"Mario Tennis Aces" Game Page Now In Action (With 6 New Arrangement Postings)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 - 09:05 AM

Faithful friends/followers of this music operations, yours truly has been waiting for this day to arrive ever since the respective aforementioned installment was released last year for the Nintendo Switch console. As of the date and time of this blog entry posting, our newest game page for our operations has now been put in action... under the name of Mario Tennis Aces.

Along with this, six new Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I've done covering the Mario Tennis Aces score (which as you know, was composed by Motoi Sakuraba of CAMELOT, by the way) have been posted to start the same page off. But wait, there's more... four of those six new arrangement postings from yours truly involve a new featured instrument set addition as well: Konami's Lethal Enforcers (in which Kenichiro Fukui did the musical score for that game overall when it debuted in arcades, but Harumi Ueko did the instrument set creation for his arrangement for it when they were developing the SNES home console version based off of it). The other two was using the instrument set of Capcom's Mega Man Soccer, which I have used before to cover other songs done by Sakuraba done for previous Mario Tennis installments (like Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and Mario Tennis Open).

As for the new arrangements in question, they are the following:

Arrangements using the Lethal Enforcers instrument set (from Konami):
* Title Screen/Main Menu Theme
* Marina Stadium
* Adventure Mode: Boss Challenges
* Savage Sea

Arrangements using the Mega Man Soccer instrument set (from Capcom):
* Adventure Mode: Main Challenges
* Snowfall Mountain

Once again, this is only to get the page itself started; I haven't made any final decisions yet to target more songs from the Mario Tennis Aces game itself. However, that won't happen until during the course of next year; I want to shift gears and deal with making more progress on covering another "staff credits" song in hopes that I'll share it with all of you before 2019 is out. Stay tuned on that angle, and as always, if you have any issues with accessing the newest music arrangement files above, don't hesitate to send me an email letting me know about the situation. Thanks all, and see you awesome people next time! Until then, I'm out.

New Music Arrangement Files Incoming For Next Week / Reminder About Our "Discord Portal"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, December 7, 2019 - 12:09 PM

Happy Saturday to all of you here; I have two quick things to share here.

First, as you can already tell from previous blog entries, yours truly has been "on fire" posting new Super Nintendo music style arrangement stuff as of late (which includes, but is not limited to my cover of the "London Loop" course music for Mario Kart Tour, which you can read more details about it here). And now, as we speak, I'm currently in the "finalization phases" on a new "starter batch" of arrangement files for an upcoming game page for these operations which I hope to get in action during the course of next week itself. I'm also hoping to get more progress done on a certain "staff credits" song to close out the 2019 year; once again, I hope we can get all of this out the door before the Christmas holidays arrive in a little over two to three weeks from now. Will keep you posted regarding that angle.

Second, this is still a very good time to remind you all that in the meantime, we are still in need of legitimate followers to be a part of our "Discord Portal", especially as we start to slowly close out the 2019 year and prepare for the challenges that 2020 will bring for these music operations as a whole. Remember that if you honestly meet all the criteria that's listed on this page and you have a confirmed Discord account itself, then we want you with us. Just make sure to head to this page and fill in your details; we'll make sure to review your application submission upon receiving it and determine if you qualify to receive a temporary invite link to the server.

That's all for now regarding what's been happening around our music operations here; as always, if you have any additional questions regarding what was stated on this blog entry itself, please do not hesitate to send me an email about it. Thanks all, and I'll see you during the course of next week itself. I'm out.

"Mario Kart Tour": New Music Arrangement Posted - "London Loop" (And A Game Related Side Note)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, December 5, 2019 - 09:13 AM

Brace yourselves, awesome people: yours truly has another Super Nintendo music styled arrangement to share. Recent happenings regarding the Mario Kart Tour mobile app installment itself had me immediately dropping everything to deal with the "tracker process" on said targeted song for it; not to mention that this was done in just under one day... and is also now a newest "personal favorite" of mine on our music operation's related SoundCloud account.

