"Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker": Where We Stand Now

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 - 05:41 PM

What are yours truly's plans going forward when the Nintendo Switch/Nintendo 3DS versions of this game come out on July 13, 2018? Read below for the answer.

It's been a while since yours truly has been doing Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the score of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (in case you haven't checked out our game page for it where the available files in question are being housed, you're able to find it here), so here's where things stand as we prepare to forge ahead in the coming months.

As you all are already aware, the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker game itself was originally developed for Nintendo's WiiU console a few years ago. You also may have heard the news that Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS versions of that same game are in the works and both are slated to hit store shelves in July 13, 2018. I still personally suggest that if you haven't checked this same game out yet and have a WiiU console, by all means, do so A.S.A.P! And if you don't have a WiiU console itself, make sure to check out the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS versions in due time come July. More information about the game itself can be found at Nintendo of America's dedicated site for it.

Finally, you may have also have heard that new levels for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS versions of the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker game are in the works as well. As far as how I'm going to approach this when the time comes to do possible Super Nintendo music style arragements from those versions: our page for this game will not be split (as compared to what we did regarding our game page for Mario Kart 8). However, should any criteria be met in terms of any songs that I target that are exclusive to Nintendo Switch/Nintendo 3DS versions of the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker installment, I will make sure to see about noting it accordingly in its very own section of the same page (as in, songs from the original WiiU game will have it's own section on the page while songs from the Nintendo Switch/Nintendo 3DS version will have their own section accordingly).

So that's the plans that we have in place when the time comes for me to do Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker stuff again. As always, if you all have any questions about what I have just addressed here, please don't hesitate to send me an email, or contact me on the forums via private message. Take care, all.

Music Arrangement Anticipation Topics - 5/29/'18

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 - 04:55 PM

One day late after posting said topics themselves during the course of yesterday at my house, but it's better than nothing, right?

But yeah, to the chase: if you faithful visitors/listeners of these operations don't have an account with us at our forum portal area, then you all do not know what in God's name you are missing out on! As I write this, I'm still trying to do some major forum post catch up to get user activity back in full force since action has been little to none in the past few months.

And this should be a good start to get activity back on track for our forums: two new "music arrangement anticipation topics" have been put up on our related board because I do have plans to target more songs from the Super Mario Odyssey and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker installments for Super Nintendo music style arrangement stuff as the months forge ahead. The only question is which songs in question from these two games you all hope I'll get after when the time comes for me to do so. So get on over to these two topics in question on said board and let your voice be heard:

Music Arrangement Anticipation Topic for "Super Mario Odyssey"
Music Arrangement Anticipation Topic for "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker"

Thanks in advance, all, and I'll see you folks over there. I'm out.

Possible Server Move Incoming...?

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, May 26, 2018 - 05:06 PM

Okay, everyone - although I'm currently in the "weekend mode", I've been dealing with finding a new site hosting candidate because recently we've been having a lot of issues regarding how this current host has been handling the management of our home base website as of late. Additionally, I've been having a lot of issues with posting legitimate stuff with our site link on our Twitter page since a few night ago that I have been forced to file a support ticket with Twitter themselves to get to the bottom of this madness. All of this is just plain unacceptable on all angles, especially when I keep getting news from the Twitter system itself that it thinks that the links that we post there to direct people to this page are "unsafe". That's really pushing it for us, and I know that you faithful visitors/listeners deserve way better than this.

Therefore, during the course of next week itself, I am going to see about checking this hosting candidate further and hopefully make a final decision from there. If it does come to the point where we will have to move this site itself to a new server, I'll be sure to let you know before I take action accordingly.

That's all for now regarding this angle of server news itself; I definitely apologize to all of you for all this inconvenience that this may have caused you folks regarding the matter. Once again, I'll keep you all posted. Take care, all.

"Mario Tennis Aces": Our Stance Music Arrangement Wise Here

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, May 25, 2018 - 05:03 PM

The hype's been building for this upcoming Mario Tennis installment for the Nintendo Switch in June; however, are there any music arrangement plans from yours truly here targeting this score? Read on to find out.

Hi there, friends; it's been a little over two weeks since the last post, but "real life situations" have still been giving me heck here, there, and everywhere. I am still dealing with them at this time while I try to get back into my music arrangement groove here in full; however, I've just snagged the chance to make sure to address what's posted in this entry's title.

As you all may be already aware, the release for the upcoming Nintendo Switch game Mario Tennis Aces is only a few weeks away (slated to hit store shelves on June 22, 2018 - which is apparently a week after the E3 2018 event happenings in general, behind held on June 12 - 14). Additionally, an online demo for this game was recently posted on the Nintendo eShop yesterday for everyone to get ready for said online activites ahead that will get in action during the start of next month itself.

To the chase: on the music side of things in relation to this upcoming installment - I can confirm that not only is yours truly having this upcoming game itself on my radar... you can bet that Super Nintendo music style arrangements are going to be in the plans here too! Better believe it, everyone.

But here's the thing: I still haven't gotten the green light yet. First, as per our operation's policy, we still need to get confirmation of the original composer(s) of this Mario Tennis Aces installment (although I have an assumption that by the composition style, there's one "usual suspect" here). Second, I will not be able to see about doing plans for choosing which songs in the Mario Tennis Aces score will get the Super Nintendo music style arrangement treatment until after the game itself has been released in June.

That doesn't mean that I'm not preparing for the "arrangement process" regarding the music of this game when the time comes. Case in point: a few weeks ago, some certain scores from the Mario Tennis Aces game itself have prompted me to get another music instrument set from a certain Super Nintendo game; details about what said game I've targeted is still under "lock and key" at this time - I'll be sharing the details when the "starter files" get posted in due time as the week progress after Mario Tennis Aces' game release.

I hope that clarifies everything regarding music arrangement preparation wise targeting the Mario Tennis Aces score; however, if you still have any additional questions for me regarding what I've posted here today, please don't hesitate to contact me via email form or on the forums. Take care, all; I'm out.
