September 2019 Greetings: The "Final Four Months", Pressing Forward, and Quick Reminders

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, September 1, 2019 - 08:31 PM

All right, faithful followers and listeners, happy September to all of you! Brace yourselves, we are now officially in our "final four months" of the 2019 year itself. As what was posted on previous blog entries from the previous month, yours truly has still been recovering slowly from personal attacks via two "social media portals" (and DMs as well) in relation to these operations and more; additionally, hopefully within the next few days, as elaborated here, I'll see about working on that remaining Super Paper Mario game page to get the external music file links modified (because although it doesn't bear repeating, it still must be said that the current file links on that page are inactive at this time due to Instaudio disabling access to them due to their pending operations shutdown). Once again, this probably won't happen until during the course of this coming Tuesday (September 3, 2019); and this will be after I have dealt with other "outside business" for that day. Until then, if there is any of you who were still looking to obtain the music arrangement files that I posted for that page so far covering the Super Paper Mario score, please do not hesitate to contact me via email, IRC channel, or Discord (if you have filled out this form and got approval to receive an invite link to our server there).

Then after this ordeal is completely out of the way, it's time to put all of this mess behind us (both from the general and "personal" ends) and move on during these "final four months" head on. And yours truly can not wait to get back into the Super Nintendo music style arrangement groove again because I still have an extremely huge backlog staring at me in the face, and it's been annoying me like heck. Not to mention that it's been months since our last batch of music arrangement additions targeting the musical score of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (as announced here). Not only that, but it's been longer than that since we added new featured Super Mario (and branched) videogame installments (as you can already see, the "recent" one was our adding the Luigi's Mansion page way back on 10/31/'18, targeting the 3DS remake of the Gamecube launch installment). But rumor has it that if fate doesn't throw any "adversarial wrenches" from here on out for the rest of this year (and next year as well), this drought may be over: there's at least one Mario game installment that I've been working on new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers for which doesn't have a page done for yet and I'm starting the process on covers for another installment as well. I'll just leave these hints: one is targeting a game done for the Nintendo Switch console, and another one is targeting a game for the Nintendo 3DS console. As we forge on ahead during the course of this month (and the rest of this year), you'll know in due time what those games in question will be. Watch for it.

Until then, and a few quick reminders regarding our two "social media portals" (due to the fact that we had to implement new "security measures" on them):

* Twitter Portal: Our account is still in action here and we're still looking for more legitimate followers who want to be a part of up to date news regarding these operations; but because of our recently having to put it in "protected view" (due to "personal abuse" against yours truly and others under that account) to ensure that no more abuse occurs anymore, you will need to submit a follower request to me from that page (unless you've run into a notice that your account has been blocked from interacting with us any further over there on Twitter). And even after you've submitted that request in question, I have to manually give you clearance when I get notice from the Twitter system itself to see further postings from yours truly from here on out if you meet the criteria regarding folks that we're looking for in regards to your following us. We appreciate your understanding there.

* Discord Portal: Same procedure as the Twitter Portal; the only difference is that as you are already aware, the "public invite link" to our server on the Discord was taken down and disabled; if you are still wanting to see about joining us over there, you will need to submit an invite link request form. Follow the instructions on that page and you should be hearing from us within 24 - 48 hours regarding if your request for access has been approved or denied depending on certain factors we've established for the server community there. Like our "Twitter Portal", the recent events including personal attacks on yours truly and other users on that server have forced us to go this route to ensure additional safety and security for all our legitimate server members there.

For both "social media portals", we've run into the conclusion late last month that both "social media portal environments" in general have been a bit of an "extreme danger zone" as of late because of certain folks who we thought were supporting us were actually spying to literally work against us in the hope of tearing down yours truly and well as these operations (hence why we have these new "security measures" for both "social media portals" in place now). But now in these "final four months" of the 2019 year, it's time for us to put all of this aside and move on from it. As stated earlier in this entry, after I deal with doing the file link modifications for our Super Paper Mario page, I have a very huge music arrangement target backlog to clear according to my planbook on the backend, and I am more than determined to start attacking it head on... so help me God!

I do apologize if this "monthly greetings entry" is a bit longer than the previous ones that I've done on this site, but to make a long story short, "fate" has set our bar for these "final four months" challenges wise, and I'm ready to face them. And I seriously hope you'll join me on this as well as we forge ahead. Until then, I'll see you folks on this coming Tuesday; to those of you viewing us in the United States area, have an awesome Labor Day holiday tomorrow. I'm out.

"Gallery List" Pages File Link Modification Progress As of 8/31/'19 (And Related News)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, August 31, 2019 - 12:27 PM

Okay, everyone, here's what has been going on regarding our file links modification efforts as of the date and time of this posting.

We're getting close to the finish line. These following game pages under the "Gallery List" section of our operations have now been accounted for:

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
New Super Mario Bros. U
Super Mario 3D World
Super Mario Odyssey

That means at this time, we now have 23 of our active 24 "Gallery List" pages out of the way regarding getting the file links modified to point to our external file hosting account with the folks at MEGA (96%). Only one page remains to be dealt with, and that's Super Paper Mario. However, due to my other obligations outside of here, I won't be able to take care of that until this coming Tuesday, 9/3/'19 (as I stated in the entry before this one). Please note that I am very well aware that after the end of today, the external file links for our Super Paper Mario page will cease to function from the frontend since they still point to the "former" account that we had with Instaudio (who once again is shutting down their operations by the end of September). But in the meantime and until Tuesday arrives, if you are still wanting to listen to specified arrangements that I have done so far from that page, please do not hesitate to send me an emailcontact me on IRC at our channel there, or get in touch with me at our Discord server (if you have a Discord account and you have been approved to join us there after submitting an invite link request from here).

