May 2020 Greetings: "Summer Months" Period Approaching / Quick Shoutout to our SoundCloud Followers

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, May 1, 2020 - 07:53 PM

As the blog entry title states here, we have now officially started the month of May; however, as you all already know, the only thing that's been standing in everyone's way has been the COVID-19/"Coronavirus" pandemic situation. If you haven't done so already, please make sure that you've taken the time to read this article so you'll know where things currently stand regarding these music operations as a whole. Not to mention that in just a little over one month from now, we'll be entering into our "summer months period"; although I am still hoping for the best that we can strive to return to some sort of normalcy so I can resume actual music arrangements procedures on the backend, I have doubts that routine wise, it's possibly not going to be "as usual" due to the "coronavirus concerns" still being a key factor in our everyday lives at this time. Regardless, I'm still keeping alert for any new developments about this aforementioned manner and how it affects my music operations arrangement planbook going forward, so if anything major comes up, I'll make sure to let you all know via all available channels, including this site.

Second, before I switch gears into weekend mode, I wanted to make sure and give a quick shoutout to those of you faithful followers of these music operations as a whole who are also following our SoundCloud account as well. I'll get into more details on this in a separate article when there's space on my schedule, but if my assumptions are not wrong in regards to the "personal favorites" that I have posted over there, you all are also making your voices heard (via the "Popular Tracks" section of our account's profile) in regards to which featured Mario videogame installments (including "branched ones") stand out for you personally on the music end, including the recent stuff I did covering songs from Mario Kart Tour.

Until next time, everyone; all of you stay safe out there and take care of yourselves and those around you. And as always, if you have any further questions for me about music operations related stuff, you're able to submit them via email using this form; you should be hearing back from me during the Monday - Friday timeframes after I've received your correspondence itself. See you all later.

"Plok" SNES Official Vinyl Record Soundtrack Coming in June 2020

Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, April 19, 2020 - 10:11 PM

This just in to our music operations' newsroom, everyone, especially since some of the featured Super Nintendo music arrangements that I've done for this place have used the aforementioned beloved instrument set created by Geoff and Tim Follin  (16 times at last check as of the date and time of this posting) to write the scores targeting one of the greatest games ever developed during the SNES game era itself. That's right, it's Plok.

The folks at Respawned Records have announced that they are currently working on an official vinyl record soundtrack that will feature the songs heard from the Plok SNES game itself. Preorders are currently taking place at this time with a targeted release period of during the course of June 2020. Be forewarned, though: they're only producing a maximum of 500 copies for the shipment period when it comes, so it'd be best for you all to guarantee getting your copy preordered as soon as possible, especially if you're a huge fan of the Follin's musical works including their contributions to this game itself in question.

More information about this upcoming soundtrack itself can be found here.

April 2020 Greetings: Slowed Down Because of "Coronavirus", But Not Out

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, April 3, 2020 - 11:44 PM

Keeping this monthly greetings very short to let all you faithful friends/followers of these beloved music operations know that I'm still alive; however, as you all are already aware, the "coronavirus pandemic crisis" has been plauging all angles of our lives as we speak, and yours truly hasn't been immune to this either. More specifically, on the backend, it's been slowing my music arrangement procedure progress to a near standstill, and even as I write this, I'm still trying to find time in my personal schedule to get back at it so I can clear an ever increasing backlog (as shown on this page, which now include two upcoming game pages once their first batches of music arrangement files get posted here).

Long story short, the "coronavirus pandemic" has been taking a toll on my daily routines (which is understandable because this is the higher prority right now, and we all must do our part to make sure we get through this and help the medical community quash this threat completely over time). But I still have the determination to keep going with these beloved operations; I refuse to let this said "coronavirus" define any of it. That said, as I have stated in this said entry from last month, it may be a few months before any new music arrangement file postings get announced. I am hoping that we'll hear some good news from the medical community (as well as state/local authorities) in regards to any possible breakthroughs they may find to not only slow the spread of this "coronavirus", but quell it completely.

In the meantime, I am still continuing to monitor all aspects of these operations on the backend and answer any legitimate correspondence that may be received; once again, this all will be done during the Monday - Friday timeframe (except for major holidays). This includes the processing of follower requests for our Twitter profile and invite link requests for our server on the Discord. As long as your details show that you definitely meet our criteria on this page, you should be able to get clearance for the most part when I get to your aforementioned requests.

Long story short, we may have been literally slowed down to a crawl thanks to this horrible "coronavirus pandemic mess", but we're obviously not out. As others may have said, let's stay strong, and stay safe. We'll get through this together. Definitely make sure to heed every single piece of advice from the medical community professionals as well as state/local authorities so we can ensure this pandemic gets quashed, just in time for the upcoming summer months which are not too far off from today. See you all later.
