"Music Cover Sharing Community Search" Continues / Formal 11th Anniversary Statement Suggestions Reminder

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 - 09:41 PM

Hey there, faithul friends/followers/listeners of these beloved music operations; yours truly is still alive as you can tell by this recent blog entry post tonight. I've just been dealing with a few "depression attacks" and other important real life situations still trying to give me "mental blocks" as of late. But I'm trying to fight them so I can make more progress in attacking my planbook's music arrangement target backlog as the months forge ahead.

This post itself isn't about that, however. There are two things that I need to give you all word about before I call it a day. The first one is in regards to our search for other videogame music cover communities on the Internet to let them know about what we're doing to keep the Super Nintendo music arrangement style alive for modern Super Mario scored (main, spinoff, and branched). I might elaborate more on this in our upcoming "formal 11th anniversary statement" for these music operations as a whole; in the meantime, if you know of any places where I should investigate more into the "promotion" efforts, please don't hesitate to let me know via emailTwitter (if you're a confirmed follower there), IRC channel on EsperNet, or our Discord server (if you're a confirmed member after filling out your temporary invite link application details here).

Which brings me to the second subject of this point: the "formal 11th anniversary statement suggestion" response submssions themselves. Although I may be getting clues on my personal end in terms of what I might have to possibly address in the upcoming statement for these music operations as a whole, I'm still in need of many of you to submit any legitimate suggestions that you may have in regards to what you think I should address in the upcoming statement via and and all interactive means that I just linked to moments ago in the above paragraph. But make sure that this is done before the end of this Friday, March 26; that's when suggestions for the upcoming "formal 11th anniversary statement" will close and no further inquiries about this will be accepted at that point. I'm trying my best to see about snagging time to get this worked on and out the door before March is in the history books (as well the first quarter of the 2021 year), so your assistance on thiis matter especially would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your patience as I'm still trying my best to slowly get back into the music arrangement groove full force (even though I've managed to do postings during the course of last month as well as earlier this month). We're only just getting started for this year itself, but we still have a long ways to go for this 2021 year... which, once again, may be elaborated in the upcoming formal 11th anniversary statement in due time. Stay tuned; I'm gone for now.

Rechecking on Recent Activity at our "SoundCloud Portal" (3/17/'21)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 - 09:52 AM

It's been a while since I shared news about activity regarding our "SoundCloud Portal", but this is just a quick reminder that it's still in action and I'm still posting "personal favorites" from all the Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I have done so far for these operations. You can check out which ones have made the cut by going to this page of our profile; recently, new personal favorites were added to the mix which involve certain postings that I've shared in recent weeks including song covers from WarioWare: Smooth Moves and Paper Mario: The Origami King.

Rumor is that I'm still running into new "personal favorite candidates" to add to our SoundCloud profile there, but at this time, I have to decide very carefully on new postings; As you all also know, the account itself is still a "free account" which only allows us with a total of 180 minutes of timespace (unless I upgrade to a Pro status on it). And currently, under the "free account" status, the available timespace we have stands at 20 minutes. I'm hoping that I can find the financial breakthrough that I need to do the upgrade, but until then, as I just said earlier, I'll be making decisions about new "personal favorites" on our SoundCloud account very, very carefully.

In the meantime, I'm still checking through our "interactive activity" related to our SoundCloud account itself and catching up on correspondence from certain folks. This also includes our hope to get them more involved in joining our other "social media portals" and even checking out and filling out our online suggestion forms to help me plan for the coming months ahead.

Until then, and another quick reminder, if you do have a SoundCloud account but haven't followed us yet to get word about new "personal favorites" being added from these music operations as a whole, you owe it to yourself to head on over to our profile page and click the "Follow" button. We still believe that this is one of those "major angles" that's deemed critical to get the word out about our music operations as a whole here; additionally, if my assumptions are correct in regards to interactive activity I've encountered after posting new "personal favorites" on there, this kind of gives a clue in regards to what the "majority" are expecting musicians like us to do in regards to raising awareness of our existence in the videogame music enthusiast community in general. See you all later.

