"Mario Kart Arcade GP DX": Tribute Arrangement Added - "Staff Credits"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, December 13, 2018 - 12:32 PM

Today, everyone, yours truly has added our final Super Nintendo music styled arrangement of 2018 for these operations: this targets the "staff credits" music that is heard in the Mario Kart Arcade GP DX game. But that's not the only reason why I wanted to make sure to get this out the door and sharing it with you all out there before this year itself is out in just a few weeks from now.

As the article entry title states above, this is also my latest "tribute arrangement" to pay homage to the late Stan Lee, co-founder of Marvel Comics and creator of respective characters under that brand including Spider-Man and the X-Men. As we all should already be aware by now, Stan Lee went to be with the Lord a few months ago; he passed away at 96 years old.

Our "tribute article" to Stan Lee as well as your being able to download my latest Super Nintendo music style arrangement paying our final respects to him can be found by going to this page.

Our First "Music File Statistics" Article Posted (Targeting the 12/3/'18 Music Update)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, December 9, 2018 - 09:42 PM

This evening, everyone, I'm pleased to announce that we have posted our first detailed "music file statistics" article that focuses on the recent music arrangement file additions that were posted for these operations since a few days ago (12/3/'18) targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score. Be forewarned that it might be a long read, but it was needed to also explain that apparently because of the recent update that was done last week, the respective "rankings lists" for both the featured Super Mario (and branched) videogame installments as well as the involved featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets on that document for our operations have been going through a "shakeup".

You'll see what I'm talking about when you read said article in question here. Take care for now, all.

"Super Mario Odyssey": Newest Batch of Arrangements Have Arrived!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, December 3, 2018 - 09:53 AM

Morning, friends; hope you all are having a fantastic start to this new work week! As for yours truly, I'm definitely snagging this opportunity to get it started off right on the music operations side of things here... because we're finally able to get our latest batch of Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score posted and out the door at last (12 new files in total here)! The targets themselves that are listed below involve three "versions" of the "Kingdom Map Selection" theme, certain areas of specified kingdom locales, as well as two "boss fight" themes (hint: one of the two "boss fight" themes is a "personal favorite" for me, but I won't say what it is for now).

As for the new music arrangement files in question for you all to check out starting now, they are the following:

* Kingdom Map - 1 (Disney's Magical Quest 1 Arrangement)
* Kingdom Map - 2 (Disney's Magical Quest 1 Arrangement)
* Kingdom Map - 3 (Disney's Magical Quest 1 Arrangement)
* Sand Kingdom - Tostarena (Ruins Area) (Plok! Arrangement)
* Sand Kingdom - Tostarena (Inverted Pyramid) (Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge Arrangement)
* Boss Fight - Broodals (Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge Arrangement)
* Metro Kingdom - New Donk City (Nighttime - Part 1: Main Exploration) (Castlevania: Dracula X Arrangement)
* Metro Kingdom - New Donk City (Nighttime - Part 2: "City Hall" Area (Castlevania: Dracula X Arrangement)
* Metro Kingdom - New Donk City (Nighttime: Boss Fight - Mechawiggler) (Disney's Aladdin (SNES Version - Capcom) Arrangement)
* Wooded Kingdom - Steam Gardens (Inspector Gadget Arrangement)
* Subterranean (Main Theme) (Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge Arrangement)
* Another World (Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge Arrangement)

On a side note, due to the latest music file additions that have been posted just now for these operations, our music file ranking statistics document has been updated accordingly; however, there is something noteworthy that I would like to share regarding said update another day. For now, I will state that thanks to these latest music files that have been added here today, it looks like the ranking lists that we have on said document there are encountering a bit of a shakeup! Once again, I'll explain more on what that "shakeup" could be, hopefully within the next few days.

Until then, as always, if you have any problems regarding access to these files in question, please don't hesitate to contact me via email form, the forum portal, IRC channel, or Discord. Thanks in advance, all; hope you enjoy these new arrangement postings! I'm out for now.

December 2018 Greetings: The "Home Stretch" Phase Is Here!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, December 1, 2018 - 12:09 PM

Hey there, faithful friends and followers of these music operations; keeping things short and sweet in terms of this formal "monthly greetings" entry because I am currently in the "weekend mode" at this time, plus I'm snagging the chance to get this out of the way right now because my "seasonal work" outside of here called me to not "report for duty" due to severe weather circumstances (which is understandable, but does give me an advantage here; God is good, no doubt about that!).

With that all said, welcome to the final month of this year for our music operations overall; we are now in the "home stretch" phase! At this time, I am still in the "finalization procedures" for our latest batch of Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score (as explained in my previous entry, the ETA of posting is still scheduled during the week of December 3, 2018). I honestly cannot wait to share this latest stuff with you all and I believe that you all will definitely love the targets that have been included here. Watch for it soon!

After that is done, I'll see about dealing with that "tribute arrangement" which I started work on a few days from the "tracker procedure" end (as stated in this entry). Quick recap: this targets another song from the Mario Kart Arcade GP DX installment which will use the Super Nintendo music instrument set created for the Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge game (since the tribute itself in question is to honor the late Stan Lee, founder of Marvel Comics and creator of the "Spider-Man" and "X-Men" characters). Additionally, this song in question when posted will be our final Super Nintendo music style arrangement for the 2018 year as a whole; I can't wait to get this out the door in due time as well.

Why do I say the above, you all ask? First of all, I can tell you folks it's not just because of the upcoming Christmas holidays themselves that will be knocking on our doorstep in a few weeks from now, no sir. I need to snag the time to step it up on getting materials set up for the upcoming "portal" that I've been telling you all about for months (which I won't go into details about again). But it's still been on the top of my mind and clues tell me that it still may be crucial to also finish the 2018 year and/or start off the 2019 year when it officially gets rolling. I've got the ideas themselves for said "portal", I just have to find time in my overall schedule for the setup/implementation process. As always, I'll keep you faithful friends/listeners posted on any new developments as they occur.

Until then, friends; let's all keep positive for this brand new month of December, look forward to the upcoming new music arrangement postings when they become available, and finish the 2018 year itself out strong. I still appreciate your support in advance; as always, if you have any questions regarding what has been posted in this entry, please do not hesitate to send me an email, contact me on IRC, find me at our Twitter profile page, or join our server at the Discord. Take care for now, everyone; I'm gone.
