Music Arrangements Outook - Nintendo Direct (2/9/'22): "Mario Strikers: Battle League" / "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass"Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 - 06:36 PM All right, frends - so one week after this recent Nintendo Direct presentation got posted, I've finally snagged the chance to get this latest "Music Arrangements Outlook" article written up to give my verdicts regarding the Mario game installments that were featured in it. So are there going to possibly be any "priority statuses" handed out this time around? Read further for your answers.  First up: I am very sure that many of us were caught by surprise generally speaking when the announcement came down that a new Mario Strikers installment was in the works for the Nintendo Switch console. This time around, it comes under the name of Mario Strikers: Battle League. Here's the thing from the music arrangement cover standpoint: to this day, I haven't done any covers from previous Mario Strikers games as of yet (especially in the case of the Nintendo Wii iteration of it which goes by the name of Mario Strikers Charged). And at this time, there haven't been any songs from the previous installment that have gotten my attention as of yet. But it still remains to seen if the music score for the upcoming Mario Strikers: Battle League installment will turn the time. However, since this game in question is still in early development, I'm still not ready to give a "priority verdict" regarding music arrangement plans yet. But hopefully I'll a much clearer verdict as the months progress and we close in on the game's scheduled release date on 6/10/'22. Until then, I've got this under the "ON STANDBY" status.  The other Mario installment news that was announced in said "Nintendo Direct" presentation was that new "paid downloadable content" is being planned to hit the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe installment soon (labeled the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass"). Here's the situation - as of the date and time of the posting of this article, the first batch of course are set to be posted for activity on 2/18/'22. I'll announce more details in terms of how I'm going to see about approaching this "curveball" in due time but this one thing is for sure: if any songs from the "DLC courses" get my attention, I'll only be focusing on adding stuff from Mario Kart installments are outside of the "modern installment" scope and second, the possible songs from Super Mario Kart songs would sadly not apply. That means the remaining installments that might have possible candidates for music arrangement procedures include: Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and Mario Kart DS. Once again, I'll see about announcing more details on music arrangement plans regarding this angle of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at another time, but until then, I have this verdict of "PREPARE ACCORDINGLY". So as you can tell and to put this long story short, both Mario Strikers: Battle League and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass do not have any actual "priority verdicts" at this time, but both are on my radar. But as I said on the first announcement, we'll especially see if there will be a "priority status change" as we slowly but surely make progress towards the June release date.
