"Music File Statistics" Document Taken Offline for Quick Maintenance (UPDATE: Maintenance Done; Document Back Online)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, November 16, 2018 - 10:49 AM

Been doing some site maintenance on the backend; however, while doing so, I accidentally reverted the "Music File Statistics" document to a previous update that was done before I added the Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I did featuring the score of Luigi's Mansion (if you haven't seen that posting yet, you're able to view it and get the available files here).

At this time, although I have the previous file itself that I've saved to my flash drive for reuploading to the site later today, the current document itself has been temporarily taken offline for the time being. Once again, I'm hoping to get this problem resolved before the end of today; apologies to everyone for any inconveniences this may have caused if you were trying to access said "Music File Statistics" at this time.

I'll give you all a heads-up on when this said document comes back online. Stay tuned.

UPDATE (11/16/'18, 8:34 P.M. (CST)) - The "Music File Statistics" document file maintenance has now been completed and is back online; you're able to access it here once again. Please note that the recent "update" to the file itself is still October 31, 2018 (as a result to the addition of the first batch of Super Nintendo music style arrangement files targeting the score of Luigi's Mansion).

Shoutout to the Late Stan Lee (1922 - 2018)

A few days late on this, but I finally snagged the chance for us to do our quick shoutout to one of the comic creator legends who has definitely made an impact on respective communities... the late Stan Lee, co-founder of Marvel Comics.

The person in said above picture has been the brainchild of many superhero characters created under the Marvel brand; two of those said "superhero" franchises from that same brand over time have gotten the videogame treatment on occasion. The most noteable game installment in relation to our using the respective Super Nintendo music instrument set for doing my arrangements here involving those two said "franchises" featured Spider-Man and the X-Men. And yes, you guessed it, I'm referring to one of my personal favorite Super Nintendo games on the music front, Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge (especially on the music instrument set end; Geoff Follin and Tim Follin were responsible for creating this set and the score itself for said game there).

This is also to let you know that an upcoming "tribute arrangement" is being planned soon targeting a song from a Mario game installment; details are still under lock and key, but when posted, I'll obviously make sure to note that this will be in memory and our giving thanks to Stan Lee's contributions because if it wasn't for his creating the Spider-Man and X-Men characters in his comic books, the Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge game itself wouldn't have existed at all back in the early 1990s.

Stay tuned for more developments on this matter, everyone.

Quick PSA About Plagiarism Attempts Against Our Operations' Policies

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 - 04:22 PM

This quick PSA had to be brought up because of a certain case that I've heard about when checking out our music operation's Twitter account on the main timeline page end and saw that someone was crying foul against another person because they were committing plagiarism; it even led to that person who was crying foul ultimately blocking that offender because they were using said materials without crediting the person who originally created that content in the first place.

Obviosuly the case stated above is not in relation to these music operations here overall, but it still must be said that I still make sure to take every measure necessary around here to do the exact opposite to make sure it complies with our policies shown here. Plagiarism attempts that violate our policy in any form is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances; although I haven't run into any news yet about anyone using content from this site without our authorization (especially the music arrangement files that have been posted here so far), I still do my best to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity where this same stuff may be found that would raise the "red flag".

Which also brings us to here, because you can also be that extra "lookout" for me if you see this content on any other website that's been posted outside of here without our permission. I've posted more details on how you're able to report this information to me via this support topic on our forums (if you have a current forum account in good standing); however, if you don't have a forum account, you still can relay to me said information I need to take the necessary actions by sending me an email. Just remember to follow the guidelines on what is needed from you in this same post to file the report.

Thank you all in advance for assisting yours truly to ensure everyone adheres to said policies for these operations and to also hold any possible plagiarists accountable once they have been reported.

Music Arrangements Progress Update for "Super Mario Odyssey" (11/10/2018)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, November 10, 2018 - 09:44 AM

Okay, faithful friends and followers of these music operations - it may look and feel "dormant" on the frontend, but I can assure you with God as my witness, I'm still hard at work on the backend making progress regarding upcoming Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the score for the still insanely popular installment Super Mario Odyssey. And as I stated on the previous entries before this one, based on your votes/input from the recent Twitter polls that I have posted on our profile there (as well as checking out the "outlook" for my planbook on the backend side of things here), you can bet that all angles are telling me to focus on the current batch of Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I am working on which involve the songs from this said game.

And let me tell you that I am heeding those clues. As if our "Music Arrangements Progress Page" isn't evidence enough, in our Super Mario Odyssey row there, at this time, I currently have 8 files that are waiting to get "finalized" for posted as well as 3 files that I am working on as we speak. And there may be plans to get started laying the "foundation" of another target for the "tracker procedure" to complete this planned batch before the end of the year. It's been a crazy ride, just like the Super Mario Odyssey game itself, but I'm still enjoying every minute of it, that's for sure.

In the meantime as I'm working hard on making more progress on this upcoming batch of files, it's a good time to remind you all to don't forget about joining our forum portal and checking out the "Anticipation Topic" for upcoming arrangements targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score. Once again, as stated before, although it is not a request thread, this is to post what you all think what songs from that game I should be targeting because who knows... it might be the same ones that I have put in my planbook when I get them posted in due time!

That's it for now as I have to prepare to switch gears for the "weekend mode". But until then, take care until I see you again for the next entry, and let's continue to "do the Odyssey"! I'm gone for now.
