Music File Statistics Rankings Document Update (2/20/'21)Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, February 20, 2021 - 09:12 AMFollowing this update which was posted a few days ago, I've finally snagged the chance to update the respective "Music File Statistics Rankings Document" as well before preparing to switch gears for this brand new weekend. And although this doesn't meet the criteria to have a new "dedicated article" posted in regards to recent changes on the document, it's still worth briefly mentioning two things:  First, on the "Featured 'Super Mario' (and branched) Installments" Rankings list, the WarioWare: Smooth Moves installment now makes its debut at #24 (tied with Mario Tennis Open and Mario Golf: World Tour). That's because the respective game pages have four Super Nintendo music style arrangements done for each of them so far; when the WarioWare: Smooth Moves game page got started a few days ago, it had that same number of arrangement covers that were posted for it. Only time will tell if any of these three games that are tied in the #24 position will work their way up the ranks as the months progress.  And speaking of which, a rankings jump has occured on the "Featured Super Nintendo music instrumenet sets" portion of the rankings list. As I stated the other day, the last four SNES music style arrangement postings were done using the instrument set of Konami's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. Well, because of this, the said instrument set made a slight jump today from the #14 spot; it now sits in spot #12 (this set was used in a total of 13 times as of 2/18/'21); before the recent posting and this document update, the aformentioned set wasn't in use since two to three years ago after I did a few covers targeting some songs from Mario Kart Wii, Mario Sports Mix, and Game & Wario. And that's all I have to share for now regarding this document update; once again, we're just getting started for this 2021 year. You'll never know when stuff like this for the aforementioned document will get rocked again in the months to come (this article that I posted in late January is clear evidence of that), so as always, stay tuned!