That's right, as you can tell from the corresponding image above (as well as all other images on this blog entry itself), the song targeted was none other than the newest course for Mario Kart Tour: London Loop (the "featured course" for the "London Tour" in effect during December 4, 2019 - December 17, 2019; you can check the announcement video for it here)!

Snapshot of Princess Daisy in her "Holiday Cheer" outfit posing alongside Waluigi (in his "Bus Driver" outfit); both related to the "London Tour" period and the featured "London Loop" course for it in Mario Kart Tour (courtesy of Nintendo of America's YouTube video announcing the London Tour itself)

There were two factors that prompted me to get this done immediately: first, obviously the song itself that's featured for the "London Loop" course and the high energy nature of it as heard in the linked video itself; second, because of my unashamely being a dedicated fan of the Mario females still to this day, our Princess Daisy is one of the featured drivers here too (and in a "Holiday Cheer" outfit variant to boot)! What could be more exciting than that?

But let's keep focus on the song itself that I've recently done the Super Nintendo music styled arrangement for here: you're now able to download the newest addition for our operations by going here. I also have to once again give a shoutout to Geoff Follin and Tim Follin for creating the music instrument set for Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge because this was involved in my cover of this very awesome "London Loop" song. Once you all listen to this thing from yours truly, you'll find out why I love the aforementioned song so much.

That all said, and on a side note: as you all are aware, composers wise for the Mario Kart Tour installment itself, as shown on this page, it's currently under the "TBA status". I have some assumptions based on the composing styles that I've heard so far from this game, but if anyone has any confirmations on who those composers could be, please send me an email with any valid leads so that I can investigate further and make the necessary adjustments accordingly. Thanks in advance for your assistance on all of this, everyone; I'll see you all later.

December 2019 Greetings: The "Final Month Stretch"! (What's Being Planned) / "Music File Statistics" Document Maintenance Update

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, December 1, 2019 - 09:20 AM

All right, awesome people - happy December to all of you, and welcome to the "final month" of the 2019 year! There are two things that I want to share with you all as we prepare for this "final stretch".

First, on the "new music arrangements" end itself: as you can tell from the previous entires before this one, I've been on fire in getting new music arrangement files posted for these operations which have covered certain songs from Mario Kart 8, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart Tour, and Mario Golf: World Tour. The game plan is that hopefully during the course of this month (and especially before the Christmas holiday itself arrives), I can make more headway into finishing up an upcoming "starting set" of Super Nintendo music style covers that target another certain Mario spinoff installment done for the Nintendo Switch console and share them with you when the files get finalized. Not only that, but I do hope to also make headway in covering another "staff credits" song for another certain Mario platformer installment. If you haven't already, I'd advise you all to check this page out that should give you some clues on what games I've been currently targeting for the Super Nintendo music style arrangement process. And as always, make sure to watch this front page for any new developments regarding this case as they occur.

Second, during the course of yesterday, I was doing a bit of "maintenance work" on our "Music File Statistics" Rankings Document to ensure our numbers related to our existing files for these operations are without a doubt up to date. As you all are aware, the recent update we've done on the document was on 11/29/2019 (this was when we had this update posted for these operations). And it looks like if things go to plan, both categories of the aforementioned document might be getting some shakeups before the Christmas holiday itself arrives; we'll just have to wait and see.

But for both angles, I have to say this: I won't be able to see about starting to attack this part of the backlog until during the course of this coming Wednesday; during the course of tomorrow, I have to deal with some important appointments and this Tuesday, I have another "work obligation" outside of here that I won't disclose details on. One thing is for certain: as mentioned earlier in this entry itself (and in this blog entry's title), we are now in the "final stretch" for this year, and I'm determined to finish this for our music operations strong. And I hope you'll join yours truly for the ride on this thing. Until then, have a great rest of your weekend; don't forget to send me an email if you have any further questions/inquiries on any music operations related matters, join our IRC channel (if you have an EsperNet account), follow us on our Twitter account, or fill out this form to join our Discord server (provided you've legitimately met criteria under our "approval/denial process"). See you all later.
