"Forum Portal" Section Currently Closed Due To Server Resolution Matters

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, January 3, 2019 - 03:37 PM

Hi there, everyone; just a heads-up to you all that due to my making preparations to resolve the server hosting matters that have been explained in this posting yesterday, the "Forum Portal" area of this website is currently closed at this time. No ETA has been set on when it will get back in action again after the server hosting situations have been dealt with.

Once again, many apologies for the inconveniences there; in the meantime, if you do need to get in contact with me regarding any inquiries that are in relation to these music operations as a whole, you're able to reach me via email form, IRC (EsperNet), Twitter, or our Discord. We appreciate your understanding.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Planned Hosting Server Move Later This Month

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 - 02:09 PM

Hi there, everyone; first of all, let me definitely apologize for the site itself being down for like the past few days (again), especially as we start a brand new year for these music operations as a whole. And although I am eager to tackle the challenges that will be facing us for 2019, our first "major challenge" (or should I say... "roadblock") has been handed down to us, and it's not the news that any of us wanted to hear on the very first days of this new year.

The situation at hand: I have been informed by the VimlyHost administration that due to unforseen circumstances beyond their control, the services that have been hosting this site for almost one year are currently being planned to be shut down later this month (more specifically, the shutdown date is slated for January 27, 2019).

At this time as I write this entry, I've been starting to do all necessary procedures to make sure the entire site (and forum database) are current and backed up so that when a new web hosting service candidate has been chosen (hopefully before the VimlyHost service shutdown date), the "transfer process" can be deal with barring any problems in the process.

Believe me, friends, this news itself of the VimlyHost service shutdown puts a literal damper in my overall groove as I was just starting to make preparations to plan for what new Super Nintendo music style arrangement candidates featuring modern Super Mario (and branched) will be targeted for this year. But before that can be deal with, I have to focus on resolving the "site hosting" matters on all fronts before January 27th hits.

Once again, I deeply apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you faithful friends and visitors once more. But we'll definitely get through this; I'm determined to make sure that we're still in this thing for our music operation's 9th anniversary which is coming up during the course of February. As always, I'll keep you all posted on any new developments as they happen. Stay tuned.

P.S.: At this time, thankfully I was able to log on to this main website's blog system so that I could finally post this entry; there are still some technical difficulties that are preventing me from logging in to the hosting account on the backend. Once I finish write and post this entry, I'll be in contact with the VimlyHost administration again to get to the bottom of yet another annoying barricade. Once again, your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated at this time. Thanks, all.

Latest News Regarding Upcoming Arrangements Targeting "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, December 27, 2018 - 09:51 AM

Christmas art visual featuring the cast of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
(image courtesy: Nintendo of America's Twitter account)

The above image was posted via Twitter a few weeks ago from Nintendo of America before the Christmas holiday break itself to give their shoutouts featuring the cast of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It is also a good time for me to get you all up to speed in regards to what's been happening on the Super Nintendo music styled arrangement front/plans regarding new stuff focused on this game's score (covering all existing versions of this game including the WiiU, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS).

First and foremost: as I stated in this post the other day, I'm currently on "holiday break" regarding the "music arrangement process" itself (because I'm trying to deal with other stuff to prepare for the coming 2019 year for these operations; of course, I'll definitely be slowing down during the Christmas and New Year holidays themselves to spend time with my "family/friends network"). But I can tell you that there is no way that I have forgotten about this installment in question! It's just that the demand for my doing Super Nintendo music style covers targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score really got in the way (and this is the evidence to prove it).

But hopefully, during the course of early 2019, I'll get back in action on making more progress doing my new batch of Super Nintendo music style covers targeting the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker installment. As you can see from our "Music Arrangements Progress Page", there are currently 7 overall targets in the queue focused on this game (3 on standby to get finalized, and 4 in the "tracker process"). And there may be a few more I might plan for alongside with these seven. I can tell you all right now that I can not wait to get back on this after the 2019 year arrives, and maybe we can possibly see on getting this batch done before our music operation's 9th anniversary? God only knows.

In the meantime, don't forget that at our forums, we still have a topic up for you all to post what songs you hope will make it to this page targeting music from the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker game (which you can find right here). Once again, although it's technically not a thread to make requests, you never know... maybe said songs in question you hope I'll do arrangements for may be what I had in my planbook for this new upcoming batch! So don't lose hope.

That's all for now, everyone; long story short - after I take some much needed rest during the Christmas and New Year's holiday period on the "music arrangement" front, we're definitely going to prepare and get "back to adventure" with Captain Toad and his crew there. Can't wait. See you folks later; take care for now.

We're Still Alive/Server "Technical Difficulties" Finally Resolved

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, December 27, 2018 - 01:39 AM

Okay, friends - many apologies regarding this site's activity being really "dormant" since the last posting letting you all know about our hosting account being moved to another server. The case was that from what the hosting administration staff at VimlyHost told me is that there were major hiccups on the backend when they were doing the migration process itself for this site and my account that was attached with it.

What we thought would take like one to two days actually took like nearly two to three weeks; to even make things more difficult, the "backend operations" for this site wouldn't allow me to do any "maintenance work" or even add new general blog entries (which also saddened me when I wasn't able to do my planned "annual Christmas greetings" one to two days ago).

With all that said, and after filing numerous support tickets with the VimlyHost staff (including one during the course of Christmas day itself before heading out to spend it with the rest of my family/friends network), the matter has finally been resolved on the server operation backend, and thank heavens (even the higher ups of VimlyHost contacted me sending apologies for what we had to endure all these past weeks). At this time, I'm still regaining strength so I can get back to business for these music operations in general, including site maintenance itself on the backend. Right now, though, I have to end this here and get some rest for tomorrow itself; however, I will let you know right now that a blog entry detailing plans for new Super Nintendo music style arrangements involving the score of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be posted very soon. In short regarding that case: yes, I still got certain songs from that game still on my radar, it's just that my doing SNES music style covers targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score took higher priority all those months back; and I can see why it would be that way (especially from the poll input I saw from you folks when I posted related stull from our Twitter account).

Until then, see you all next entry; once again, don't forget that if you have any further questions related to this or any other matter, you all know what to do (via email, IRC channel, Discord Portal, and Twitter). I'm out.
