Upcoming Music Arrangements Progress Report as of 6/30/2020

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 - 04:11 PM

Before we officially put this month of June in the history books in just a few hours from now, I wanted to snag this chance to let you know where things stand so far regarding my new music arrangement progress efforts during these "summer months", despite this ongoing "coronavirus pandemic".

Here's what's up: recently, I've been full speed ahead trying to finish up upcoming Super Nintendo music style covers targeting the score of Paper Mario: Color Splash (for the Wii U console), as well as Mario Sports Superstars (for the Nintendo 3DS console). As mentioned on this entry from last week, not only are there new covers coming for these operations as the months forge ahead (along with these two upcoming game pages for this site), but there's going to be at least four or five new "featured instrument sets" that are going to be involved in some of the upcoming songs. The details are still under lock and key; you'll have to still be patient with me. The answers to what could be involved will be revealed in due time in regards to the songs in question as well as the "instrument sets" used.

Additionally, as a "hint": one of the upcoming "instrument sets" to be featured that I've been using in new covers targeting the Mario Sports Superstars score has resulted in my using it for an upcoming cover targeting yet another song from Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Very exciting stuff, no doubt; but as I said previously, the only thing holding me back is my finding a breakthrough to proceed with "phase 2" regarding all the stuff that's waiting to get "finalized" (as seen on this page).

Once again, your patience is greatly appreciated as I continue to try to find space on my schedule to get more music operations related stuff done including what's been shared in this entry. Until then, continue to stay positive and safe, and I'll see you all again when we officially start the month of July tomorrow. I'm out.

"Music Arrangements Progress Page": Slight Tables Update as of 6/28/'20

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, June 28, 2020 - 09:13 AM

Snagged the chance this morning to get the aforementioned task off my "to do list" on the backend: as of the date and time of this posting, our "Music Arrangements Progress Page" has gotten a slight update to the related tables for it. Check out the image below.

The "Music Arrangement Progress Page" statistics table as of 6/28/'20

Now there is a new column/statistic added: Total Upcoming Music Arrangements In Queue. The main table itself shows the "totals" sorted out by targeted featured game installment showing how many upcoming music arrangements that I've been working on from the aforementioned game(s). Then, of course, there's the "Overall Total Upcoming Music Arrangements In Queue", which as it already says, displays the grand total of all upcoming music arrangements being worked on, regardless of what status they are in.

As you can also tell from this same table, the number of upcoming Super Nintendo music style arrangements from yours truly still keeps growing. But that's for another post down the road in terms of sharing where my "arrangement procedures progress" stands (including which I believe you're all still asking when I'll finally be able to share new music stuff with you all again despite this coronavirus pandemic messing all of us up). Stay tuned, all.

Upcoming Music Arrangements Progress Report as of 6/19/2020

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, June 19, 2020 - 08:31 PM

It's been a while since I've written posts like this to share with you faithful friends/followers of these beloved music operations; now due to the "coronavirus pandemic" that we've all been having to deal with as of late, I am very sure that you've all been wondering when yours truly will finally be able to see about getting new Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting certain Super Mario (and branched) videogame music scores out the door for posting here as the months forge ahead.

Here's the situation: as I stated in a previous blog entry a couple of months ago, on the backend side of things, I'm still thankfully able to do "the process" (via the ModPlug Tracker application that I have installed on my desktop computer). It's just trying to find time in my "modified schedule" (as well as a very clear mind and focus) to clear song targets off my ever increasing backlog and put them "on standby" to get finalized. No joke about it - at the date and time of this posting, our "Music Arrangement Progress Page" status numbers keep increasing spanning a total of eight targeting Mario and branched game installments and a total of 27 files in the queue (13 currently in "the process" and 14 waiting to be finalized for posting to share with you all).

Which brings me to the other angle: I'm usually going to another place in my town to use their computers to do the "finalization procedures". However, due to the pandemic, that place is closed with no news on when they will get back in action again for me to do what I call "phase 2" on all these files when they are "on standby" for the finalization. But as you all know, I refuse to give up this fight; I'm currently investigating other possible solutions that could be put into use so that hopefully as these "summer months" pass, we can clear the backlog of files that are waiting to be added to their respective pages under this section.

And finally, without giving too much away, if you haven't noticed from the "Music Arrangement Progress Page" already, there will be two new game pages coming soon: Paper Mario: Color Splash and Mario Sports Superstars. But not only that, be on the lookout for new featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets that will be involved with certain new covers as well. You'll find out in due time what the new featured "Super Nintendo games" will be in relation to their aforementioned instrument sets that were created for them.

Until then, I thank you all in advance for your patience as we continue to forge on ahead through this very difficult time which has resulted in a "summer months" process that has been anything but "normal". I'll keep you posted on any new developments as they happen regarding this case; until then, if you have any further questions for me about what I have shared with you all here tonight, please do not hesitate to send me an email, and or contact me via my Twitter profile page for these music operations (if you are a confirmed follower who's been granted access), Discord (if you have access to our music operation's server, which you can apply for here if you haven't already), or our IRC channel on EsperNet. Have a great weekend, everyone, and I'll see you all again during the course of next week. I'm gone for now.

"Mario Kart Tour": New Twitter Poll Needing Your Votes Regarding An Upcoming Arrangement of "N64 Royal Raceway"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 - 07:03 PM

Here's the situation, friends: earlier today for the Mario Kart Tour mobile app installment, the newest "tour period" just got underway during the course of June 17, 2020 - June 30, 2020 - focused on our lead Mario female, Princess Peach herself. And they call it: the Peach Tour. The related announcement video showcasing what to expect can be checked out here.

But getting to the main point of this post: I am currently thinking of a Super Nintendo music style arrangement of the "featured course" of this tour (which is N64 Royal Raceway; the course presentation itself is based off the Mario Kart 8 iteration of this "retro course"). However, this is where you all come into play, and this is if you have a Twitter account and are a confirmed follower of us at this profile: I have recently posted this poll to get input from you all regarding how I should approach doing my "arrangement process" of the featured music for that course... should I target the Mario Kart 8 iteration of the course music, stick with trying to cover the music from the phone app iteration... or possibly do both? I kind of have an idea, but before I make any final decisions on this case, I want to know where all of you stand here. Any legitimate votes/responses regarding this poll itself would be greatly appreciated. But take note that this poll itself on Twitter will close in one week from today, so make sure you've placed in your votes before then.

Once again, if you have a Twitter account itself but haven't followed us there yet, please do so by going to this page and submitting a follower request. Only approved followers are able to see Twitter postings from me under this said account including what I have announced above; any new follower requests that I receive should be approved within the course of 24 - 48 hours if certain conditions are met after checking out the account(s) that are attempting to follow us. Your understanding is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance to all other existing approved followers for your input on this poll in question. I'm out for now.
