Our "Home Base Website" Is On Our New Home! (And Hopefully For A While This Time...)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 - 04:37 PM

All right, all you faithful Super Nintendo music arrangement style fans and Super Mario videogame series enthusiasts... if you are reading this message after I've gave notice on our previous hosting servers that we've "bailed out" from (as well as my recent announcements on TwitterIRC, and even on our recently launched Discord Portal), then you have arrived at our new "home" for our music operation's "home base website". And as you can already guess, the hosting candidate has been chosen and finalized.

As I mentioned on previous entries before this one, almost one month ago, we were approached by a website hosting candidate via our music operation's "Twitter Portal" that gave us more than enough evidence that one previous host's operations on the server end were more than unstable (not to mention that they were headquartered in India of all places!); and the other host had operations that were... limited to say the least, and they "brand" each page hosted on their servers! Those two factors were LITERAL red flags that I just couldn't stand; hence the "roadblocks" that got in my way of trying to get back into full groove for these music operations entirely. Well, with prayers to the Lord, this is the day that this said aggravation with numerous site host moving procedures ends for a very long while.

The new site hosting service that got chosen for us to transfer this "home base website" to as of today goes by the name of VimlyHost (which is based out of Europe). We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to these folks who managed to notice our cries for help via Twitter and give us an opportunity to create our respective account in order for their services to allow hosting of this website from here on out.

Now after this, the "final hurdle" remains - getting this music operation's "Forum Portal" back on the scene after almost one month of being "closed for maintenance reasons". But I'll elaborate on that in another post later tonight or during the course of tomorrow.

Until then, as always, if you encounter any problems with accessing anything on this site under this new hosting provider, do not hesitate to contact me immediately via this form. Once again, many thanks to all of you for your dedicated patience regarding this matter; believe me, I'm just as exhasuted as you all are because I'm more than ready to get back into the Super Nintendo music style arrangement groove for these operations after this. I'm out.

Reminder: Site Host Move Happening During The Course Of This Week

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, July 16, 2018 - 08:22 AM

Quick reminder to everyone: as originally announced on this entry that I posted during the course of last Saturday, this "home base website" is now currently "on standby" to get its materials moved on over to the new web hosting provider during the course of this new work week. There is no ETA on when the process itself will be completed, but I'm hoping that this will be taken care of before the new weekend itself arrives.

While this is happening, my music arrangement efforts themselves are currently suspended on the backend as I focus on preparing to take care of the upcoming site host move itself. Once our "home base website" has finished its move to the new host, that's when I will get back to my "music arrangement efforts" in earnest (and once again, hopefully during that time, I can see about getting our site's "Forum Portal" back into action as well).

We appreciate your heartfelt patience during this time and apologize in advance for any inconveniences caused. Take care for now, all.

Brace Yourselves, Everyone - We Now Have A "Discord Portal"!

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, July 14, 2018 - 02:38 PM

And finally, before I really, really, really switch gears into the "weekend mode", we've been waiting since FOREVER to get this new "social media portal" implemented for our "'Mario Music' SNES Arrangement Gallery" operations. Folks outside this place have been begging me to get an account under this system, and now, it's our time to be an actual part of this system's "process".

After months of being on Discord itself and one week of setup, it's time to add OUR server to the mix!

Nope, you're not dreaming. Allow us to proudly announce our music operation's brand new Discord Portal! This is for those of you who have an active Discord account who wish to get in touch with me and others who share the same interests and undying passion of hearing the music of modern Super Mario (and branched) games, but arranged in the Super Nintendo music style (and I still believe and know that there are many of you folks out there; it's just that we now have a new angle to unite under this server on the Discord).

Reminder that before you do any interaction with me and others on our Discord server itself, you are required to read the "Terms and Conditions" posted on our "#server-rules" channel there (minus the quoation marks) along with complying with Discord's Terms of Service/Community Guidelines. Your reading and posting messages there constitutes your acceptance of the rules set forth for our new server.

Once again, to get to our server itself on the Discord, you're able to so do by clicking this link or by right clicking the link to copy the URL and pasting it onto your desktop or mobile app for Discord itself. We look forward to seeing you on our server very shortly. I'm out for now.

Two Announcements For This Weekend (Music Arrangement Progress/Site Host Move Scheduled for Next Week Itself)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, July 14, 2018 - 02:07 PM

Before I finally switch gears at last into "weekend mode" for real, there are two things that I need to announce for our music operations here.

First and foremost, the past few days have had me definitely starting to get back into the music arrangement groove after posted our brand new music arrangement progress page, and boy did it come at the right time as I'm still continuing to fight an ever increasing "music arrangement planbook backlog"! Recently, I've been starting work to do all-new Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the score of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (which also got their Nintendo Switch and 3DS versions released yesterday, by the way). I am optimistic that once I get finished with the new batch of files, you'll enjoy the results. Other installments that I've been targeting on the music arrangement procedure front include Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, and even Mario Tennis Aces. Could there be more down the line after this? God only knows; until then, make sure to keep this page bookmarked for any new updates to those numbers on the chart as the weeks forge ahead!

Second, this is also a formal announcement that during the course of next week, the process to move this site to our new host will get underway. During the course of the previous week, the new site hosting candidate that we filed an application with gave us the green light to being the process and we're looking forward to getting this done without delay. No actual ETA on when this will be completed, but I'm keeping fingers crossed that we can get it out of the way before the next weekend arrives.

Hopefully once all of this is said and done (especially in terms of the second announcement posted above), I can see about making an attempt to get our forum software installed on the new site host as well and get the "Forum Portal" for these operations open again. Stay tuned, everyone!
