Happy 10th Anniversary To Us!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, February 17, 2020 - 09:36 AM

That's right, all you awesome and faithful friends/followers of these beloved music endeavor managed by yours truly - as of today, these music operations as a whole have now officially hit the 10th anniversary mark! And I couldn't be more humble and grateful to the Lord himself for giving me this special music talent which has allowed me to start this thing on a videogame community forum way back when along with going through numerous hurdles (both on the videogame community end and "real life situation" end) to reach this milestone. And to those who think (and possibly hope) that I'll close up shop on this thing after making it to ten years... you all are sorely mistaken. But more on that when I deal with working on our formal "anniversary statement" which will happen during the course of this week or next week.

Until then, as always, I also want to thank all of you out there who still have managed to stick with me through thick and thin on this journey. And I especially want to thank the videogame music community "insiders" who've given me leads since way back when that prompted me to begin doing Super Nintendo music style arrangements of modern Super Mario (and branched) video game series scores in the first place. This is my primary way of sharing my love of Nintendo's leading video game series/franchise, especially on the music end, and I'm not even close to giving up on this thing yet. In fact, apparently, we might have our first update of this new anniversary (and for the 2020 year itself) incoming later on today after this blog posting. Stay tuned!

Two Quick Reminders About Our "SoundCloud Portal"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, February 13, 2020 - 10:51 AM

Okay, all; this separate posting deals with our "SoundCloud Portal" of these operations.

There are two quick reminders that I would like to address this morning - first, remember that the SoundCloud account that we have only posts my "personal favorites" of Super Nintendo music style arrangments that I have done for this endeavor over these past nine to ten years; the only culprit standing in the way is "timespace limitations" because of the said account still being in the "free status". I'm still investigating options in hopes to get the account "upgraded" as the months forge ahead; I just don't know when it will happen. But I will obviously keep you all posted in regards to any new developments from that angle.

Second, although I may have addressed this in our account's profile description there, I've finally snagged the chance to state this said case/"warning" here for the record: if you're following us/writing replies on our music arrangement postings there just to try and "promote" certain services that say that you can help increase our "follower count" for our SoundCloud profile, please stop. Those kind of people are not what we're looking for regarding our "supporter base" there, and any cases of suspicious activity like that will be handled in a timely fashion. We appreciate your understanding of this matter in advance.

That's all from this angle of our music operations; once again, if you are a legitimate SoundCloud user who has an account there and are a fan of us here, please don't hesitate to head on over to this profile page and hit the follow button there. Thanks very much for your support as usual, and I'll see you all later.

Friendly Periodical Reminder of our "Social Media Portals" As We Prepare For Our 10th Anniversary

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, February 13, 2020 - 09:53 AM

First of all, to those of you legitimate followers who are checking us out on all our existing social media portals promoting these music operations as a whole (which include Twitter, IRC, Soundcloud, and even Discord), let me just take this time to thank you for your continued support for these endeavors that I have been maintaining for these past nine to ten years. Sure, there have been some "hurdles" on occasion, but I'm still not giving up in regards to uniting those of us who are dedicated fans of Nintendo's Super Mario (and branched) videogame series along with those who are curious about how the songs for modern installments like Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart Tour, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and many others would sound in the Super Nintendo music style arrangement aspect of things. And I intend to keep doing these unique music arrangmement covers as we officially enter into our 10th anniversary for these operations in just a few days from now.

With that said, if you are a visitor to these operations as a whole but haven't been a part of our social media communities yet, now's the time to join us! Remember, due to security/saftey concerns, you'll need to file your "follower requests" on both the Twitter and Discord portals in order for me to manually approve you and access those areas entirely. So far, on the SoundCloud side, you're still able to follow us there without any problems (since we haven't experienced any real issues there). And speaking of the SoundCloud side itself, there's another announcement that I need to make regarding that area, so watch out for a blog entry posting on it shortly.

Finally, as I stated in a previous entry, I am still currently dealing with making finishing touches on this site's "Forum Portal" so we can finally get that part of the site opened again for our 10th anniversary. This is still intended to be the "main community area", so make sure to see about joining us there too when those boards go live once more.

Once again, thanks again to all our current followers on all angles for your support of these endeavors and if you know of any other Super Nintendo music style enthusiasts who are also Super Mario game series fans that specifically meet this listed criteria, make sure to send them our way. Later, all!

On The Lookout for "Plagiarism Attempts"; How You Can Help Us

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, February 10, 2020 - 05:23 PM

Although these music operations mainly target a specific focus/following on the Internet (more specficially, those who are Super Nintendo music style fans along with those who are dedicated fans of Nintendo's Super Mario videogame series), and chances are slim that we'll run into cases about folks trying to steal our music arrangement content for these operations, the fact still remains that it still could happen; just even one confirmed case of someone plagiarizing our stuff is in our opinion one case too many.

I'm hoping that as the weeks and months forge ahead, we'll get a new form online that'll have you folks report any cases of plagiarism that you run into. Remember, the only exceptions in regards to this said content are my posting "personal favorites" at our SoundCloud page with maybe another place under consideration, but nothing final from that possibility yet.

Until that form gets dealt with and is live on our site, if you run into any case of possible plagiarism of our music files, please do not hesitate to contact me via email giving me details on which sites where you may have found the plagiarized content in question; I'll investigate the matters submitted to confirm the situation and if the reports are true, I'll see what options are available for the proper course of action.

Let's be clear: any type of plagiarism is completely unacceptable, and that includes those who try to take this music work that I've done here in hopes to post it as their own. As stated earlier, I'll keep you all posted on when the new form itself goes like. Thanks in advance for your assistance on keeping these operations "plagiarism free". I'm out for now.
