Happy 1st Anniversary to "Super Mario Odyssey"!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, October 26, 2018 - 11:26 PM

Celebration is in order for the 1st anniversary of the widely popular installment, Super Mario Odyssey, and for good reason! And we still have plans to keep that going on the Super Nintendo music style arrangement process front here as well. Read below for more details.

That's right, everyone; on this day one year ago, the highly acclaimed installment for Nintendo's Super Mario videogame series hit the insanely popular Nintendo Switch console under the name of Super Mario Odyssey. Although yours truly has yet to get that console itself and the aformentioned game, I'm still grateful that I've been snagging the opportunities to be a part of doing the Super Nintendo music style arrangement procedures targeting the beyond epic score of this thing.

If you all haven't had the chance to check out the Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I've done so far targeting the score Super Mario Odyssey, then what in God's name are you waiting for? Go to this page and see what you've been missing. It includes my arrangement attempts of the two vocal songs as well (including, of course, the Super Mario Odyssey theme song).

And to those of you who think I'm done with doing more music arrangement stuff targeting this game, think again. At last check on this page, I am now currently dealing with nine targets overall (five are currently in the "tracker procedure" on the backend and four are current waiting to get "finalized" for posting). My hope is that I can get these said songs done to share with you all during the course of early November. Watch for it.

In the meantime, if you haven't done so already, make sure to hit our "Music Arrangements Anticipation Topic" for Super Mario Odyssey letting me know which songs you hope I'll consider targeting as the weeks and months forge ahead. Who knows, maybe the songs in question you have fingers crossed for might be in the crosshairs of my planbook! Later, everyone.

Still Busy on The Music Arrangement Scene, Backend Wise (The Current "Game Plan" At This Time, Plus Other Matters)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, October 20, 2018 - 10:40 AM

Okay, friends; I know it's been very, very dormant on all angles of these operations including this home base website itself (and forums), and all our other "social media portals" (including Twitter, IRC, Discord, and even our SoundCloud). But don't count yours truly completely out because as you can see from our "Music Arrangements Progress Page" statistics, my Super Nintendo music style arrangement procedure activity on the backend is still slowly getting back in high gear, and I am still deterimed to get a bunch of targets off my planbook in the weeks and months ahead, while still searching for new candidates to prepare for.

At this time, here's where the "game plan" stands at now as we are in our 11 - 12 days remaining before October comes to a close:

(1) Priorities on "Super Mario Odyssey"/"Luigi's Mansion"
Recently on our Twitter profile, I posted this poll from last Saturday morning to get input from you all regarding certain Mario installments that I've been targeting for new Super Nintendo music style arrangement works to be featured here. From the results being shown, this also confirms where my current focus is at this time: the Super Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion installments (apparently because Super Mario Odyssey is what people are thinking about more since it's more well known and still insanely popular for the Nintendo Switch console and the recent release of Luigi's Mansion for the Nintendo 3DS is a port of the Gamecube launch title from many years back). Right now, I'm still hard at work on making more progress on the batch of songs that I've been targeting from both of these games; additionally, as I write this, I'm about to see about at least setting up the "foundation" for another song target from Super Mario Odyssey. Really exciting times, I assure you all. The hope is that I can get these done and posted before month's end; fingers crossed, but please be aware that there is still no guarantees with this. But one thing is definite that I am determined to get new music arrangement content for you all before this year is out; as always, stay tuned for any new additions for our music operations here as they occur!

(2) "Super Mario Party": Still On The "Music Candidate Search"
As what was shared on this entry here, although many "outside obligations" have thrown a wrench in my following through in doing this part of the planbook as of late, I still have Super Mario Party on my radar in the weeks and months ahead. And I also still need everyone's assistance in terms of helping me find those "music candidates" from this recently released Nintendo Switch installment so I can see if there are possible Super Nintendo music style arrangement candidates that I can prepare to plan for. The topic on the forums regarding this matter is still open, and you can post your replies and suggestions regarding the Super Mario Party "music candidate search" by going here.

(3) But What About "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker" and "Mario Tennis Aces"?
Hang on, friends; I haven't forgotten about these two installments. It's just that they've been placed "on hold" for the time being while I'm trying to get the planned Super Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion song targets out of the way. I know that from this page mentioned earlier, three arrangments that I've done targeting the Mario Tennis Aces musical score are still being waiting to be finalized, but I'm still trying to see if I can do some more stuff from that game before I actually do the finalization process. As for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, I am making progress slowly, but surely; four targets are currently in the "tracker process" in hopes that they'll be added with three others that are awaiting "finalization". Once again, these numbers from that same "Music Arrangements Progress Page" can change from time to time, so make sure you keep that page bookmarked for any new happenings as they occur!

