Website On A New Hosting Server, But Could The "Domain Name" Be Saved...?

All right, faithful friends/followers of these beloved music operations, as of the date and time of this posting, I'm now pleased to announce that our "home base website" of operations is with our newest hosting server under the name of AwardSpace. The only drawback is that there might be a few site operations management changes on the backend which I'll elaborate on in another post since I just got back home from the other side of town.

But I need to make this other announcement before I go: a few hours earlier when I gave the official "heads-up" on all our available "interactive community portals" about this new site hosting location on the 'net, I was approached again from the previous hosting staff at Vimly Digital asking about the domain name we were previously using. Apparently, they say that I still might have a chance to have that same URL of mc-mmg-homebase.com point to this hosting server if I act fast.

So during the course of tomorrow, I'll check with the support department of AwardSpace (as well as with my Vimly Digital contacts) and file a ticket to discuss about the situation and find out about my options at this point. But this one thing is clear: I need to find a solution to this matter before July arrives for sure (because that's when our former hosting services with Vimly Digital have slated to completely close their doors). So let's keep fingers crossed, and I'll report back on any new developments on this "domain name" situation. I'm out for now.

Hosting Server Move Underway, But Slowly

Good evening, all; just giving you a quick follow up regarding the hosting server situation that I'm still sorting out at this time.

First, the good news - the newest "candidate" has been chosen and our account with them has been successfully created. The bad news: the "materials transferring" process from here to there has been progressing slower than initally thought because of the newest hosting candidate having certain restrictions in place with an intent for no abuse to occur on their servers, which is understandable.

Further details are under lock and key at this time, but I am going to recheck with the folks at Vimly Digital during the course of either tonight or tomorrow to know how many days are remaining of their services because I want to ensure I give you all a heads-up on when this site has successfully been transferred to the new server completely. Until then, stay tuned.

June 2022 Greetings: The "Summer Months Period" Begins, But With Some "Roadblocks" To Deal With

All right, friends - we have just now officially reached the "summer months" period of this year for our beloved music operations as a whole. However, as this blog entry's title states and as I announced in this post yesterday, we have been hit with some roadblocks that I'm currently trying to see about resolving at this time.

But it bears repeating that until I get this "high priority situation" of getting this site moved to a new hosting service candidate, my general "backend activity" regarding our music operations will be very limited; I'm hoping it won't take longer than one to two weeks at best to get this situation sorted out.

In the meantime, it's highly recommended that if you haven't done so already, please make sure that you're following us at the Twitter Portal, applying for an invite to our Discord server, or joining our IRC chat channel on EsperNet. I'll keep everyone posted via those angles in regards to any new developments as they occur regarding the situation including when the server hosting move has been successfully made. As I said earlier, I hope that it doesn't take that long. Stay tuned, and I'll see you awesome people later. I'm gone for now.

Heads-Up: Possible Server Hosting Move Incoming Within The Next 1 - 2 Weeks

This just in from the Vimly Digital hosting administration, everyone: I have received unfortunate news that because of interal situations beyond their control, they are planning on closing their services within the next few weeks (which also means that the server that this site is hosted on will become inactive as well).

At this time, I'm currently ensuring that all materials regarding this entire "home base website" itself are fully backed up and on standby for transfer to our next hosting candidate once they are found. Right now, this is a "high priority" situation so all general music operations activity on the backed is currently suspended at this time until this case is fully resolved - hopefully during the span of 1 - 2 weeks.

As always, I'll keep all of you updated via our existing interactive community portals including IRC, Discord, and Twitter should any new developments regarding the situation. Apologies in advance for any inconveniences; take care for now, and stay tuned.
