Two Friendly Reminders for 8/10/'19

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, August 10, 2019 - 09:50 PM

Okay, faithful followers and music arrangement enthusiasts, I'm just snagging this chance to share a few reminders about what's been happening for these operations including which angles still needs your responses at this time. Rest assured that I'm still on top of the matters listed below; however, I must let you all know that since a few weeks ago during the course of late last month, I've been involved in this new "weekly job obligation" (details undisclosed) which has had me adjust my overall schedule even further. But thank heavens for it because "real life matters" have been trying to bring me down into "big depression mode" and I've been fighting tooth and nail to put that "enemy" in its place. But enough about yours truly, here are the matters that I need to let you know about at this time:

(1) The Search for a New External File Host Still Continues
At this time, the above case is still in the "high prority" status because as you all are already aware via many angles, our external file hosting account with Instaudio is slated to close late next month. However, I've received additional clues from you all that access from your end to load our music operation's files is slated to be terminated at the end of this month. Regardless, this is still a "code red" situation on all fronts, and I've still been trying to find time to investigate legitimate external file hosting successors so that I can get our file links updated A.S.A.P. once we've made a final decision.

That said, I'm still waiting to hear from you all in regards to any external file hosting candidate suggestions that you may have which has an acceptable quality of service like Instaudio. Once again, if you do have any suggestions themselves that I should look further into regarding new external file hosting candidates, please don't hesitate to send me an email or get in touch with me at our Discord Portal.

(2) Your Votes Still Needed For Our Recent Poll (Featured Super Nintendo Music Instrument Sets/Favorite Music Arrangement Styles)
A few weeks ago, I posted this poll for you folks to cast your votes regarding what Super Nintendo music instrument sets/arrangement styles were your favorites for all the modern Super Mario (and branched) videogame music covers that I've done for these operations to date so far. I'm still waiting to hear from many of you regarding this so that I can know which featured SNES music instrument sets/arrangement styles you are enjoying so far as you're checking out these tunes in question; so by all means, make with the voting here!

That's all the reminders I have to share with all of you here tonight; once again, both angles have gotten in my way (especially the first one listed on this entry) from proceeding to clear an ever increasing backlog of Super Nintendo music style arrangement targets. But I'm determined to get this done so that I can get back into the music groove full force for the rest of this year. I'm sure you all are going to love what I plan to share with you all in the coming months when this "tormenting" ordeal is out of the way and in the history books. Stay tuned, friends, and I honestly thank you for your kind patience during this time. I'm gone for now.

August 2019 Greetings: Dealing With One More "Hurdle"...

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, August 1, 2019 - 09:25 AM

Good morning to all of you faithful friends/listeners, and fellow Super Mario videogame fans... once again, emulating a phrase that I've heard on the morning news itself from the weather reports: "welcome to August!"

And this "monthly greetings" itself to start off the new month came right on time just as we finished dealing with necessary modifications/file links list adjustments for our website's "Gallery List" section. But just when yours truly thought I could breathe a sigh of relief and see about getting back into my Super Nintendo music style arrangement groove to clear a very huge backlog of targets on my planbook, another hurdle was thrown at me regarding the news of Instaudio's planning to close their doors in late September.

At this time, I'm currently on a diligent search to find our next external file hosting candidate that provides the same kind of services that Instaudio did; however, once again, I need to find that candidate before Instaudio's services completely shut down. And you folks are able to help me out on this by sending me your suggestions on possible new external file hosting candidate "successors" by sending me an email or if you have a Discord account, let me know of any possible candidates that I should investigate further on by interacting with us on our server portal.

As always, I'll make sure to keep you folks up to date on any new developments regarding this case as the weeks forge ahead. But rest assured that I am determined to get this done so we can definitely get back into the usual "Super Nintendo music style arrangement groove" for this place; we haven't had any new additions here ever since the latter part of May (when I shared with you my latest batch of SNES music style covers targeting the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker musical score)!

Until then, keep it locked on this front page, as always; all of you have an awesome August, and I'll see you folks later. I'm out.

"Gallery List" File Link/Page Revisions (7/31/'19)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 - 05:15 PM

I've got great news to share with you tonight as we close out this month of July, friends: our final page under our site's "Gallery List" section has gotten its table implemented and the file links modifications dealt with... the Super Paper Mario page!

So now, all of our "Gallery List" pages on our site have now been accounted for as of the date and time of this posting. However, the fight isn't completely over yet; as you may have read from this entry that was posted a few days ago, our current external file host (Instaudio) is planning to shut down in late September, which is leaving me to search for a new candidate to replace it before the Instaudio shutdown takes effect.

Once again, I need everyone to send me your suggestions on any possible external file hosting candidates that I can investigate further into that has the reliable services like Instaudio (SoundCloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox do not count). You can send your responses to me via email form or at our server portal on the Discord (under the respective channel discussing about our music operations in general).

As always, I'll keep you posted on any new developments as they arise; hopefully, we can reach a breakthrough before the end of September. Take care, all!

New Strawpoll Entry: Your Favorite SNES Music Instrument Sets/Arrangement Stylings (7/30/'19)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 - 07:52 PM

As we're closing in on the "final stages" regarding this site's "Gallery List" page modification/file links list updating process, this is also a good time to get another music operations related poll in action (via the Strawpoll website).

This time around, it's to get a concensus from you faithful visitors/listeners of these beloved operations telling me based on all the featured Super Nintendo music instrument set/arrangement stylings used in my covers of modern Super Mario (and branched) videogame music scores (as shown on this list), which featured instrument sets/arrangement stylings are your top favorites so far.

You are able to access the poll and cast your votes on it by going here. And it should go without saying, but on this poll itself, you're able to choose more than one option; however, please make sure that you're honest in the voting itself. We appreciate your response turnout in advance; take care until next time around. I'm out.
