ATTENTION: "DISCORD PORTAL" SERVER INVITE LINK REQUEST FORM TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Although I have managed to reclaim my respective Discord account itself as of 4/9/2024, we're still doing some backend "recovery efforts" before we start accepting Discord server invite link requests again. More details here; your patience and understanding in advance is greatly appreciated.

"Super Mario 3D World" Page Now Split (As Of 11/19/2021)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, November 22, 2021 - 04:32 PM

A few days late posting a formal announcement about this (because I had important work obligations outside of here that I was dealing with at the time as well), but in case that you haven't noticed on this site from the previous Friday, the page that has been housing the Super Nintendo music style covers that target songs from Super Mario 3D World has now been split

This now means that from here on in, any covers done from the original Super Mario 3D World game itself will still be housed on it's own portion of the split page, and they can be found here. However, if there are any covers that are done covering the Bowser's Fury side of the Nintendo Switch version of said game songs wise, they will be placed on this page; it is currently in "placeholder" status for now, but if all goes smoothly, the first batch of covers that I've done according to this upcoming file queue will get posted within the next few days (and hopefully before the Thanksgiving holiday break which I'll elaborate on in another post soon).

That's all for now regarding this announcement, everyone; stay tuned for when the newest covers go live. Later, everyone!

"Mario Kart 7": New Music Cover Added - "N64 Big Donut"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, November 18, 2021 - 04:53 PM

It's been quite a while since this page housing the Super Nintendo music style covers I did targeting songs from Mario Kart 7 got a much needed update, right? More specifically, the said page felt like it was literally dormant ever since late December of 2017 with many of us wondering when it will ever be touched again with new stuff for you all to check out.

Well, wonder no more, faithful friends/followers of these beloved music operations, because that day is today. Not only that, after almost six months of no new music file postings here, this is only the start of my attempt to finally put a huge dent in this backlog.

As for the new music file itself that I'm sharing with you today, it's targeting the song heard in "N64 Big Donut" course. As the majority of you all should know, the song itself was originally heard in the Mario Kart 64 game, but brought back as a retro battle course in the Mario Kart 7 installment for Nintendo 3DS.

Finally, a side announcement that we're going to be trying something new from this point forward; recently, I've been getting a few complaints from some of you saying that you've been having a hard time trying to find the necessary file links when new postings get added for you all to check out. A necessary table will be attached after the end of each article posting that involves new music file additions in the hopes to address those concerns and make it easier for you all to access the files in question. The name of the song itself will still be hyperlinked, and of course, the Super Nintendo music instrument set that was involved in the cover(s) in question will be listed along them. If you have any further questions or need any clarifications about what's been announced here along with this new update, please don't hesitate to contact me about the matter. Take care for now, all!

Three Mario Series Game Installments Nominated for "The Game Awards" 2021

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 - 07:39 AM

Going slightly off this music operation's focus for a moment because I just received news that needs to be shared for a moment here. A short while ago, the organizers with the annual Game Awards event have unveiled their list of award nominees; three Mario game installments that have seen release this year (two under the "main" category and one under the "branched" category) have made the list. And what's amazing, I'm currently preparing to see about sharing new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers involving songs from those games!

The three games in question have been filed under the "Best Family Game" nomination category, which include the following:

* Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (the Nintendo Switch version of the WiiU game)
* WarioWare: Get It Together!
* Mario Party Superstars

We'd like to extend our congrats to these three installments for getting their respective nomination under the "Best Family Game" category. That all said, there can only be one winner when December 9th arrives (that's the day of the ceremony event itself); here's hoping that one of these three will be in the "winner's circle". But it must be said that the three are in competition with two other nominations that are not Mario series related, shown in the below image.

Until then, and before December 7th arrives, you're able to see about casting your vote for one of these mentioned games in question by going to the "Best Family Game" category page. But be aware that you're going to need to sign up for an account prior to voting itself. After that, we'll find out if one of these three Mario game installments will take home that hardware. Take care, all; I'll see you folks again soon.

A Few Interactivity Portal Reminders Before the Upcoming Music Arrangement File Addition Updates

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 - 08:05 PM

Snagging the chance this Tuesday evening to remind all of you faithful listeners/followers of these entire music operations about making sure that you're a part of our "interactive portal communities" in relation to here if you haven't had a chance to join in already, especially as I'm currently making final preparations to get some new Super Nintendo music style arrangements posted either during the course of tomorrow or this Thursday.

At this time, we're still accepting (and definitely in need of) new folks to join in our interactive portal communities including Twitter, our server on the Discord, our profile at SoundCloud, and our specified IRC channel (via EsperNet). Remember that in the case of the first two, I have to manually approve new join/server invite requests before you're granted full access to posts made in those two areas (done mainly during the course of Monday - Friday, excluding any major holidays that fall during that week).

Also, I'm still very much aware about the "Forum Portal" situation because I'm still trying to snag the opportunity to finally get in gear and have that part of the site operational again at last. It's just that real life stuff outside of these operations has been giving me heck and the "COVID health crisis" situation isn't helping. But that's another post in itself when the time comes for me to write a follow up regarding this matter. Stay tuned.

Until then, let me take the time once again to thank all of you for your heartfelt patience as yours truly has still been fighting to get back in the full groove doing these Super Nintendo music styled covers themselves. As I said before, we haven't had any new music cover update additions ever since early June and even I was wondering when we will ever get them shared before this year is out. Here's hoping that we won't have to wait any longer after this posting itself. See you all later.
