"Game & Wario": New SNES Music Style Arrangement Added

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, June 8, 2018 - 04:13 PM

Preparations are still in the works to see about preparing to do a site host provider move as noted in the previous entry. However, before doing so (along with my preparations to switch gears into the incoming "weekend mode" in just a few hours and the upcoming "E3 2018 week mode" once that is in the books), I managed to snag the time to see about getting another one of my targets off my planbook's backlog, and it's focused on doing a Super Nintendo music style arrangement of the "staff credits" music that's heard as we're browsing the "Illustrated Schnozzipedia" seen in Game & Wario.

It's been almost two to three years since I've ever touched doing Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the Game & Wario musical score itself (by the way, if you haven't seen the page and checked out what arrangements from yours truly are available, you can view it here). What's amazing is that the majority of the 39 files that were available at that time was using the Super Nintendo music instrument set of Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge; this newest addition uses that same set as well. Additionally, this results in our Game & Wario page to now have a total of 40 files available for you all to check out when you get the chance. Go us!

As for the newest addition itself, you can give it a listen by going right here. As always, if you encounter any problems with loading the file itself, please don't hesitate to let me know as soon as possible via email coorespondence. Take care for now, all!

In Search Of A New Hosting Candidate

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 - 04:04 PM

IMPORTANT NEWS: Due to recent events that have been happening with our site being hosted on this server, I am now at this time currently searching for our next hosting candidate. As soon as I finish writing this post on the main site (along with mirroring this announcement itself at our forums), I will be immediately doing the site backup process (and forum database backup as well) to ensure that when our next site host has been found and our account has been created with them, I'll see about proceeding with transferring the files/forum database to the new host as soon as I can.

The past few days regarding the server reliability has been really, really questionable... even to the point in which it's now gotten down to completely unacceptable. Although we haven't gotten a lot of general emails on the correspondence end, especially since the intended target audience focuses on a certain group of people - we are confident that without a doubt that there is so much that you can take regarding a host's reliability before you draw the line. And today just happens to be that day.

I'll keep you posted on the latest progress during the course of this week; hopefully, we can get this done before the E3 2018 happenings arrive next week. Stay tuned.

Forum Portal Announcement: Registration Reminder

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, June 1, 2018 - 11:48 AM

We've just posted an important announcement regarding new account registraions at our site's forum portal; I've finally snagged the chance to see about making sure to address this because of some events that we've encountered a few months back regarding a certain person who apparently was trying to "circumvent" the security measures that have been put in place to make sure that only legitimate persons are allowed access.

You can read that said announcement itself by going here; this is also a good time to remind you all that if you haven't done so already prior to creating your account at our forums itself, make sure to read our "Forum Portal Rules/Guidelines (Terms and Conditions)" document first before starting to fill out that registration form.

Thanks in advance, all; we really do appreciate your cooperation in relation to this matter. I'm out for now.

June 2018 Greetings/E3 2018 Preparations

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, June 1, 2018 - 10:43 AM

Happy June, friends! We have now just started our final month of the first half of this year; not only that, but we have also reached the critical month for us videogame hobbyists... in just a little under two weeks from now, we'll be in the E3 2018 mode - where in our case we'll be checking out what Nintendo of Japan/Nintendo of America will have to offer in regards to the Super Mario series (both main and branched installments) for the rest of this year. We hear that Mario Tennis Aces is still going to possibly be one of the featured installments there, but there may be some other things that may be in the planbooks from Nintendo themselves, so it's going to be exciting to see what announcements they've got waiting for us during the week of June 12 - 14. I'll get into more details regarding my plans for the E3 2018 week when that period draws near in another post.

In the meantime, for our music operations here itself; at this time, I'm still trying to do some "forum post catch up" and get everything back up to speed over there. Additionally, I'm also hoping to snag the time to see about getting some additional operations related materials together as well because it looks like it may be time for us to prepare yet another "social media portal" to put in place during the course of this month at the earliest or possibly next month (July) at the latest. Details on that are still under lock and key, but as always, when that is in place, you'll find said announcement posted here and on the forums itself.

In the meantime - as always, don't forget to join us at the forums itself (which is still our main method of community interaction), IRC, Twitter, or even our SoundCloud (I still got to do some communication catch up over there too). Take care for now, everyone; I'm out.