Last, but not least, I'm currently attempting to finish my investigation of another "social media candidate" and hopefully make a final decision on it and take action afterwards. My hope is that after I finish the latest batch of Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the Super Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion scores, we can briefly switch gears and start the "setup process" on that new portal which once again, if my assumptions are correct, will be critical going forward during the "final two months" of this year (as well as when we officially start the 2019 year after that). Keep fingers crossed that there will be no wrenches thrown in the works regarding this, everyone; from what I've seen and heard so far, especially in regards to these operations, it looks like that portal's definitely going to be needed.

With all that said, it's time for me to prepare to head out and deal with my other "weekend obligations". As always, if you have any further questions after reading this entire post, please do not hesitate to send me an email, contact me on IRC, leave a message on our Discord portal, or leaving me a private message at our forum portal. Take care for now, everyone, and have a great rest of your weekend. I'm gone for now.

"Luigi's Mansion": Super Nintendo Music Style Arrangement Files In The Works

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, October 13, 2018 - 11:13 AM

The Nintendo 3DS version of the Gamecube launch title is now on store shelves in the United States and still retains what made that game itself very unique from the start. So what's the game plan for yours truly in terms of doing Super Nintendo music style arrangement stuff targeting selected songs from this installment? And will the "chosen candidates" still retain their addictive and spooky nature upon being shared with all of you faithful followers/listeners in the weeks and months ahead? Read on to find out.

Okay, friends; happy Saturday morning to all of you. I finally snagged the chance while in "weekend mode" to let you know that I'm slowly getting back to business in general after having to "shelter in place" due to what was Hurricane Michael (thank the Lord that my town wasn't in the actual strike path, but our prayers are definitely with all of you who are affected by this storm and its aftermath).

With that said, and with conditions in my area being way better than the past few days ago, it's time for me to get back to making steady progress on the bunch of Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I've been working on. Although I'm not doing any at this time because I have to prepare to head out for a church event in a few hours from now, I'm making sure to write this post to let you all know and confirm that as the blog entry title states (along with the corresponding image of the game's main art visual), yes, I am currently working on a few Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the Nintendo 3DS version of Luigi's Mansion's score (which is actually a port from the Gamecube game which launched along with the related console many years ago).

This doesn't mean that I wasn't busy behind the scenes preparing to do these planned attempts in relation to this game (even before the Hurricane Michael storm hit), oh no, sir. I've been working my sources to search for said "candidates" from the original Gamecube version of this game, and as you can see on our "Music Arrangement Progress Page" here, two songs have been targeted so far and are currently in "the music tracker process" as we speak. And there may be more to follow that might involve a new featured Super Nintendo music instrument set that apparently would match the overall "theme" of most of this game's musical score. What could it be, you ask? You'll find out in due time as always.

Until then, as always, keep it here for any new developments as they happen in relation to this upcoming featured installment for these operations. Take care for now, everyone; I'm gone.

Backend Activities Temporarily Suspended Due To Hurricane Michael

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 - 09:18 PM

While I'm happy that progress is being made slowly in terms of my working on new Super Nintendo music style arrangement stuff for these operations (along with trying to get more new features implemented for this community overall), I am saddened to have to disclose this news that the groove has hit a "temporary delay" at this time. Yours truly has had to focus on and assist others in preparing for the impending storm threat that is Hurricane Michael. The good news is that I'm not in the actual "strike zone" of the hurricane path, per se, but recent events related to this incoming storm have me taking higher priority in terms of addressing those matters involving myself, my family, and everyone else in my "personal network" before I can get back into my music groove here, hopefully soon after the storm itself has passed.

I'll still be checking on any music operations communcation that may be received during this time (plus, I still have to catch up on some other past inquiries as well on the backend); just know that especially on the IRC channel and Discord Portal ends if you don't see me online for a very long time, you'll know that it's because of having to deal with getting through this Hurricane Michael threat (good news is that if this forecast stays consistent, we should be back to getting things normal again during the course of this coming Thursday).

In the meantine, and on another related note: I am still waiting to hear from many of you folks regarding matters that I have addressed in previous posts before this one including:

(1) Assisting me in finding possible music candidates from the recently released Super Mario Party installment; more details on that here (with a link to the related thread on our forums).
(2) Finding other legitimate videogame music communities to help promote these operations further, especially during this "final quarter" of the 2018 year; more details at this entry.

Thanks for your understanding on this in advance, everyone; I'll see you all later.
