Extras - Other Stuff - Music Arrangements Outlook (Nintendo Direct - "Super Mario Maker 2" (5/15/'19))Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, June 2, 2019 - 01:01 PM Hey there, friends; keeping this "Music Arrangements Outlook" article short and sweet because I just snagged the chance to get this written up while dealing with other "outside obligations". But thank heavens that I'm able to get this out of the way before this first weekend of June is in the history books. And as you can already tell, it's targeting what my current outlook status is in regards to the upcoming Super Mario Maker 2 installment for the Nintendo Switch console (slated for release on June 28, 2019).  So, as you folks are already aware, Nintendo recently posted a dedicated "Nintendo Direct" focused on the upcoming Super Mario Maker 2 installment for Nintendo Switch (back on May 15, 2019). If you haven't had a chance to check it out in its entirety, you're able to see that video here. As for making preparations on finding possible "candidates" in relation to this upcoming installment: here's the thing... as you all might know already, I haven't even targeted stuff in relation to that game yet to put in the planbook (heck, I haven't even thought of any possible targets to consider regarding the original "Super Mario Maker" installment for the Wii U and 3DS consoles!), and even if I did, let's just say that might be a bit of "shakeup" in terms of how I would be approaching the score of both Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2 games. And guess what? It seems like my "music arrangement target planbook" might get shaken up even further because it looks like just like the original Super Mario Maker versions, I might be approaching some "special territory" here. I can't disclose full details as to why, but it looks like this is one of those cases that I'll have to make a different approach for and there's no ignoring it either if final decisions are made in my planbook to tackle this game's score. The question is not if I'm able to do it, but how it should be done. You all will find out in due time. In short: my outlook verdict in terms of possible Super Nintendo music style arrangement candidates focused on the Super Mario Maker 2, it is the same like the original versions: APPROACH WITH CAUTION, SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES DETECTED. As always, if any new developments happen in regards to my doing SNES music style arrangements targeting the score of Super Mario Maker 2, you all know what to do: keep it bookmarked on the front page!