Deadline Announced for "Formal 11th Anniversary Statement" Suggestions

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, March 12, 2021 - 03:12 PM

Just a quick reminder to everyone that I am still in need of many of you faithful friends/visitors/listeners of these beloved music operations to send me your suggestions in regards to what I have stated in this previous blog entry posting; this is to help finalize my setup plans for the upcoming "formal 11th anniversary statement" which I'm still aiming to get taken care of before this month of March is out (along with the first quarter of 2021).

However, this is also a notification that a deadline has now been announced for you all to submit your suggestion response inquiries for the upcoming formal statement that I'll be working on later this month. On all interactive portals related to these music operations (including main email correspondenceTwitter (if you are a confirmed follower there), Discord (if you have been approved access to the server after filling out this form), and IRC channel on EsperNet), I will need your suggestion responses by no later than the end of March 26, 2021. After that date, I'll be starting said process of getting stuff together to write up that formal statement itself.

Once again, I appreciate everyone's assistance as I get things ready for the upcoming formal "11th anniversary statement" to be dealt with before the end of this month. Looking forward to hearing from every one of you through all available interactive portals; until then, you all have a great weekend and continue to stay safe. I'm out for now.

New Super Nintendo Music Style Arrangements for "Mar10 Day" 2021: "Paper Mario: The Origami King" (6 New Additions)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 - 07:21 PM

Tonight as we give our shoutout for the special "Mar10 Day" shared within the entire Super Mario videogame series supporter community at large, I am pleased to do my part in posting a new set of Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the score of Paper Mario: The Origami King. This time around, three songs were targeted for the arrangement process, and they all were involved certain "Legion of Stationery" boss fight themes; if you've listened to the songs themselves from said game, you can tell the composers went all out on each one. I managed to see about covering three of those "Legion of Stationery" boss fight songs, all using the instrument set that was featured in Capcom's "Disney's Aladdin" game.

Another thing to note: I did two "versions" of each of the three songs; the primary version is obviously the "main theme" itself for said featured songs here in question (which includes that crucial "melody line" itself to still do the original songs themselves justice) while the secondary version is what could have been heard if we were dealing with the "ring setup process" of said boss fights in the SNES music style. The only thing that is obviously the same between both versions of said featured songs are the drumset/percussion portions as well as the "bass foundation" portion. Besides that, you may notice that I might have taken a bit of liberty on the arrangement process itself regarding the "chordal progression" setup and some other aspects of said songs where it was absolutely needed to keep the "drama" of the original tune itself (both "main version" and the "ring setup" version of it).

With that all explained, here are the three "Legion of Stationery" boss fight songs that were covered (as well as the file links to both "main theme" and "ring setup theme" versions of each one for you all to check out):

"Legion of Stationery" Boss Fight: The Elastic Entertainer (Rubber Band) - Main Theme
"Legion of Stationery" Boss Fight: The Elastic Entertainer (Rubber Band) - Ring Setup Theme

"Legion of Stationery" Boss Fight: The Shifty Sticker (Tape) - Main Theme
"Legion of Stationery" Boss Fight: The Shifty Sticker (Tape) - Ring Setup Theme

"Legion of Stationery" Boss Fight: The Fanged Fastener (Stapler) - Main Theme
"Legion of Stationery" Boss Fight: The Fanged Fastener (Stapler) - Ring Setup Theme

One last word: there has been no word on if I have any plans to cover other "Legion of Stationery" boss fight songs from Paper Mario: The Origami King at this time. We'll see how things go after I continue to get other song targets in general overall off my planbook's backlog in the coming months which, of course, isn't limited to said featured game installment mentioned here. Until then, you all know the drill: if there are any issues with your accessing said files link to above, send an email inquiry my direction. Take care, all!
