Music Arrangements Outook - Nintendo Direct (9/23/'21): "Mario Party Superstars" / "Mario Golf: Super Rush"

Snagging the chance on a very beautiful Saturday afternoon in my area to get this latest "Music Arrangements Outlook" article written up targeting the recent Nintendo Direct presentation that was posted from Nintendo showcasing the games that are coming our way for the Nintendo Switch console this fall/winter season as well as for the upcoming 2022 year.

During that same presentation, it was revealed that two Mario game insallments were featured... one that's about to hit store shelves in late October, and another one that's been in action since a few months ago. On the music operations angle here, these same games were covered from this previous article (during when Nintendo posted their E3 2021 Direct video presentation) where I gave my first "priority statuses" regarding doing upcoming Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers of certain songs. The question is now if those "priorities" have changed this time around for the two games that were involved in said presentation. It's time to find out... starting now.

First up on the Mario game installment list is Mario Party Superstars which is slated to hit the Nintendo Switch console on 10/29/'21. Thing is that I have some good and bad news regarding "music arrangement outlook" plans. Bad news first to get it out of the way right now: my "priority status" on this upcoming installment has not changed... it is still "LOW PRIORITY". But with that said, from what I've seen here, it's still not to the point where I'm not ignoring this entirely, especially considering for a fact that even though the majority of content is based on previous Mario Party installments all the way back from Nintendo 64 days, now the criteria has been met for me to find a bunch of possible song candidates to possibly do Super Nintendo music style arrangements for in the coming months after release. Will it be enough to literally surpass the music cover content that I've done for this installment in question here? We shall see in due time, and I'll keep you posted on any new developments as they happen from this angle. Stay tuned.

The other featured Mario installment on said video presentation was none other than Mario Golf: Super Rush. And I wasn't lying when I stated on our previous article that my planbook for doing Super Nintendo music style covers of songs from this game was under a "MEDIUM PRIORITY". In fact, I've already begun that process almost a month ago (check this page for evidence). Here's the thing: my planbook's "priority status" regarding upcoming music covers focused on songs from this installment hasn't changed; however, hearing news about new courses getting put into action means my list of possible song candidates has apparently expanded as well as the months forge ahead, and I am definitely looking forward to finding them after I clear out the current backlog that I'm dealing with as we speak. I've already dealt with two song covers from this game so far, but I want to see about adding some more to it before we get to having the upcoming game page available where said song covers I've done targeting Mario Golf: Super Rush will be available for you all to listen to. Like Mario Party Superstars, I'll definitely keep you all posted on any latest happenings regarding any new song covers involving this one too; you won't want to miss this!

So to summarize: for both of the above mentioned installments, their "priority statuses" have not changed since last article (Mario Party Superstars is still in the "LOW PRIORITY" status and Mario Golf: Super Rush is still in the "MEDIUM PRIORITY" status). But the news of new/updated content for both these games still put them under my radar to find possible song candidates for my planbook in the months ahead. You're also able to assist in finding those certain candidates by going to this form (but only in the case of Mario Golf: Super Rush at this time; please don't send me song candidate suggestions in the case of Mario Party Superstars until on or after 10/29/'21; I appreciate your understanding in this regard).
