"Luigi's Mansion": Super Nintendo Music Style Arrangement Files In The Works

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, October 13, 2018 - 11:13 AM

The Nintendo 3DS version of the Gamecube launch title is now on store shelves in the United States and still retains what made that game itself very unique from the start. So what's the game plan for yours truly in terms of doing Super Nintendo music style arrangement stuff targeting selected songs from this installment? And will the "chosen candidates" still retain their addictive and spooky nature upon being shared with all of you faithful followers/listeners in the weeks and months ahead? Read on to find out.

Okay, friends; happy Saturday morning to all of you. I finally snagged the chance while in "weekend mode" to let you know that I'm slowly getting back to business in general after having to "shelter in place" due to what was Hurricane Michael (thank the Lord that my town wasn't in the actual strike path, but our prayers are definitely with all of you who are affected by this storm and its aftermath).

With that said, and with conditions in my area being way better than the past few days ago, it's time for me to get back to making steady progress on the bunch of Super Nintendo music style arrangements that I've been working on. Although I'm not doing any at this time because I have to prepare to head out for a church event in a few hours from now, I'm making sure to write this post to let you all know and confirm that as the blog entry title states (along with the corresponding image of the game's main art visual), yes, I am currently working on a few Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the Nintendo 3DS version of Luigi's Mansion's score (which is actually a port from the Gamecube game which launched along with the related console many years ago).

This doesn't mean that I wasn't busy behind the scenes preparing to do these planned attempts in relation to this game (even before the Hurricane Michael storm hit), oh no, sir. I've been working my sources to search for said "candidates" from the original Gamecube version of this game, and as you can see on our "Music Arrangement Progress Page" here, two songs have been targeted so far and are currently in "the music tracker process" as we speak. And there may be more to follow that might involve a new featured Super Nintendo music instrument set that apparently would match the overall "theme" of most of this game's musical score. What could it be, you ask? You'll find out in due time as always.

Until then, as always, keep it here for any new developments as they happen in relation to this upcoming featured installment for these operations. Take care for now, everyone; I'm gone.

Backend Activities Temporarily Suspended Due To Hurricane Michael

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 - 09:18 PM

While I'm happy that progress is being made slowly in terms of my working on new Super Nintendo music style arrangement stuff for these operations (along with trying to get more new features implemented for this community overall), I am saddened to have to disclose this news that the groove has hit a "temporary delay" at this time. Yours truly has had to focus on and assist others in preparing for the impending storm threat that is Hurricane Michael. The good news is that I'm not in the actual "strike zone" of the hurricane path, per se, but recent events related to this incoming storm have me taking higher priority in terms of addressing those matters involving myself, my family, and everyone else in my "personal network" before I can get back into my music groove here, hopefully soon after the storm itself has passed.

I'll still be checking on any music operations communcation that may be received during this time (plus, I still have to catch up on some other past inquiries as well on the backend); just know that especially on the IRC channel and Discord Portal ends if you don't see me online for a very long time, you'll know that it's because of having to deal with getting through this Hurricane Michael threat (good news is that if this forecast stays consistent, we should be back to getting things normal again during the course of this coming Thursday).

In the meantine, and on another related note: I am still waiting to hear from many of you folks regarding matters that I have addressed in previous posts before this one including:

(1) Assisting me in finding possible music candidates from the recently released Super Mario Party installment; more details on that here (with a link to the related thread on our forums).
(2) Finding other legitimate videogame music communities to help promote these operations further, especially during this "final quarter" of the 2018 year; more details at this entry.

Thanks for your understanding on this in advance, everyone; I'll see you all later.

In Search Of Other Videogame Music Community Candidates; Help, Please!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, October 6, 2018 - 10:50 AM

Along with requesting for your assistance in this matter related to finding song candidates targeting the overall score for Super Mario Party to do Super Nintendo music style arrangement work on, our music operations overall now have an even greater need which requires your legitimate and honest responses as soon as possible before this year is out.

The situation in question is this: and yes, that case has popped up again... I am now in an extremely important search to find other legitimate videogame music communities out there that may also be a possible match for what I'm doing for these music operations (especially if they are dedicated fans of the Super Nintendo music style arrangement cover phenomenon, like myself). The thing is, I especially need YOUR help with those suggestions as well on this matter.

We definitely need to see about increasing our efforts to get traffic to this site, our forums, our IRC channel, Twitter, SoundCloud account, and our newly implemented Discord Portal from a few months ago for these "final quarter" of the year so we can definitely be ready to start our new challenges when 2019 arrives (which I believe are going to also be upped as well as we approach our 9th anniversary in a few months from now). We've really come a long way since then, and I refuse to give up on this passion now.

On a side note, I'm also working my sources on researching another "social media portal" that we may be using soon to get the word out about these music operations of mine in a big way (also with hopes that we'll bring them to this site and other "socail media portals" for these music operations that we have implemented now); details are still undisclosed for the time being, but I can say it looks like that option may be becoming a possible reality soon, and it looks like it may be critical as well. No ETA in terms of when it will get implemented, but it is being considered and worked on, and it is coming. Watch out for more news about this part of the case soon.

In the meantime, please take the time to see about sending me an email, contacting me on the forums, or sending me a message via IRC or Discord with any suggestions you may have regarding other videogame music communities I should check out that do Super Nintendo music style covers in general (which is the top criteria that I'm looking for) so I can definitely take action accordingly in due time.

Thanks wholeheartedly in advance for your assistance in this very important matter/crossroad for our music operations here, and I look forward to hearing from you folks very shortly. Take care for now, and have a good rest of your weekend. I'm out.

"Super Mario Party" - In Search For Super Nintendo Music Style Arrangement Candidates; We Need Your Help!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, October 5, 2018 - 02:00 PM

The Mario gang is ready to get their "party groove" in action for this first "Mario Party" installment for the Nintendo Switch; and we need your help to find some "candidates" for some Super Nintendo music style arrangement planning in the weeks and months ahead! Read below for more details.

All right, friends - as of today, the Super Mario Party installment itself has now been released onto store shelves worldwide for the Nintendo Switch console! If you have a Nintendo Switch system itself at this time, then I would suggest that you do not hesitate to get this latest installment under the Mario Party family of games via your nearest retail store and/or digital download via the Nintendo eShop.

With that said, because of the nearly high interest for this installment in question (which, of course, includes mine), folks have been posting stuff in relation to this game already (mainly from the gaming journalist media since they received their "review copies" a few days ago). One of those materials in question included someone getting their hands on the staff credits for this game, which listed the composers responsible for writing the Super Mario Party musical score as well!

And you know what that means: yes, we've gotten the "green light"; Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting songs from the Super Mario Party game are coming soon! The only question that remains is what songs from this game should be targeted to do the Super Nintendo music style arrangement treatment for. That's where you (yes, you!) come into the picture.

Although I'm working from sources on my end to find those "candidates" in question, I'm also open to suggestions from all of you in regards to which Super Mario Party songs I should consider to do the SNES music style arrangement procedures for as well. A thread on the forums has been created for you to leave those suggestions, and it can be found by going here.

Please take the time to see about leaving me those suggestions on the thread in question so that I can review each "SMP music candidate" accordingly and make final decisions from there for my planbook on the backend as the weeks and months forge ahead after today. Thanks in advance for your assistance, everyone; I'll see you all over there.
