Happy "Leap Day" / Where Things Stand At This Time / Going To A Local Convention This Weekend
Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, February 29, 2020 - 08:27 AM
Hey there, friends; happy Saturday morning to all of you faithful followers/"Super Mario" music arrangement enthusiasts! And more importantly, happy "Leap Day" (which means, yes, we're still in February, but it won't be long until we officially hit the month of March in less than 24 hours from now)! I'm currently in "weekend mode" as I write this, but just giving you all a quick update on three music operations management related things.
First, I still haven't forgotten about my doing our formal statement marking this operation's "10th anniversary" that we gave a quick shoutout on via this post a few weeks back. I won't spoil any details, but will state that although I'm determined to keep this passion of mine alive for the long haul, there are certain angles that definitely need to be addresed and/or implemented, especially on the "interactive community portal" front. Speaking of which, I'm still closing in on making finishing touches to get our "Forum Portal" part of the site back in action again; so many "real life obligations" outside of these operations have been getting in the way again, especially today. I'm keeping fingers crossed that we'll get this knocked off the "maintenance backlog" during the course of March and accept new account registrations when the forums open again; stay tuned for further details.
Second, on the music arrangement efforts front, same case as the first - the "real life matters", plus dealing with other "fan projects" as well. But I'm still determined to press through and knock down the backlog here. This music arrangement file addition that I posted a few weeks back is just the beginning. I'm not kidding; as shown on our "Music Arrangements Progress Page" for this site, as well as what I can see on the backend, we've got a long ways to go which includes my doing new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers targeting a 3DS game installment which doesn't have a page here yet, but will about to get one when the time comes. You'll won't want to miss it when the time comes; thanks in advance for bearing with me regarding this angle.
Finally, it's been a long time coming, but I'll be heading out to my town's local "comic convention" this weekend (specifically on Sunday, because I've had work obligations yesterday and I have to deal with other important business today). I haven't been to this "annual gathering" in my town since two years ago, so this moment has been a long time coming for me. Hopefully I'll run into some Mario related happenings there during my journey there on Sunday, especially in the respective videogame departments.
Until then, all of you have a fantastic weekend in general, and I'll see you folks next week itself as we officially start the month of March. Later, everyone; I'm out.

Correspondence Response Procedure Changes as of 2/24/2020
Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, February 24, 2020 - 04:06 PM
All right, everyone; this is a heads-up to all of you here that as of the date and time of this posting, there's going to be some changes in regards to the processing of correspondence that I may receive in regards to these operations. Please make sure to read this entire posting thoroughly.
First, regarding correspondence that I receive on the email end: although you're able to send your music operations related inquiries to me at any time, I will only be able to process any outstanding valid ones that come into my correspondence during the course of Monday - Friday only. Saturdays and Sundays are usually reserved for my dealing with other "outside obligations" as well as any other site maintenance/updating stuff that's deemed that it must be done during that time. Also, please note that any email correspondence that has been received during a major holiday in the week (like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) will be checked into on the following day.
Second, regarding any correspondence received regarding new "follower requests" for our Twitter Portal as well as requesting an invite link to join our server on the Discord: The same procedure for the general email processing end applies here as well. That means that any requests that you may have filed during the course of Saturdays, Sundays, or major holidays will be handled on the day following them.
Finally, this change itself still has no effect in my periodic checking of our existing interactive community portals related to these operations (including Twitter, Discord, IRC, and SoundCloud). Plus, I'm still fighting to finally finish doing final setup of our soon-to-be-opened-again Forum Portal section of this site (which I do hope we can get that out of the way within the next few days). You won't want to miss this when they go live again; in the meantime, if you haven't done so already, make sure that you still give us follows at the other interactive communities listed above, but please remember these new "correspondence processing changes" going forward.
Thanks in advance for your understanding of the new change itself, and I still look forward to hearing from you regarding any inquiries that you may have as we forge on ahead with this music operation's mission. Take care for now, everyone.

Forum Portal Setup Progress As Of 2/19/'20 - We're Almost There!
Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 - 03:04 PM
Okay, faithful followers/listeners of these music operations, quick update in regards to what our current state is in regards to finally getting the "Forum Portal" section of the site back in action again so that user account signups can commence.
As of the date and time of this posting itself, I'm still trying to snag openings in my very busy schedule outside of these operations (along with my still trying to clear my backlog of new music arrangement targets) to do the finishing touches/phases on the boards for this specified videogame music/Mario series fan community. I'm keeping fingers crossed that we can get this up and running before February is in the history books in a little over one week from now. Once again, I cannot guarantee anything, but I'm cautiously optimistic that we might reach the goal here.
As always, continue to keep checking this home page of the site for any new developments on this situations as they occur. Thanks in advance for your heartfelt patience, and I'll see you all later.

"Mario Kart Tour": New Music Arrangement Added - "Vancouver Velocity"
Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, February 17, 2020 - 11:10 AM
All right, awesome people, here we go - it seems that the Lord himself already decided on what I would be doing as our first music arrangement operations update of 2020! As you can tell by this blog entry's title as well as a corresponding image here, the newest Super Nintendo music style arrangement cover is targeting a VERY insanely addictive song for a new course that was unveiled for the latest "active tour" for the Mario Kart Tour mobile app installment... Vancouver Velocity!

Fun fact: when this official announcement video dropped during the course of last week (February 12th, to be exact), the related song in question for the course had my attention immediately. And you know what that meant: I just had to get a Super Nintendo music style arrangement of this and share it with you all as soon as possible. And thanks to certain "internal sources", I was able to get it done in a matter of 2 - 3 days, but waited until our "anniversary day" to day to share it with you all.
This SNES music style cover of the song in question is using the instrument stylings of Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge (created by Geoff Follin/Tim Follin for their writing the score of that game). And as for the newest arrangement itself that I've just posted for these operations, you can check it out by going here.
As always, if you have any problems with this file itself in question, please don't hesitate to let me know about the situation you're experiencing. Thanks in advance, all; I'm gone for now.
QUICK P.S. AS OF 2/17/'20, 11:19 A.M. (CST): We're still on the search to find out who are the respective composer(s) of the Mario Kart Tour score itself so we can update the respective pages on this site accordingly. If you have any possible leads in regards to who they could be, please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