Finally on a side note, and I am snagging the chance to mention this: as what was briefly stated earlier in this entry (and as we announced here), we have now established our new external file hosting account with the folks at MEGA. However, there's only one catch: you need to ensure that you are using a browser that's compatible with downloading/listening to files that's hosted on our account there. As stated in this FAQ entry from the MEGA administration, compatible browsers include Google Chrome, Opera, and Mozilla Firefox. I've yet to investigate if you're able to access our files via using Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge; if you've tried that route, please don't hesitate to let me know should you run into any confirmations on that angle.

Once again, I sincerely thank you all for your heartfelt patience as we close in on the finish line of this beyond insane ordeal; we're closing in on getting this matter finally resolved once and for all. Take care until I see you all again on Tuesday when I attack that final "Gallery List" page. I'm out.

"Gallery List" Pages File Link Modifying Process: Where Things Stand (8/30/'19)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, August 30, 2019 - 08:05 PM

Okay, everyone; I just got back home to snag the chance in letting you know where things stand regarding the "file links modifying" process for the "Gallery List" section of these operations as of 8/30/'19, including where do we go from here.

First of all, as what was shared in the previous entry before this one, I have managed to get 17 out of 24 active pages under the aforemention section of our operations accounted for regarding the file links modification process ever since we've established our new external file hosting account with the folks at MEGA. (meaning percentage wise, it stands at 71%). This means that only seven pages remain for me to go through; however, there's no guarantee that I'll deal with them all before the end of tomorrow (which is also the final day of this month of August).

So here's the game plan as it stands now: of course, during the course of Saturday morning, I'm going to attempt to resume the file links modification process for a few more pages; as always, I'll let you know what remaining pages in question have gotten their file links modified. However, I must caution you that for the remaining pages that haven't been dealt with at the end of tomorrow night, any file links that still point to the account that we had with Instaudio will cease to function. I am very well aware of this and I will obviously try my best to see that at the very least, most of the remaining pages will be accounted for by the end of this coming Saturday. Afterwards, any remaining pages that have yet to get their file links modified will be dealt with during the course of this coming Tuesday, 9/3/'19, the start of a brand new month there.

Long story short, and the bottom line: we're almost there; we definitely thank you all for your patience as we finish this ordeal that's been plaguing us for months on end (including my having to deal with "personal matters" that just keep getting in my way, including my new weekly job obligation). Hopefully all this mess will die down as the weeks pass because I am more than ready to get back into my Super Nintendo music style arrangement groove; we haven't had any new additions to this place since our big Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker music arrangement update that was posted on 5/21/'19! And rumor has it that we've got some new soon-to-be-featured Mario installments joining the fray, but more on that another entry.

Until then, as always, if you have any questions that need further clarification, please don't hesitate to send me an email about it. Until then, I'll see you folks later; I'm out.

The "Gallery List" Pages File Link Updating Process Begins Yet Again...

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 - 11:22 PM

And as was discussed since a few days ago after we've announced our having a new external file hosting account with MEGA (which can be read here if you haven't checked out the announcement already), we are now beginning the process of updating the file links for all pages under our "Gallery List" section starting tonight.

So far, I was only able to deal with updating the file links for our Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker game page; I'm hoping that during the course of the next few days, we can see about trying to get most of (if not all) the game pages accounted for before months end (because this is when any files that were hosted by our previous hosting account, Instaudio, will not be accessible from the public end any more).

As always, if you encounter any problems with accessing the files themselves under the new links for the aforementioned page, please make sure to notify me immediately via email so that I can get to the bottom of said case in a timely manner. Take care for now, everyone.

UPDATE #1 (8/29/'19 - 4:30 P.M.; CST): As of the date/time of this blog update entry addendum, the following pages have also been accounted for as well:

* Game & Wario
* Luigi's Mansion
* Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
* Mario Kart 7
* Mario Kart 8 (Wii U Version)
* Mario Kart Arcade GP DX
* Mario Party 10
* Mario Super Sluggers
* Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash
* Mario Tennis Open
* New Super Mario Bros. 2
* Super Mario 3D Land
* WarioWare: D.I.Y.

So that means we have 14 of the currently active 24 pages under our "Gallery List" section dealt with at this time (which is, like, a 58% completion status for this effort). Hopefully, God willing, I'll be able to see on working on a few more during the course of tomorrow, then finishing it up during the course of this coming Saturday morning before this month of August comes to a close entirely. Will keep you posted.

UPDATE #2 (8/30/'19 - 4:58 P.M.; CST): Had to deal with other obligations outside of here, but still snagged the time to get three more pages dealt with regarding the file links updating process; they are the following:

* Mario Kart Wii
* Mario Sports Mix
* Wario Land: Shake It!

I'm hoping to see about writing another related news post regarding this matter at hand before the end of the day today letting you folks know where things stand. Until then, we are now at 17 of the 24 active pages that we have here that have had their file links changed to our new host with more planned to be taken care of during the course of Saturday morning. Once again, more on that later; stay tuned.
