Latest News Regarding Upcoming Arrangements Targeting "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker"

(image courtesy: Nintendo of America's Twitter account)

The above image was posted via Twitter a few weeks ago from Nintendo of America before the Christmas holiday break itself to give their shoutouts featuring the cast of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It is also a good time for me to get you all up to speed in regards to what's been happening on the Super Nintendo music styled arrangement front/plans regarding new stuff focused on this game's score (covering all existing versions of this game including the WiiU, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS).

First and foremost: as I stated in this post the other day, I'm currently on "holiday break" regarding the "music arrangement process" itself (because I'm trying to deal with other stuff to prepare for the coming 2019 year for these operations; of course, I'll definitely be slowing down during the Christmas and New Year holidays themselves to spend time with my "family/friends network"). But I can tell you that there is no way that I have forgotten about this installment in question! It's just that the demand for my doing Super Nintendo music style covers targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score really got in the way (and this is the evidence to prove it).

But hopefully, during the course of early 2019, I'll get back in action on making more progress doing my new batch of Super Nintendo music style covers targeting the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker installment. As you can see from our "Music Arrangements Progress Page", there are currently 7 overall targets in the queue focused on this game (3 on standby to get finalized, and 4 in the "tracker process"). And there may be a few more I might plan for alongside with these seven. I can tell you all right now that I can not wait to get back on this after the 2019 year arrives, and maybe we can possibly see on getting this batch done before our music operation's 9th anniversary? God only knows.

In the meantime, don't forget that at our forums, we still have a topic up for you all to post what songs you hope will make it to this page targeting music from the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker game (which you can find right here). Once again, although it's technically not a thread to make requests, you never know... maybe said songs in question you hope I'll do arrangements for may be what I had in my planbook for this new upcoming batch! So don't lose hope.

That's all for now, everyone; long story short - after I take some much needed rest during the Christmas and New Year's holiday period on the "music arrangement" front, we're definitely going to prepare and get "back to adventure" with Captain Toad and his crew there. Can't wait. See you folks later; take care for now.

We're Still Alive/Server "Technical Difficulties" Finally Resolved

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, December 27, 2018 - 01:39 AM

Okay, friends - many apologies regarding this site's activity being really "dormant" since the last posting letting you all know about our hosting account being moved to another server. The case was that from what the hosting administration staff at VimlyHost told me is that there were major hiccups on the backend when they were doing the migration process itself for this site and my account that was attached with it.

What we thought would take like one to two days actually took like nearly two to three weeks; to even make things more difficult, the "backend operations" for this site wouldn't allow me to do any "maintenance work" or even add new general blog entries (which also saddened me when I wasn't able to do my planned "annual Christmas greetings" one to two days ago).

With all that said, and after filing numerous support tickets with the VimlyHost staff (including one during the course of Christmas day itself before heading out to spend it with the rest of my family/friends network), the matter has finally been resolved on the server operation backend, and thank heavens (even the higher ups of VimlyHost contacted me sending apologies for what we had to endure all these past weeks). At this time, I'm still regaining strength so I can get back to business for these music operations in general, including site maintenance itself on the backend. Right now, though, I have to end this here and get some rest for tomorrow itself; however, I will let you know right now that a blog entry detailing plans for new Super Nintendo music style arrangements involving the score of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be posted very soon. In short regarding that case: yes, I still got certain songs from that game still on my radar, it's just that my doing SNES music style covers targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score took higher priority all those months back; and I can see why it would be that way (especially from the poll input I saw from you folks when I posted related stull from our Twitter account).

Until then, see you all next entry; once again, don't forget that if you have any further questions related to this or any other matter, you all know what to do (via email, IRC channel, Discord Portal, and Twitter). I'm out.

Hosting Server Move/Migration Planned for 12/15/'18

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, December 14, 2018 - 11:55 PM

Heads-up, everyone: I received word from our folks at the VimlyHost administration that this entire site is going to be migrated to a new hosting server during the course of tomorrow afternoon, December 15th.

The details given to me are this: no action is needed to be taken by anyone on both the front and back ends and the hosting account in relation to this site is not going to be affected (including the current URL that we have in place for this site itself). However, there might be some downtime when the time comes for the server transition to take place; if you try to access the site and run into a "cannot find server" error situation from the web browser that you're using, this is the reason why.

Thanks in advance for your understanding of this situation, all; take care for now.

What's Being Planned for the Final Weeks of 2018

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, December 14, 2018 - 11:12 PM

Okay, friends, so as you may already be aware from the previous posting on this site, I am now done with my Super Nintendo music style arrangements themselves for these operations in 2018 year. I'll disclose more details later on the "statisics", but it's been one heck of a ride one year later as I still try to recover and get back in the "full groove" for these parts. But believe this: my passion for Nintendo's Super Mario videogame series is still very high, especially on the music end, hence why these operations have existed for eight to nine years. And there's absolutely no way that I'm quitting this thing.

That said, the agenda now is this: because of the upcoming Christmas holidays coming up in just about one to two weeks from now, I definitely have to take a break from the "music arrangement process" both in and outside of these operations in order to get some other matters off my backlog. What does that mean in terms of this place itself? Well, as I stated in previous entries before this one, I have to see about getting things together for an upcoming new "portal" (which now looks like I might be able to get it in action during the 2019 year). Additionally, this also now gives me the chance to start doing some "maintenance matters" on the backend for these operations overall to make sure that we are set for the 2019 year itself when it arrives in earnest.

That does not mean that I'm leaving the "interactivity" front, obviously. I'll still be checking on any new email correspondence received from you folks, as well as making sure to keep track of activity on our other existing portals including the forums, IRC, Twitter, SoundCloud, and even our Discord. This is also a very good time to make sure that you're a part of that interaction on all these five portals listed if you haven't already; we definitely need to see about having new supporters of these operations get on board as "activity" has still been slim to nearly none. And once again, remember that our forum portal will still be our primary "community" area for these operations overall, so make sure that you create your account for that place if you haven't already (provided that you still agree to our terms and conditions for it, of course).

Other than that, there still might be new general content for this place coming in the final weeks (no guarantees on that, though); but once again, on the music arrangements process end, we're through with that until we officially begin the 2019 year. But please, please, please... do not stop with your support for us; I've definitely appreciate the encouragement that some of you folks have given to me during the course of this year (especially in regards to the SoundCloud end, which I'm still hoping to deal with trying to "upgrade" that thing in due time), and I want to make sure that when 2019 comes around, the momentum will keep going but at an even better scale as compared to what I had to share music arrangements wise during this 2018 year. As always, if anything new comes up during these final weeks of this year, you know the drill. Until then, see you all later and have a fantastic weekend. I'm gone for now.
