on this week or during the course of next week itself. And of course, once I get them posted, they will obviously be in honor of this special day itself; you won't want to miss it!

In the meantine, if you haven't had the chance to check out all the Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I have done so far that covered the Mario Kart Arcade GP DX score itself, please make sure to check out this page. Take care for now, and I'll see you folks again next time. I'm out.

"Music File Statistics" Document Update As Of 3/8/2020

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, March 8, 2020 - 09:26 PM

Many apologies regarding the above mentioned case in this blog entry's title; I have just snagged the chance during the course of this evening to get our "Music File Statistics" document updated to reflect this music arrangement file addition that I posted back in 2/17/2020 which covered the super addictive course music of "Vancouver Velocity" (for Mario Kart Tour).

This update itself doesn't deserve a "detailed entry" about it, but I do want to share that because of the addition made which was filed under the Mario Kart Tour installment, it's making it's way up the ranking on the "Featured Mario Game Installments" list (currently being tied with the Mario Golf: World Tour installment at this time). Only time will tell if this same Mario Kart Tour installment will work its way further up that rankings list category as new Super Nintendo music style arrangements get done covering stuff from that game.

That's all for now, everyone; as always, keep it lock on this page for any new happenings as they occur for these beloved operations. I'm out for now.

March 2020 Greetings: Still Pressing Forward Despite "Real Life Attacks" / A Few Quick Reminders

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 - 12:31 AM

Greetings, friends; apologies in the delay of doing the formal "monthly greetings entry" for this new month of March; a bunch of "real life matters" have been hitting me all over the place as of late outside of these operations, and I just only snagged the chance to get this out of the way. But I have to keep this brief because once I get this entry itself posted, I need to rest up for a very important appointment that I have to deal with during the course of Wednesday morning itself (details undisclosed, of course).

That being said, just a few quick music operations related things to share. First, I still haven't forgotten about doing the "formal statement" in relation to this music operation's 10th anniversary. I just need to get other matters outside of these operations as a whole out of the way before dealing with the writing process itself; I'll obviously keep you posted on the progress as it comes along. Second, I'm still hoping that we can at last get the "Forum Portal" back in action during the course of this month (it's still in the final stages preparation wise; but as I said earlier, too many "real life cases" have been getting in the way). I am determined to make progress on that angle for sure; thanks in advance for your patience and understanding regarding this part of the case. And finally, I especially cannot wait to get back to clearing my music arrangement target backlog; as you can see from the "Music Arrangements Progess Page" here, there are still many things staring me in the face, and I want to make sure that progress is made on them all before the "summer months" especially hit in a few months from now. Keeping fingers crossed!

One more quick reminder: we are still on the search for who may be the composers for the musical score of Mario Kart Tour. As you know, I have been doing Super Nintendo music style arrangements of certain songs from that game since late last year, but had to put a "TBA" because Nintendo hasn't shared any overall "staff credits" in regards to that installment yet. However, recently, news has been shared of some folks that were responsible for the game's development - but nothing in regards to the music side of things. If you all know of any possible leads in regards to who the Mario Kart Tour music composers are by any chance, by all means please do not hesitate to send me an email inquiry letting me know of the matter so I can investigate it further to get confirmation and finally update this page accordingly.

That's all for now as we officially start this new month of March; thanks once again for your patience on all these things stated above, and I'll see you all next time around. Until then, I'm gone.

Happy "Leap Day" / Where Things Stand At This Time / Going To A Local Convention This Weekend

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, February 29, 2020 - 08:27 AM

Hey there, friends; happy Saturday morning to all of you faithful followers/"Super Mario" music arrangement enthusiasts! And more importantly, happy "Leap Day" (which means, yes, we're still in February, but it won't be long until we officially hit the month of March in less than 24 hours from now)! I'm currently in "weekend mode" as I write this, but just giving you all a quick update on three music operations management related things.

First, I still haven't forgotten about my doing our formal statement marking this operation's "10th anniversary" that we gave a quick shoutout on via this post a few weeks back. I won't spoil any details, but will state that although I'm determined to keep this passion of mine alive for the long haul, there are certain angles that definitely need to be addresed and/or implemented, especially on the "interactive community portal" front. Speaking of which, I'm still closing in on making finishing touches to get our "Forum Portal" part of the site back in action again; so many "real life obligations" outside of these operations have been getting in the way again, especially today. I'm keeping fingers crossed that we'll get this knocked off the "maintenance backlog" during the course of March and accept new account registrations when the forums open again; stay tuned for further details.

Second, on the music arrangement efforts front, same case as the first - the "real life matters", plus dealing with other "fan projects" as well. But I'm still determined to press through and knock down the backlog here. This music arrangement file addition that I posted a few weeks back is just the beginning. I'm not kidding; as shown on our "Music Arrangements Progress Page" for this site, as well as what I can see on the backend, we've got a long ways to go which includes my doing new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers targeting a 3DS game installment which doesn't have a page here yet, but will about to get one when the time comes. You'll won't want to miss it when the time comes; thanks in advance for bearing with me regarding this angle.

Finally, it's been a long time coming, but I'll be heading out to my town's local "comic convention" this weekend (specifically on Sunday, because I've had work obligations yesterday and I have to deal with other important business today). I haven't been to this "annual gathering" in my town since two years ago, so this moment has been a long time coming for me. Hopefully I'll run into some Mario related happenings there during my journey there on Sunday, especially in the respective videogame departments.

Until then, all of you have a fantastic weekend in general, and I'll see you folks next week itself as we officially start the month of March. Later, everyone; I'm out.
