What Happened Since Late June/The Game Plan Now

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, December 8, 2017 - 05:38 PM

Yes, yours truly was waiting to use this image featuring Peach and Rosalina from Super Mario 3D World to "demonstrate" how exhausted I was in my finally trying to get this post written up. So what in God's name was going on resulting in our operation's "dormancy" since late June? Read on to find out.

And now, the moment that we've been finally waiting for (myself included) - it's time to get all of us up to speed in terms of what the heck has been going on with yours truly regarding the operation's "dormancy" since late June (after the E3 2017 events) and how I'm determined to get us back to normal status when I came back to start the "recovery" since late September/early October.

So What Happened Since Late June?
So here's the situation from back in late June, friends: let's just say that even during the E3 2017 week... without disclosing "personal details" since these events in no doubt happened outside of them; however, it played a role in "adversarial forces" trying to throw a major wrench in my plans. During that same week when the E3 2017 happenings were going on, every other angle was going "haywire" which also included that "former weekday job" which I held for almost one year (I'll get into more on that in a moment). The case was that during the said week, I had to deal with some... "unwanted guests" in my area of town and they were in no doubt interfering with my original plans and work groove. It was only made worse when it reached a boiling point during the course of Saturday, the weekend after the E3 2017 events. What really infuriated me was that during that time, I received word that had me forced out of my own house for a few months, and for less of having "lighter words", it was not by choice. The sad part was that I wasn't able to get back to my own house until late August/early September.

As if that was not enough to get me angry, upon returning to my house to see if all my stuff was intact - it was not to be, unfortunately. Those same persons who I suspect that I had to deal with in that same week of E3 2017 were the culprits who broke into my house and stole some critical and personal items of mine (and the insult to injury is that some of those items were very important for my upkeep of these operations!) - those items included 1 laptop computer, 4 jump drives, 1 Nintendo 3DS game system, and 1 game case that included some of my Nintendo DS/3DS games! Make no mistake, I was definitely "under attack" from those adversarial forces... but, there's more to the story... because I was forced out of my house for nearly two to three months, the previous site hosting account that we had which housed our "home base" of these operations got "deactivated" for inactivity. Extremely tragic, I know. But the good news is that those "theives" only ransacked my house's living room and kitchen. Thankfully, the rest of my house was left untouched (and for good reason since the rest of my game systems are there as well as my desktop computer). But still, to make a long story short, my "personal groove" has taken a hit, as well as the "music operations upkeep" here. However, the good news here is that as I stated in a previous entry, I still had some old backup CDs that were lying around in my bedroom (and some old CDs that had some, but not all, of the art assets I need to help correspond with this site) so I could begin my recovery process. We still have a ways to go before I can get back to normal; however, mark my words... we will be back in full throttle, and you can count on my getting back in my Super Nintendo music style arrangement groove once everything here gets fully restored.

The Game Plan Now
Which brings me to this part of the entry: as you all are already aware, the focus right now since we're on a new web hosting server (as well as a different blog system for the main website) is to get all pages and related music files restored in a timely manner before all the events that I have stated above happened. Right now, the main target of course is the Gallery List section of the site; we're halfway there. Hopefully during the course of next week we can get some more pages restored because now we're closing in to dealing with those pages in which I have done recent Super Nintendo music style arrangements for which include, but are not limited to Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and many others. As always, I'll keep you folks posted on the progress made as I have been doing the past few weeks.

The next thing on my agenda after this is taking care of the other parts of these operations which include the "Behind the Process" section, and last, but not least... the Forum Portal. But I'll forewarn you folks now, when I deal with getting that part of the site set up, it's going to be run under some new software. I'll give you more details about that when the time comes.

But for now, and to still make this long story short - yes, yours truly has taken a very severe hit and is still sorting all angles out at this time which has obviously messed my original plans up, but I am still here, my enthusiasm for Nintendo's Super Mario video game series has not waned, and our music operations are still in this thing for the long haul. Once again, my sincere apologies to you faithful listeners/visitors for my being extremely dormant for the past few months, but you can be very certain that I will be coming back in full force even better than before regarding these endeavors. There's no stopping this dedicated fan; however, I will still say that for those who did this mess to me... their day is obviously coming. But we'll let God himself deal with that end; I only care about dealing with my recovery efforts at this time.

Okay, I'm out for now, friends; take care, and have a great weekend. See you all next week.
