Hosting Server Move/Migration Planned for 12/15/'18

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, December 14, 2018 - 11:55 PM

Heads-up, everyone: I received word from our folks at the VimlyHost administration that this entire site is going to be migrated to a new hosting server during the course of tomorrow afternoon, December 15th.

The details given to me are this: no action is needed to be taken by anyone on both the front and back ends and the hosting account in relation to this site is not going to be affected (including the current URL that we have in place for this site itself). However, there might be some downtime when the time comes for the server transition to take place; if you try to access the site and run into a "cannot find server" error situation from the web browser that you're using, this is the reason why.

Thanks in advance for your understanding of this situation, all; take care for now.

What's Being Planned for the Final Weeks of 2018

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, December 14, 2018 - 11:12 PM

Okay, friends, so as you may already be aware from the previous posting on this site, I am now done with my Super Nintendo music style arrangements themselves for these operations in 2018 year. I'll disclose more details later on the "statisics", but it's been one heck of a ride one year later as I still try to recover and get back in the "full groove" for these parts. But believe this: my passion for Nintendo's Super Mario videogame series is still very high, especially on the music end, hence why these operations have existed for eight to nine years. And there's absolutely no way that I'm quitting this thing.

That said, the agenda now is this: because of the upcoming Christmas holidays coming up in just about one to two weeks from now, I definitely have to take a break from the "music arrangement process" both in and outside of these operations in order to get some other matters off my backlog. What does that mean in terms of this place itself? Well, as I stated in previous entries before this one, I have to see about getting things together for an upcoming new "portal" (which now looks like I might be able to get it in action during the 2019 year). Additionally, this also now gives me the chance to start doing some "maintenance matters" on the backend for these operations overall to make sure that we are set for the 2019 year itself when it arrives in earnest.

That does not mean that I'm leaving the "interactivity" front, obviously. I'll still be checking on any new email correspondence received from you folks, as well as making sure to keep track of activity on our other existing portals including the forums, IRC, Twitter, SoundCloud, and even our Discord. This is also a very good time to make sure that you're a part of that interaction on all these five portals listed if you haven't already; we definitely need to see about having new supporters of these operations get on board as "activity" has still been slim to nearly none. And once again, remember that our forum portal will still be our primary "community" area for these operations overall, so make sure that you create your account for that place if you haven't already (provided that you still agree to our terms and conditions for it, of course).

Other than that, there still might be new general content for this place coming in the final weeks (no guarantees on that, though); but once again, on the music arrangements process end, we're through with that until we officially begin the 2019 year. But please, please, please... do not stop with your support for us; I've definitely appreciate the encouragement that some of you folks have given to me during the course of this year (especially in regards to the SoundCloud end, which I'm still hoping to deal with trying to "upgrade" that thing in due time), and I want to make sure that when 2019 comes around, the momentum will keep going but at an even better scale as compared to what I had to share music arrangements wise during this 2018 year. As always, if anything new comes up during these final weeks of this year, you know the drill. Until then, see you all later and have a fantastic weekend. I'm gone for now.

"Mario Kart Arcade GP DX": Tribute Arrangement Added - "Staff Credits"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, December 13, 2018 - 12:32 PM

Today, everyone, yours truly has added our final Super Nintendo music styled arrangement of 2018 for these operations: this targets the "staff credits" music that is heard in the Mario Kart Arcade GP DX game. But that's not the only reason why I wanted to make sure to get this out the door and sharing it with you all out there before this year itself is out in just a few weeks from now.

As the article entry title states above, this is also my latest "tribute arrangement" to pay homage to the late Stan Lee, co-founder of Marvel Comics and creator of respective characters under that brand including Spider-Man and the X-Men. As we all should already be aware by now, Stan Lee went to be with the Lord a few months ago; he passed away at 96 years old.

Our "tribute article" to Stan Lee as well as your being able to download my latest Super Nintendo music style arrangement paying our final respects to him can be found by going to this page.

Our First "Music File Statistics" Article Posted (Targeting the 12/3/'18 Music Update)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, December 9, 2018 - 09:42 PM

This evening, everyone, I'm pleased to announce that we have posted our first detailed "music file statistics" article that focuses on the recent music arrangement file additions that were posted for these operations since a few days ago (12/3/'18) targeting the Super Mario Odyssey score. Be forewarned that it might be a long read, but it was needed to also explain that apparently because of the recent update that was done last week, the respective "rankings lists" for both the featured Super Mario (and branched) videogame installments as well as the involved featured Super Nintendo music instrument sets on that document for our operations have been going through a "shakeup".

You'll see what I'm talking about when you read said article in question here. Take care for now, all.
