Valentine's Day Greetings For 2019 (Possible Hints For What's Ahead in the Coming Months?)
Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, February 14, 2019 - 08:07 PM
Hey there, friends; yours truly finally snagging the chance during the final hours of this special day to formally give a shout out to all of you awesome people on this Valentine's Day. I hope that on your end, it's has been a great one. As for me, it's been the same, especially in regards to our first two music arrangement additions that we've posted earlier today (which, of course, you can read the details about here). Although they might be "short and simple", I still wanted to make sure I've done my part on the music front for this Valentine's Day excitement as well.
That said, as some of you folks also know for a while now, even though I am a dedicated fan of the Super Mario videogame series as a whole (both main and branched), I am a fan of the Mario females double. There have been folks in the past that have been trying to shut my (and other people's) fandom up about this (and if my mind serves me correctly, are still doing it with no remorse; God have mercy!), but I'm still not fazed to this day. So it comes as no surprise when I checked on Nintendo of America's "Play Nintendo" website that there were three pictures that caught my attention as they were giving their shoutout's for the Valentine's Day excitement itself.
Valentine's Day 2019 card featuring the promo artwork of Princess Peach done for Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario Run. (Click thumbnail image for a larger view.)
First, this above card image featuring our number one Princess Peach is without a doubt fantastic and "sweet"! The promo artwork of Peach herself is in relation to the Super Mario 3D Land installment (and seen once again later for the Super Mario Run mobile game). On the music arrangement planning front to keep focus here of course, could this be a sign that I may be targeting some new stuff to cover from the Super Mario 3D Land game that was done for the Nintendo 3DS? And might some musical scores from Super Mario Run be featured down the road? Could be possible as the months forge ahead (and after I deal with some other stuff in my backlog); will keep you all posted.
As for where you can find that card itself, it's located on this page on the Play Nintendo site.
Valentine's Day 2019 card featuring the promo artwork of Princess Peach done for Mario Party 10. (Click thumbnail image for a larger view.)
Next is this above card image right here also featuring our Princess Peach, but the promo artwork of her is in relation to the Mario Party 10 installment. The card itself make sense, but in my honest opinion, the Nintendo of America folks should have done another version, but with Pauline from Super Mario Odyssey. That's just me, however. As for the image itself, from a music arrangement standpoint, this could be a sign that I might check into finding more candidates from the Mario Party 10 musical score do to Super Nintendo music style covers on. It's still going to be a rare occurence because as I said earlier, in most cases, my doing music covers targeting songs from Mario Party installments has been very, very rare. Just saying. But I'll still keep you in the know on this angle too.
For the card itself, you're able to score this one after completing a "personality quiz" on this page.
Valentine's Day 2019 card featuring the promo artwork of Toadette done for Mario Party 10 and Super Mario Run. (Click thumbnail image for a larger view.)
Finally, we have this Valentine's Day card featuring our mega-loveable Toadette (come on, you would be flat-out wrong to resist this insanely cute gal! Seriously.). In my honest opinion, this is one of the best promo arts of Toadette to date seen for Mario Party 10 as well as Super Mario Run afterwards. On the music arrangement planning front involving the two games which Toadette is involved in, the outlook is the same as I mentioned in the above two paragraphs in regards to Peach's involvement for them; however, I first still need to clear the backlog of music arrangement targets I've put in my planbook covering the musical score of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (which, of course, Toadette has a "lead role" in along with "Captain Toad" himself).
As for this Valentine's Day card itself featuring Toadette, you can find it on this page.
And that's it for the Valentine's Day cards that I found on the Play Nintendo site for the 2019 year. Also, it has been two years since I've made an actual entry like this (because of those "turbulent situations" I had to deal with during last year which I am still sorting out, slowly). But here's a fun fact: seeing the Mario girls looking their best, especially for Valentine's Day, always gives me the encouragement to press on and do this thing not only for them, but for all of you awesome people out there as well. Here's hoping for the best regarding new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers from yours truly after tonight, and as said earlier, keep it locked on the front page for any new developments as they occur! I'm gone for now.
