Extras - Other Stuff - Music File Statistics Update (10/16/'24): Incoming Upsets - "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door"Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 - 12:51 PM So here's the thing as of the date and time of this article's posting, faithful friends and followers of these music operations as a whole: as you can possibly slightly recall, we posted the latest update to it that reflected the recent activity which involved our addition of the "starter batch" of Super Nintendo music styled arrangements covering songs from the Nintendo Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. (Just in case, if you haven't checked out the "starter batch" of files itself in question, you can find that here; additionally, the announcement about the document update itself which followed can be seen here.) ![]() Can you imagine that a few months back when this document got its respective update, it was to reflect the addition of our music operations site's game page for Princess Peach: Showtime! (which made its debut at rank #5). Fast forward to this month of October, and the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door game page for this site gets added as well. But was the "starter batch" of Super Nintendo music styled covers that I did involving songs from the Nintendo Switch version of said game enough to place the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door game in a high enough rank number for its debut? ![]() Apparently not because at this time, the said game made its debut on said document in rank #14, being tied with other featured Mario game installments including Mario Kart Tour and New Super Mario Bros. U. The only good news out of this is that according to my planbook, a few more songs are currently in my planbook to do the Super Nintendo music styled arrangement process in the coming weeks or months ahead, so we shall see if the featured Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door installment itself will climb higher through the ranks as a result. Now to the "Featured SNES Music Instrument Sets" category of this document - this was how the listing looked before the document update nearly two weeks ago: ![]() If you faithful friends/followers/listeners of these music operations as a whole remember, the first batch of Super Nintendo music styled covers we posted that involve songs from the Nintendo Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door called on these following music instrument sets: Disney's Aladdin (SNES Version - Capcom), SmartBall, and Space Ace. And yes, the Disney's Aladdin instrument set "dominated" the starter batch itself, but was it enough to affect the respective rankings category here? ![]() It did, all right. Right now as we speak, the featured Disney's Aladdin instrument set now sits in rank #2 (which used to be held by the "Disney's Magical Quest 1 (The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse)" instrument set; now it sits at rank #3). But it still has a long ways to go before it can overtake the #1 spot which is currently being held by the featured instrument set for Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge. As for the other two featured sets that were involved in the "starter batch" posting a few weeks ago, both SmartBall and Space Ace received slight jumps in their respective rankings as well (the SmartBall instrument set currently sits in rank #11 being tied with the instrument set for Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage; the Space Ace instrument set now sits in rank #22 tied with the following instrument sets for Captain America and the Avengers, Biker Mice from Mars, and Lethal Enforcers). But make no mistake: as mentioned earlier in this article itself, this is only the beginning in yours truly doing Super Nintendo music styled covers targeting stuff from the Nintendo Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door... meaning that when the time comes for more new stuff to be added for this respective game page itself, expect more upsets to hit the document itself along with notes being taken for addition to our changelog. Until then, it's time for me to finish this here; see you all later until we meet again next time around with more music arrangement covers to share with you awesome people. I'm out.
