"Mario Kart Tour" - 1st Anniversary Shoutout (And Other Music Operations Related News)Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 - 06:52 AM![]() "First Anniversary" image for Mario Kart Tour (courtesy of Nintendo's Twitter account for the said game) So a little over one year ago (September 25, 2019 to be exact), the first Mario Kart installment for mobile devices got on the scene (under the name of Mario Kart Tour). For these music operations since then, according to this related page, I have done a total of four Super Nintendo music style arrangements covering the musical score of said game. Although this post is to give our shoutouts for Mario Kart Tour making its first anniversary, this is also to announce that if all goes to plan, we might have our newest Super Nintendo music style arrangement targeting another song from this game posted before the new weekend hits (because I may have also found that "alternate breakthrough" needed to start attacking a very huge backlog of files awaiting finalization for posting to share with you all here). You won't want to miss this; I know that for all of us here, it's been a long time coming since mid-March when COVID-19 started to get in everyone's way, including yours truly. Stay tuned, awesome people! I'm out. No Comments | Music Operation Happenings | Print this Post October 2020 Greetings: The "Final Three Months" Are Now Here / Possible New Music Arrangement Files Coming Soon...?Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, October 1, 2020 - 07:39 PMWhat's happening, awesome people? We have now arrived at the "final three months" of an oh-so-challenging year that has tested all of us in many ways imaginable. In regards to these music operations as a whole, although yours truly has been trying hard to keep you all informed and let everyone know that I'm still alive and not giving up on this thing, there has been a very large gap in regards to getting new Super Nintendo music style arrangements posted. If you can recall, the last ones that I did were targeting the musical score of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, which can be seen here; this was posted way back in March a few days before the "coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic" started to wreak havoc on the United States and messing up everyone's routines, including mine. Could there be any possible Super Nintendo music style arrangement candidates on the horizon here as the months forge ahead? And could there be some possible happenings that might rock my planbook on the backend regarding certain featured installments that were shared in the presentation? You can all find out by going to this article which has just been posted tonight. Take care for now, awesome people! I'm out. No Comments | Site News/Update Entries | Print this Post Special Shoutout: Tomoya Tomita and Konami's "Animaniacs"Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, September 28, 2020 - 06:42 PM![]() The SNES boxart of Konami's Animaniacs game (image courtesy of MobyGames) Snagging the chance tonight to do this quick special shoutout posting; the other day as I was checking through the timeline for our music operation's Twitter account, we came across this posting from talented videogame music composer Tomoya Tomita - it came with his showcasing all of the songs that he did for Konami's Animaniacs game for the Super Nintendo system. This is what he wrote in the tweet which he showcases the work that he did for it: "This is the first game I've ever done all the music and sound effects myself. I was staying in Chicago when I did this." I'm very sure that this also included creating the Super Nintendo music instrument set itself done for the Animaniacs game in which thanks to "insiders", I'm able to use to cover certain modern Mario game songs today including, but not limited to stuff from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Mario Sports Mix. And this is the guy to thank for creating that music instrument set in the first place; so we definitely salute you for this special contribution to the videogame music fan community, Tomita. Once again, make sure to check out this Twitter posting from him sharing the overall musical score he composed for Konami's Animaniacs SNES game itself. Also, on a side note, he was also one of the composers/arrangers for another Konami SNES game, Castlevania: Dracula X. And as if that's not enough, he was one of the lead composers for the Nintendo Wii game Wario Land: Shake It! (which I've also done SNES music style arrangements of some of the songs from that game, which you can check out here); make sure to check the musical score itself from there as well in general. Finally, for tonight, the series of Super Nintendo music instrument set polls that I've been doing on Twitter recently will be focusing on the Animaniacs game; if you are a confirmed follower there, please make sure to cast your votes for it when I get the poll posted shortly. And for those who aren't followers of our music operations there yet, don't forget to submit that follower request so you won't miss out on placing your vote on the upcoming aforementioned poll along with other related ones that I'll be doing afterwards. Take care until next time, all! I'm out. No Comments | Music Operation Happenings | Print this Post
