Where Things Stand for the "Final Two Months" of 2019

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, November 3, 2019 - 02:21 PM

Now that we've got a major hurdle with our hosting account sorted out, it's time to share where things stand for our music operations as we pull through our "final two months" of 2019.

(1) New Super Nintendo Music Style Arrangements Still Incoming
First, although this "home base website" was down for half of September and all of October, that doesn't mean that I was not determined to take process to complete my Super Nintendo music style arrangement planbook backlog on the backend. Far from it. Here's what has been going on: I currently have four music arrangements currently "on standby" to be finalzied for posting that cover the musical score of a certain Mario spinoff installment done for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. And just a few days ago, I managed to finish a Super Nintendo music style arrangement targeting a certain song for a Mario game installment done for mobile devices; so far, that song in question has been shared on our SoundCloud account. But hopefully during the course of this coming week itself, I'll get right to work on getting said game page on this site as well as getting the other "standby files" for the other game finalized and out the door (so I can get the game page up for that one too). Will keep you all posted when new developments occur.

(2) Doing More Possible Targets Between Now and the End of December
And even when the stuff that I mentioned in the above paragraph gets posted, there's no time to rest. At this time, I'm trying to decide on what to clear from my backlog next; hopefully, I can see about making more progress on a "starting batch" of new arrangements targeting a Nintendo Switch Mario spinoff installment, as well as possibly do another "staff credits" song to finish things off. There are no guarantees, but I'm still determined to get this aforementioned backlog cleared slowly, but surely. There's another angle that I need to address regarding all of our existing "social media portals" in regards to these music operations, but that'll be discussed in a separate post in a few minutes. Watch for it shortly.

And We're Finally Back In Action Again...

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 06:37 PM

Blog entry title says all, everyone; and not a moment to soon as we start our "final two months" of the 2019 year. Granted, I've kept in touch via all our other "social media portals" for these music operations including IRC, Twitter, and Discord, but this site being literally out of action since mid-September was a literal test of everybody's patience, yours truly included.

The ultimate culprit as to why this site was down for so long was in regards to our site hosting provider (which has now changed its name to Vimly Digital, by the way) having literal issues with the higher-ups who were supposed to manage their service itself and the accounts under them (including ours). After having filed numerous support tickets to keep tabs on the situation, they have had to move everything to a different hosting server as a result. Thankfully, they had a backup which included the entry that was posted back on 9/13/'19, so all isn't totally lost.

At this time, I'm currently playing catch up and getting everything resituated on my end regarding this "home base website" of operations; I'll do another follow up posting either later tonight or during the course of tomorrow when I return from church to let you all know where things stand for these "final two months" of the 2019 year. Stay tuned.

Back In The "Music Arrangement Groove" Of Things; Where We Stand Now

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, September 13, 2019 - 04:24 PM

Just a quick blog entry post here to let you know that I'm still not dead on the backend; case in point, I'm happy to share that we're slowing getting back into the Super Nintendo music style arrangement process of things from that angle since a little over one week ago.

Case in point, and just to prove that I wasn't lying when I was stating some things in this specified entry here: at this time, I have been starting to clear a backlog targeting the musical scores of two Mario spinoff installments. If you folks can recall, the clues that I shared from the aforementioned entry that I linked to earlier stated that one of those installments in question is a Nintendo Switch game and the other one is a Nintendo 3DS game. But both said games in question DO NOT have a respective page for these music operations (and this site) as of yet; hopefully as the weeks forge ahead, we can see about getting them on board in due time. And the other piece of evidence: check our "Music Arrangements Progress Page"; you'll be able to see what two game installments that I am talking about.

Once again, there is still no ETA on when I'll finish my aforementioned targets covering the musical scores of said two Mario spinoff installment games; however, I'll keep you folks posted from time to time regarding how things are shaping up as well in this process as when said music arrangement file additions will be incoming when the stuff gets finalized. Right now, I have to end this entry here because I have to prepare to switch gears and deal with work obligations outside of here that are about to be thrown my way within the next few hours. See you all later.

Newest "Music Arrangement Outlook" Article Posted ("Nintendo Direct" - 9/4/'19)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, September 9, 2019 - 03:08 PM

As you folks already know, during the course of last week, a "Nintendo Direct" was posted and it involved two upcoming installments related to our interests here: Luigi's Mansion 3 and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020.

The only question to ask here is this: regarding our current "music arrangement planbook" at this time, will the two aforementioned titles in question get possible "priority status changes" as the months forge ahead, especially after the games themselves see release later on this year? This latest "Music Arrangement Outlook" article that we've posted here just moments ago will have that answer.

That's all for now, everyone; see you all next entry as new developments occur. Stay postive, awesome people! I'm out.
