Finally snagged the chance to see about writing our first formal "monthly greetings" entry of the new 2021 year, everyone. At this time, I'm still trying to recover from the recent holiday breaks that we had along with finishing music operations material backup procedures on the backend; but I am still looking forward to what's to come for us regarding finding new modern Super Mario game installment music candidates (adventure, spinoff, and branched) for the Super Nintendo music style arrangement procedures. Granted, we still have this backlog from last year, but thankfully, it's still way better than what it was a little over one year ago.

And speaking of which, it's still time to briefly look back in regards to some "numbers" involving the Super Nintendo music arrangement covers that have been added during the course of last year, along with other factors in relation to it. So after reviewing my sources, the statistics show that there were:

* 40 Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers added for these operations; from these, it also involved...
* featured Mario game installments (main, spinoff, and branched)
* 18 featured Super Nintendo instrument sets were involved (including 6 new ones that were originally made for the musical scores of David Crane's Amazing Tennis, Biker Mice from Mars, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition, Captain America and the Avengers, Super Soccer Champ, and Goal!)

But with all these numbers above, there are other things to note: on the new files that we added for these operations last year, the majority of them went towards covering the score of Mario Sports Superstars (Nintendo 3DS) (13 additions), which was one of the pages that was also added before last year's end. Following closely behind was my starting to cover songs from the Nintendo Switch game Paper Mario: The Origami King (with 10 additions); Paper Mario: Color Splash (Wii U) closely follows in third with 10 arrangement additions that I added to the repsective page.

On the featured Super Nintendo music instrument set involvement last year; because of my doing covers of the Paper Mario: The Origami King score late last year, the instrument set from Disney's Aladidin (Capcom/Disney) claimed the top spot (for a total of nine times). The rest of the instrument sets that were involved during the course of last here had usage numbers that were less than stellar (the other highest numbers from internal rankings have the instrument set of Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge (LJN/Software Creations) taking the second spot, and many ties on the remaining sets that were involved last year; the usage on the remaining ones not mentioned here came up to numbers between 1 and 3.

And once again, these numbers could have been better (especially the second list) if it weren't for COVID-19 getting in our way. But I'll save that for another time because as I stated earlier, I'm still slowly getting resituated for this brand new year and I'm hoping we can find those new "song candidates" because we can't let the Super Nintendo music style cover scene die over here! I'm just grateful to have answered the call and be in this process itself on the backend. And here's hoping that 2021 will give us much better opportunities down the road (along with our hopes that this horrid COVID-19 pandemic will get quashed over time this year, once and for all).

Until then, I gotta step out. Thank you all again for continuing to stand by me and these beloved music operations covering the modern music of Nintendo's Super Mario series as a whole. And of course you all already know that we're not done yet on the music arrangement front as well; I'm more than ready to get back in action once my "resituation process for 2021" is completely done. See you all later.
