Two News Briefings: Incoming Nintendo Direct Rescheduled/Music File Update Incoming ShortlyPosted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 - 11:56 AMBeen very busy with other obligations outside of this place, everyone; however, there are two things in which I've just snagged the chance to see about sharing with you all before I prepare to head out on this awesome Wednesday. No Comments | Music Operation Happenings | Print this Post "Super Mario Odyssey": Two SNES Music Style Arrangements of Vocal Songs Are Now Here!Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, September 8, 2018 - 10:51 AM![]() ![]() Brace yourselves, all - it is both vocal songs that have been written for the Super Mario Odyssey game: I have targeted the Metro Kingdom - New Donk City Festival version of "Jump Up, Super Star!"(which as you also already know is the main theme song for Super Mario Odyssey), as well as "Break Free (Lead the Way)" (the song heard during the "escape process" of Honeylune Ridge in the Moon Kingdom) to do the Super Nintendo music style arrangement process on. Now it has been a given that during the Super Nintendo days back in the early 1990s, composers have been doing the "arrangement process" when it comes to theme songs on certain occasions. These two Super Nintendo music style arrangements that have been posted here today are my first attempts at targeting vocal songs in question. The former one is using the SNES music instrument set of Disney's Aladdin (developed/published by Capcom) to definitely match the big band/jazz style of said SMO theme song, while the latter is using the SNES music instrument set of Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge to match the high energy of that song there. ![]() As for the files themselves, you're able to access them below: * "Jump Up, Super Star!" ("Super Mario Odyssey" Theme Song - New Donk City Festival Version) (Disney's Aladdin (SNES Version - Capcom) Arrangement) * "Break Free (Lead the Way)" (Moon Kingdom - Honeylune Ridge: Escape Version) (Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge Arrangement) And of course, even after listening to these two Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I've done here, if you haven't had the chance to hear the two vocal songs themselves (especially "Jump Up, Super Star!"), then what in God's name are you waiting for? I urge you to do so. Now. Additionally, you can view the lyrics to these said two songs themselves here and here. Finally, on a side note - Nintendo, you can't fool us... even though it's a definite that Pauline was the main star who performed the Super Mario Odyssey theme song, I honestly believe that she definitely performed that "Break Free (Lead the Way)" song as well! And I hope I'm not the only one who is making this huge assumption either. With that all said, as always, if you encounter any problems with accessing the two new arrangement files in question, don't hesitate to let me know via email form, IRC channel, the forums, or our Discord. Thanks in advance, everyone, I'm out. No Comments | Music File Additions/Updates | Print this Post "Nintendo Direct" Incoming For 9/6/'18 (UPDATE: Delayed Due to the Recent Japan Earthquake)Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 - 10:17 AM![]() Heads-up, friends: we have just received word that a new Nintendo Direct is incoming during the course of tomorrow, September 6th. The presentation announcing and/or giving updates to specified games will be posted during the course of 6:00 P.M. (EST)/3:00 P.M. (PST). As always, you're able to check out the presentation when it goes live by going here. As for us and these music operations, you all should know the drill right about now if you've been with us for a while: I'll be keeping a close lookout for any Super Mario (and branched) videogame installments that may be featured in this said presentation tomorrow to see if there may be possible Super Nintendo music style arrangement candidates that I might be targeting from what may be shown. If there are any that are planned to be shown (however, I am hoping that the upcoming Super Mario Party installment for the Switch will be featured), I'll make sure to post a "music arrangement outlook" for it on a separate entry. Until then, let's hope for the best that the folks at Nintendo Japan will deliver again and not disappoint us. I'm out for now. UPDATE (9/6/'18, 2:51 A.M. (CST)): The scheduled planned Nintendo Direct presentation has been postponed due to recent major earthquake events that occured in Hokkaido, Japan (see this Twitter posting). They'll let us know of a new date after they get a chance to recover from this situation. We're sending our prayers to the entire Nintendo company at this time. No Comments | Music Operation Happenings | Print this Post September 2018 Greetings: The "Final Four Months" Are Here!Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 - 07:10 PMNo joke about that, everyone; you've heard right... we have now entered into the final four months of the 2018 year, and you can bet that yours truly is more than ready to get through this quarter. We've definitely made some progress during the third quarter ("summer months" period) which had the addition of our newest Discord Portal, as well as getting in some new Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the addictive score of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX (which in case you haven't gotten the news about that, you can read all about it here).
