"Super Mario Odyssey" Game Page Now In Action!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, April 9, 2018 - 03:48 PM

Everyone ready to "do the Odyssey"? Yours truly is sure as heck am on the Super Nintendo music style arrangement front, and we know what song to target to start this party off right!

At long last, friends... after extreme turbulence for these operations since the middle of last year, yours truly is happy to announce that we have finally been able to post our very first Super Nintendo music style arrangement additions for 2018! And it seems that it's off to an energetic start already... seeing that our first two arrangements are targeting the musical score of the highly acclaimed Nintendo Switch game... Super Mario Odyssey!

At this time, I was only able to target this said song to start our all new game page for it at least (which you can find right here) - and that song in question is the daytime theme that's heard when we're helping Mario explore the Metro Kingdom locale (more specifically, New Donk City). The thing is that I of course had to do two versions of this thing: first, when we're doing the "band member search" mission (I tried my best to match the majority of the "searching theme" itself to the best of my ability), and second, the main theme itself (because you still can't leave that out, or I wouldn't have done the full song justice at all!). To match the original styling of both versions, these Super Nintendo music style arrangements use the instrument set of the Disney's Aladdin game as developed and published by Capcom.

As for the files themselves, you can check them out by accessing these links:

* Metro Kingdom - New Donk City (Daytime - Search Theme)
* Metro Kingdom - New Donk City (Daytime - Main Theme)

Rest assured, there's more where that came from as I see about what to focus on next SNES music style arrangement wise involving the music of Super Mario Odyssey. Stay tuned, everyone!

Forum Portal: Registration Reminder

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, April 7, 2018 - 09:40 AM

Before I head out to do my "weekend mode obligations", I still have to let you all know about recent activity regarding the forums area of our site.

So because of certain situations on the backend regarding forum activity itself, I am aware that it has been virtually slim to none (I still blame the fact of the site backend work itself which I'm trying to get done during the course of this month, I assure you). But that doesn't mean that I'm still not checking on happenings itself on the forum backend side of things.

Case in point: we've noticed that a certain user attempted to sign up late last month, only to find that upon further inspection, they were trying to sign up with three accounts under the same IP (with a certain part of their username being a dead giveaway).

This is without a doubt unacceptable as per rule #8 stated on this page; users are only allowed to have only one account, no exceptions. Any other accounts found under this same user will be banned/deleted on sight; please don't attempt to work around this because we will not hesitate to strictly enforce any legitimate action for everyone's saftey, including ours. We appreciate your cooperation on this front.

In the meantime, I'm still to this day for the Phorum support folks to get back with me regarding another forum matter; but it is not as major as what I have stated above, but I really do want to try and get it resolved during the course of this coming week. Until then, take care until next time, and I'll keep you posted as always.

Email Contact Forms Now Available

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, April 7, 2018 - 08:29 AM

Happy Saturday morning, friends; finally got the chance to let you know of this news before I switch gears into "weekend mode" entirely (and for good reason!).

So as of last night/this morning itself, one of our "backend site work" tasks has finally been taken care of. We've been feverishly trying to see about getting actual email contact forms on to our website for months now ever since we've been on this new blog software for the main website itself. The only thing that needs to be addressed is that we had to call on a "third party" to actually process the delivery of any inquiries sent to us via those forms (don't worry, they're still getting sent to the addresses that we are using for these operations); specifically Formspree.

As for the email forms themselves, the process hasn't changed, obviously. There are still two categories available: one to address any issues/suggestions that you all may have regarding the main website itself, while the second one specifically focuses on matters regarding our site forums.

To access the email form targeting main website matters, you can go to this page. For forum operation matters, this is the page to access.

For both forms, please keep in mind that you'll have to pass a reCAPTCHA test through Formspree to ensure that you're not one of those spambots before submitting said inquiries to us. Hope this helps makes things easier for you faithful visitors and we look forward to hearing from you all very soon with your email inquiries. I'm out for now.

April 2018 Greetings - Still Doing Backend Stuff

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, April 2, 2018 - 06:56 PM

Hey there, everyone; still alive! I hope that you all had a great Easter weekend (I did as well, despite a SUPER annoying stomach flu that wrecked my late Saturday night and most of my Sunday after I returned from my church's Sunday morning Easter service).

So here's what has been going on: at this time, I am still doing backend work on the site; the problem is that I've hit a snag that's preventing me from officially implementing it. I contacted related support to assist me in getting to the source of the matter which I can not name at this time; at this time, I am waiting for them to get back to me since it usually takes a few days for them to reply to my inquiry.

On the music arrangement process front, I'm starting to get back into that groove slowly, friends! Details are still under lock and key, but right now I can tell you that I'm trying my best to at least get an upcoming game page started targeting the music for the highly acclaimed Nintendo Switch game Super Mario Odyseey. There is one song that I've been targeting which I believe will start the page itself very well (and here's a hint: I had to do two "versions" of the said song). More details about that at a later date. Additionally, there might be another Super Nintendo music style arrangement targeting another song from another Mario game; what could it be you ask? Sadly, I can't disclose that because it's a secret at well. All I can ask is for you all to keep patient and stay tuned as the weeks forge ahead!

That's it for now, everyone; stay positive and let's have a great month of April. And once again, I too am keeping fingers crossed that we can at least get our first batch of Super Nintendo music style arrangements posted here before this first quarter of the year comes to a close. I'm out for now.
