Nintendo Phasing Out The "WiiU/3DS eShop Portals" By March 2023

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 - 07:25 PM

Although this isn't music operations news related, this does apply to those of you who have been doing online activity stuff via your respective WiiU and/or Nintendo 3DS console (which our music operations covers in terms of doing Super Nintendo music style arrangements of songs for games targeting these two systems).

It was announced by Nintendo as a whole last night that come during the course of March 2023, the "Nintendo eShop" functionality/navigation for those two systems are being planned to be phased out/discontinued. This is a major clue in concluding that "major online activity" as a whole regarding these two consoles will be phased out as well. So it's highly recommended that if you still are planning to do any purchases within these two aforementioned eShop portals, make sure to take care of it in a timely fashion before the March 2023 deadline.

There are other deadlines that you must know about which are also in relation to other functionalities involving both eShop portals which are being phased out; you're able to read more about that by going to this page on Nintendo of America's support site. Take care for now, everyone.

"Valentine's Day Greetings" for 2022 / What's Being Worked On

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, February 14, 2022 - 05:12 PM

Good afternoon, friends; I'm hoping that you all have been doing all right as we start off this all new work week along with getting through these special "Valentine's Day" happenings today. Yours truly has still been dealing with a lot of things on the backend both within and outside these music operations itself, but wanted to quickly touch bases on three things I'm hoping to take care of before the end of this month.

(1) Upcoming "Music Arrangements Outlook" Outlook Targeting The "Nintendo Direct" Presentation (2/9/'22)
Before I get back to music arrangement action full force on the backend, I'm still trying to snag the chance to get this upcoming "Music Arrangements Outlook" article worked on which targets the recent "Nintendo Direct" presentation that got posted last Wednesday. As you all are aware, there were two Mario game installments that were involved and I'm still in the middle of reviewing materials to declare my "music arrangement outloook verdicts" regarding the matters. I'll obviously make sure to give a heads-up on when the said article goes live, hopefully before the month is over. Stay tuned.

(2) Temporary Form Being Worked On Regarding Upcoming "Anniversary Statement"
As you faithful visitors/followers also know, in just a few days from now, our music operations her will be marking its 12th anniversary. As I elaborated in this post last week, this is still on my to do list because I definitely need everyone's help and support in helping me plan what you think I should see about addressing in the upcoming formal "anniversary statement" as well as how I should approach writing it. If you haven't seen the majority of "formal anniversary statements" that I have written for these music operations as a whole (especially the one which I have posted for last year which is still an important read), then you're able to find them by going here. I'll keep you all posted of course when the newest "anniversary statement document" goes live, as well as when the temporary online form is available on this site prior to it.

(3) Upcoming Super Nintendo Music Style Arrangement Files Before The End Of This Month...?
I originally planned to see about posting some new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers to mark this Valentine's Day, but as stated earlier, so many real life situations (as well as other backend stuff for these music operations) have been getting in the way. But I do have an idea about what I want to target. Details are still under lock and key, but I can give some hints on what's apparently on my radar at this time after I get a much clearer head on how I want to approach the song(s) in question:

* It targets the recent Nintendo Switch installment Mario Party Superstars.
* From that same installment, it targets a certain "theme" based on a "personal favorite character" of mine.
* Rumor has it that according to my planbook, the "theme" in question is going to target two "versions" of it.

I'll leave you all to guess what I could be going after for the music cover process; in the meantine, if you have any other "song candidate suggestions" for me regarding what you think I should consider from Mario Party Superstars (or any other featured modern Mario videogame installment (main, spinoff, and branched)), please don't hesitate to fill out this specified form to let me know of said possible candidate(s).

That's all for now, everyone; thanks once again for your time in reading this post and have a great rest of your Valentine's Day. As always, if you have any further questions regarding what's been announced here, don't hesitate to send me an email inquiry about the situation. See you all later.

Quick and Friendly Reminder About Our "Interactivity/Social Media Portals" for February 2022

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, February 10, 2022 - 11:04 AM

Good morning, friends - just a quick and friendly reminder to all of you that our music operations related "interactive/social media portals" are still in need of new folks that are definitely interested and wanting to keep tabs on what yours truly has been doing to create new Super Nintendo music styled arrangement covers focused on songs from the modern Super Mario videogame series (including main installments, spinoff installments, and even branched installments) - especially as we close in on marking our 12th anniversary next week.

As stated before, the only two angles which definitely require manual approval for new join/follower requests are if you have a Twitter account and want to follow our profile page there and/or if you have a Discord account and want to see about joining our server there (via filling out this form and obtaining a temporary invite link after getting approval). Remember that any new requests that I receive from these two angles will be reviewed during the course of 24 - 48 hours during the Monday - Friday timeframe (excluding major holidays that falls within that work week).

Also, don't forget to follow us on the SoundCloud end if you have an account there too; the supporter count there has steadily been growing which really means a lot to me (thanks to all of you who are keeping tabs with yours truly over there so far). And finally, even though it's techincally the least used - our IRC channel via EsperNet still exists so make sure to check it out as well and grow that follower base there too.

But keep in mind that for all interactive portal/social media portal angles, make sure that you definitely meet the "criteria" for these music operations as a whole which is described on this page. This ensures that we definitely have the right people on board who are supporting our cause.

Finally, as for the "Forum Portal" - I know I have said this many times, but I really, really, really haven't forgotten about it. Too many real life situations as well as this COVID-19 pandemic have been getting in my way in making progress on this front, but that's for a separate post. This is, however, on my to do list after dealing with some other important music operations related stuff, so stay tuned.

Until then, faithful friends/followers, I thank you all in advance for continuing to keep track of all activity of these music operations as a whole; see you all next time around. I'm gone for now.
