July 4th Happenings / "Discord Portal" Reminder: More Members Needed!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, July 4, 2019 - 08:33 AM

Morning, everyone; just snagging this time to give a shoutout to all of you on this July 4th holiday (to those of us who are celebrating it here in the United States). Definitely make the most of it just like the other major holidays (being Thanksgiving and Christmas, which will be at our doorsteps come the November / December period).

Two things that I need to quickly share before I step out to join the rest of the crew on this holiday break: first, as I discussed on previous entries before this one, our site's "Gallery List" page revisions/file links list update procedures continue in earnest; however, I'm obviously not going to deal with any today (or Friday) because of the July 4th holiday. However, I am making plans in terms of what pages under this section to target next; hopefully, I'll snag time during the course of this coming Saturday morning to make more progress on this angle. As always, when this is done, I'll be letting you folks know the latest batch of pages that have gotten the revisions.

Second, this is a very good time to remind all of you faithful friends/listeners for these music operations that we really, really, really need more people to join our music operations' related Discord server. As of the date and time of this posting, we are currently sitting at 17 members (including myself); but there's always room for more... if you are obviosuly a fan of Nintendo's Super Mario video game series and looking forward to interact with me (and others) about the Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers of certain songs from modern installments for the series being done for these operations, please don't hesitate to join us (just make sure to read the rules on the #server-rules channel first before proceeding further).

On a related note: I still haven't forgotten about the "forum portal" and "IRC portal" areas; I just need to snag the time to check into those places to do apparent "maintenance work" after I finish with the "Gallery List" page revision/file links list update process. We're getting things done slowly, but surely.

Take care for now, everyone; and once again, have a great 4th of July holiday for those of us who are celebrating in the States. See you all later.

"Gallery List" File Link/Page Revisions (7/2/'19)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 - 08:31 PM

This evening, the following pages for our site's "Gallery List" section have been updated, along with the corresponding music file links for them:

* Super Mario Odyssey
* Mario Kart Arcade GP DX
* Mario Super Sluggers
* New Super Mario Bros. 2
* Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash

This now makes a total of of eight pages so far that now have the new table formats implemented for them, along with the respective file links redirected to our new external file hosting account (which is Instaudio, in case you haven't heard or read our previous blog entry post announcing the new account we have over there).

Also, a forewarning that once all respective pages for our "Gallery List" section have been updated (along with getting all file links current to the new account), it is planned for us to close the account that we have with SaberCat Host. That obviously means that any previous blog entry articles from this site which had us link to our music operation's files from that former external file host will become inactive when the files get deleted in due time.

Once again, your patience is greatly appreciated during this transitional period; as always, if you have any difficulties with accessing said files that were revised after the updates to the above pages, please do not hesitate to send me an email immediately stating any issues that you may be experiencing so that I can investigate them in a timely manner. Thanks in advance, all, and I'll keep you folks posted on any more "Gallery List" page changes as I snag more chances to work on them. I'm out.

July 2019 Greetings: Start of the "2nd Half"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, July 1, 2019 - 10:00 PM

Keeping this short and sweet, friends, as I've been dealing with a lot of "outside matters" at this time in the start of the brand new month and the "2nd half" of the 2019 year. Not only that, but as I'm writng this "monthly greetings entry", preparations are being made to target another set of pages under our "Gallery List" section of this site to update the file links on as well as implement new tables onto those pages. In case you may have missed what respective game pages were updated during the course of last weekend, please take a look at this post.

My hopes is that during the next few weeks, we can get all these pages under the "Gallery List" section of our site dealt with so I can return to the "music arrangement groove" and clear an ever increasing backlog that's been plauging my music operation's planbook. As always, I'll keep you posted as we forge on ahead when pages have been updated with the new table layout implementation and external file link changes. Stay tuned, everyone; until then, I'm gone for now.

"Gallery List" File Link/Page Revisions (6/29/'19)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, June 29, 2019 - 01:12 PM

All right, everyone; as was discussed and promised since a few days ago, our page revision efforts for our music operations site's "Gallery List" section has now begun in earnest starting today. I would like for all of you to view the following two images below.

So ever since our "home base website" itself relaunched back in late November 2017 under the blog software system that we're using at this time, you have gotten used to see pages like this under the "Gallery List" section. But as of this posting (and over time as the weeks forge ahead) you'll start to see tables like the below image being implemented onto the page:

The above two images are from our game page housing the Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I have done targeting the score of Luigi's Mansion (which you can find here). Which brings me to this other thing: as you can also already tell, the file links for that page have now changed as well pointing to where our music files themselves will be stored from here on out: we have created an account with the folks at Instaudio, as per your suggestions that I have received since a few weeks ago to answer complaints of your having issues with our previous external file hosting service. I hope that this makes your accessing the Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I have done for these operations so far muchmore easier.

Additionally, these other pages have now been updated along with the respective file links for them:

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
WarioWare: D.I.Y.

Hopefully during the course of next week itself, I'll see about working on a few more; we're just starting this process with the above mentioned/targeted pages in question today.

In the meantime, please continue to submit your votes on this related poll while I snag more chances during the course of next week to continue the "Gallery List" page/file revision process. Thanks to those of you who have voted on the poll so far; it has given me an idea about what page(s) to target next. Stay tuned.

As always, if you have any problems at all with the accessing of the updated file links on the above mentioned pages in this blog post, please do not hesitate to send me an email immediately letting me know of the matter at hand so I can look into it further. Thanks for your heartfelt patience during this time, everyone, and I'll see you all later.
