Extras - Other Stuff - Special Tributes - "Super Paper Mario - Bounding Through Time"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, June 28, 2018 - 02:43 PM

NOTE: This specified music arrangement "tribute" was originally posted as a blog entry on our previous site layout (from September 11, 2016); we have managed to recover the "source file" of this entry and do the necessary edits/modifications for its relaying to this current "home base website"'s blog entry system.

It's been a very long while since I've done any new Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the musical score of the Super Mario installment that started this whole music operation of mine seven to eight years ago (which would be Super Paper Mario, of course). Only that on this case, despite my still dealing with "personal real life circumstances" outside of these operations overall; the latest SNES music style arrangement that I have posted here today to share with you folks... had to be done for this day.

I'll spare the details regarding the song itself that I've done the SNES music style arrangement for here (using the instrument set of the "Batman Returns" game, developed and published by Konami); for those of you who have played the Super Paper Mario game itself (it is also available via Nintendo's "Virtual Console" service on the WiiU, by the way, if you don't have the said physical copy), you'll know what part of the game this music in question is targeting. And believe me, the song itself is nearly a tearjerker just as much as the "story" attached with it.

This Super Nintendo music style arrangement is also posted in memoriam of the horrific terrorist attacks that occurred fifteen years ago in New York (World Trade Center twin towers, now the "One World Trade Center" tower), Washington, D. C. (Pentagon) and the devastating plane crash in Pennsylvania which resulted in many countless lives lost and numerous traumatized families who are still grieving for their lost loved ones to this day after receiving that tragic news. My SNES music style arrangement of this said tune came to mind when I got reminded on the news the other day about the U.S. preparing to mark the 15 year anniversary of said attacks that occurred on our country. And like the original tune itself, I was almost in tears as I spent all of Friday night and Saturday morning doing the "tracker work" for this thing. And I'm very sure you all will be in tears when you hear the result.

You can all listen to my SNES music style arrangement of this tune in question here. And remember, everyone, always stand strong in the midst of any threats being hurled against us... especially horrific events like this in which we pause to remember today. Take care, everyone; I'm out. Stay positive, friends.
