Music File External Host Moving Process Update (6/24/'19)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, June 24, 2019 - 08:13 AM

Morning, friends; giving you this quick follow-up to share where things stand regarding our music file moving process to our chosen replacement external file hosting service.

During the course of the past weekend, I was very hard at work making progress in the uploading of our files to the new host itself. At the time of this posting, files targeting the majority of the featured Super Mario (and branched) videogame installments have been accounted for; only three remain to be dealt with regarding our Super Nintendo music style arrangement files for them. I'm hoping to get this out of the way during the next few days.

Then after that, we start to do the "page modifications" in our "Gallery List" section. I hope to get this start as soon as possible after the file move itself is done. In the meantime, if you haven't done so already, you're still able to cast your votes in this poll letting me know which featured Super Mario (and branched) video game installments should get the top priority when I start doing the page modifications themselves in due time.

Thanks once again for our patience and understanding, as well as your votes on the related poll in advance. As always, if you have any further questions regarding this case, please don't hesitate to contact me via email about it. Later, all.

Music File Moving Process Now Underway / Friendly "Poll Reminder"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, June 20, 2019 - 04:55 PM

As of the date and time of this posting, everyone, I'm here to give to all a follow-up in saying that I'm currently dealing with the moving of our music operation's "music files" from our SaberCat external file hosting account to the new one that we've created a little over a week ago with a different external hosting account (whose name shall remain undisclosed for the time being until the moving process of all of our music files is complete). Please note that the music files that we have under the SaberCat external file hosting service will still remain active until I start to update our "Gallery List" game pages with the new links; after all respective pages have been updated, I will see about contacting the SaberCat hosting administration to cancel our account there.

In the meantime, a friendly reminder to you all that if you haven't voted on this related poll asking which featured Mario (and branched) videogame installments should receive "top priority" for me to update the respective links on during this file hosting move process, please take care of it as soon as you can. So far, we've gotten five votes in; however, I'm sure we can get more in as the days forge ahead. Thanks to those who have cast their votes in proir to this post, by the way.

Side note in relation to this: obviously, this means that my music arrangement procedures are currently put "on hold" until this file hosting move is completed. There is no current ETA in regards to when this process will be done; however, I'll keep you all posted from time to time keeping you all in the know on how this case has been coming along.

Patience is greatly appreciated during this time; thanks in advance for your understanding, friends. I'm out.

External File Hosting Move Process Beginning This Week / Upcoming "Gallery List" Game Page Modifications (Poll Attached)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, June 16, 2019 - 03:26 PM

All right, faithful friends/followers of these music operations, we're trying something new today.

So here's the case: since a few weeks ago, my music operations related correspondence (and all other "active" community interactivity portals for here) have been hit with a flood of complaints from you all saying that our current external host that's been hosting our music files (which happens to be SaberCat Host, by the way) has been giving you folks a whole mess of problems including loading wait times as well as the download speed itself for the files hosted there. Thanks to a recent lead that I was approached with recently (and upon further investigation on it), we are now in a position to finally do something about it and address this said during the course of the next few weeks.

That's right, you guessed it, and I believe this is what you all wanted me to conclude: do all what's possible to get those files out of the SaberCat external file hosting server A.S.A.P. and put them on a more reliable file hosting that won't have you run into any delays in accessing the targeted files that you're trying to listen to and/or download. Yes, I'm preparing in terms of doing the process starting this coming work week. Not only that, but I'm hoping that during this process, we can see about possible adding tables to the featured game pages (under our "Gallery List" section). So, in short, I'm trying to see about killing two birds with one stone here.

But here's where the "trying something new" really comes in regarding this entry: to help me with my planning stages during the next few weeks, I need everyone's help in voting on a new poll that I via the Strawpoll website letting me know which featured game installments under the "Gallery List" section I should focus on more in regards to the moving of my music files to the newest external file host that we have chosen and just created an account for. The poll itself in question can be found by going right here so you can cast your votes without any delay. (In my opinion, this is way better than the previous polls that we have posted from our Twitter account.)

Once again, make sure to get to this related poll and cast your votes helping me decide which featured Mario and branced videogame installments should get the higher priorities as we prepare to do the file hosting move procedures starting this coming week. We appreciate your assistance in advance; take care, everyone.
