Extras - Other Stuff - Instrument Set Clarifications ("Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose!" / "Tiny Toon Adventures: Wacky Sports Challenge")

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, September 16, 2024 - 03:37 PM

Greetings, friends; yours truly has been waiting since forever to get this off my planbook - if you can recall during the course of the past 1 - 2 months (more specifically, since mid-August as well as some certain postings during the early part of this month of September), I gave a few hints regarding about what featured Super Nintendo games were going to be next in line regarding their respective instrument sets created for them which have been called upon many times during the history of these music operations as a whole to do Super Nintendo music styled covers of certain songs from specified Super Mario videogame installments from the Nintendo Wii up to the current Nintendo Switch console. And those clues were the following:

(1) The featured "set" of games were developed and published by Konami, and...
(2) These games in question that were done by Konami involved a certain TV animated series that was very popular during the 1990s period, and which yours truly is still a fan of to this very day.

Well, the wait is over to give you that answer - if any of you here guessed that those games in question were under the Tiny Toon Adventures series, then you are on target! More specifically, we're talking about these two games in question: Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! and Tiny Toon Adventures: Wacky Sports Challenge.

Let's start with the Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! installment first - since this was the first game that Konami developed and published for Super Nintendo consoles in the early 1990s period. In terms of the featured game itself, for those of you who can recall, each gameplay stage was like an "episode" all having its focus on lead character Buster Bunny trying to overcome the challenges of them to progress forward. Additionally, in between those main levels, we were able to play certain minigames featuring the rest of the Tiny Toon Adventures cast to earn extra lives for Buster's reserve. Musical score wise, it was in no doubt unique; thanks to "internal sources and methods", it was enough to get my attention to get the respective instrument set that was done for said game to do a bunch of Super Nintendo music styled covers that involved it targeting songs from certain modern Mario series installments including (but not limited to): New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, and yes, even Princess Peach: Showtime!

And as of the date and time of this article posting, there hasn't been any future song candidates yet that'd have me call on the Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! music instrument set again; however, I doubt that I won't have to wait for that long regarding the matter, especially since this featured music instrument set in question is still way up there usage wise, especially after we've posted our first set of covers focused on songs from Princess Peach: Showtime! earlier this year. Be on the lookout as we progress forward with this set in the months to come!

Next up is Konami's second entry involving the "Tiny Toon Adventures" cast - Tiny Toon Adventures: Wacky Sports Challenge (also known as Tiny Toon Adventures: Wild & Wacky Sports for the Europe region). This time around, it's one of those "sports multiplayer games", but with the Tiny Toon Adventures twist - and we are tasked with representing one of four featured characters (Buster Bunny, Babs Bunny, Plucky Duck, and Dizzy Devil) to prevail in certain sports challenges (apparently maintained by "super spoiled rich kid" Montana Max) and ultimately come out on top when all is said and done. Musical score wise, this got my attention way back when just like with Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose!; the respective instrument set has been called upon many times to do certain Super Nintendo music styled covers of songs from specified Mario series installments that primarily had that multiplayer and/or "party/board" game aspect to it (for example, games including, but aren't limited to: Mario Sports Mix, Game & Wario, and Super Mario Party). And rumor has it that I might have to get this same Tiny Toon Adventures: Wacky Sports Challenge instrument set on standby to do upcoming song covers targeting stuff from the soon-to-be-released Super Mario Party Jamboree installment for the Nintendo Switch console, perhaps? We'll see if my planbook actually confirms this possibility during the course of next month which is the same time period when it's planned for this game itself in question to be released (more specifically, on 10/17/2024).

Last, but not least, if you all are still wondering about the gameplay itself regarding these two Tiny Toon Adventures games in question developed and published by Konami (along with listening to the musical scores that were done for the said games), check these links out below:

And that's all for now regarding this latest "Instrument Set Clarifications" article covering the two Tiny Toon Adventures SNES games in question; here's hoping that yours truly is not the only person who's still a fan of the Tiny Toon Adventures series to this day and still an enthusiast of these two featured SNES games (as well as their respective instrument sets for these operations as a whole). As always, if you have any further questions on what's been shared here, please don't hesitate to contact me on this. Thanks, all, and I'll see you next time around.
