"Mario Kart 8": New Music Arrangements Posted For This Year's "Mar10 Day"
Posted by Merit Celaire on Sunday, March 10, 2019 - 01:07 PM
All right, friends, if you all can remember during the history of these music operations as a whole, I did a Super Nintendo music style arrangement targeting a song from Mario Kart 8 to coincide with my giving shoutout to what Nintendo calls "Mar10 Day" (in our celebrating Nintendo's leading mascot and the franchise/series that he represents). That arrangement in question was covering the "Wild Woods" course score, which uses the instrument set done for Sony Imagesoft's SmartBall game (if you haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, I'd definitely recommend checking it out by clicking this link).
Fast forward two years to today (because during the course of last year, I was dealing with some "personal recovery efforts at that time), and thank the Lord that I'm able to do this again for our "Mar10 Day" shoutout this year. Only that this time around, we've got two new Super Nintendo music style arrangement covers to share with you once again targeting the Mario Kart 8 score! The new files that have been added as of today are as follows:
* Ice Ice Outpost (using the Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! instrument set from Konami) * Race Results (Winning) (using the Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge instrument set from LJN/Software Creations)
Also to note: even though this is all what I have to share with you today, I'm also happy to say that a few more targets from Mario Kart 8 are in my music arrangement planbook crosshairs and/or are currently in the works as I write this. Details are undisclosed for the time being, but I can tell you that two targets that I'm currently working on may involve a new featured instrument set and at least one will also involve the musical score of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. You'll want to look out for that update itself when the time comes soon. Finally, some other targets from this same Mario Kart 8 game have recently "disrupted" my planbook and rumor has it that I might have to apparently "deviate" from the "traditional music arrangement route" in order to address this case (that's right, you all; I still haven't forgotten about this! In fact, this was even addressed in our recent formal "9th Anniversary statement" document.). I'll get into more detail on that when I see about clearing those targets from my music arrangement planbook's backlog in a few months from now.
Until then, everyone; as always, if you have any problems with access to the new music arrangement files in question that have been added, please don't hesitate to send me an email about the situation. Thanks in advance, all, and take care for now.

SoundCloud Account Maintenance Progress/New Music Arrangements Incoming Tomorrow!
Posted by Merit Celaire on Saturday, March 9, 2019 - 12:27 PM
Hey there, friends; happy Saturday to you all! Although I'm techincally in the "weekend mode" as I write this, there are two things that I need to relay your direction at this time.
(1) SoundCloud Account Maintenance Progress First, I have spent the course of yesterday and a few hours this morning to sadly take down many files from our music operation's SoundCloud account to free up timespace for new "personal favorites" content to be added when the time comes after I post new "general music arrangement file updates" for this place overall as a whole. Because of this action, it has now resulted in my having 41 minutes of timespace remaining to carefully use for the account (unless I see about giving the account the "upgrade" it needs, which is still on the "to do list" when the time comes). And it looks like it's slowly becoming clear that the SoundCloud Portal that we have is where we're apparently finding those that are interested in these music operations that I hold dear; we just have to bring them to our community itself overall here. But more on that come another time.
(2) New Music Arrangements Incoming During The Course Of Tomorrow! Nope, you're not reading that wrong. If you folks can recall from two years ago (March 10, 2017 to be exact, which Nintendo calls "Mar10 Day"), I posted a Super Nintendo music style arrangement targeting a song from Mario Kart 8 (specifically, this one right here). Here's the thing, this time around, although I can't disclose the full details on this, I will state this clue: two songs from that same game have been targeted, and I'll see about getting them posted during the course of tomorrow after I return home from church. What songs could have been targeted, you ask? You'll just have to wait and see on that front! As always, I'll make sure to give you all the "heads-up" on all channels when the two newest files do get posted, so you folks won't want to miss this, that's for sure!
Until then, stay positive and I'll see you folks again during the course of tomorrow when the newest Super Nintendo music style arrangements get added. Later, all!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Account Maintenance Incoming On Our "SoundCloud Portal"
Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 - 04:30 PM
Okay, friends; this posting targets our SoundCloud Portal of these music operations because I need to give you all a heads-up on what's about to come within the next few days.
Although I'm still working on the backend to see about hopefully "upgrading" the said account in due time to have more timespace added, I will be checking through the account itself to carefully choose which certain songs to pull down in order to increase the timespace that's alloted to us under the "free account" status there. Please be assured that I'll consider all factors before making those final decisions regarding file takedowns there because folks are still posting "likes" and occasionally reposting my music operation's stuff over there.
Second, as you already know, regarding file descriptions on our SoundCloud account there, previous links to our "home base website" here still exist and I still intend to fix that to make sure that all links point to the current domain that we're using. Once again, in the meantime, for those of you who also visit SoundCloud, the only URL that you should worry about clicking to access this "home base website" of our operations is the URL link on our SoundCloud profile page.
Thanks in advance for your understanding on this matter; will keep you posted on any new developments regarding said case as it occurs within the next few days. I'm out for now.

Getting Concensus on Featured Super Nintendo Music Instrument Sets
Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, March 1, 2019 - 12:42 PM
I posted this on our music operation's Twitter account a few hours ago before leaving my house to attend a job interview appointment, but this still needs to be announced and shared here.
As you know, in regards to my Super Nintendo music style arrangements of "modern" Super Mario (and branched) videogame scores done for the Wii/Wii U/Nintendo 3DS/Switch and other noteworthy installments (like Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, for example), I have been carefully selecting from these music instrument sets listed here to do "the process" in trying to stay close to the original tunes themselves (while keeping within "channel limitations" of the Super Nintendo sound system itself).
Although I intend to continue doing this route (which would be my "traditional route" for these music operations), I'm posting this concensus because I need to know what Super Nintendo games themselves that you've heard of and/or played based on the music instrument sets featured on this list.
You can send me your replies to this question via email form, the original posting that I put up on Twitter, the IRC channel (when I'm online there, of course) or in our respective music operations' channel at our Discord server. Please send me your responses as soon as possible because this is also to help me plan and prepare for the months ahead due to some possible "recent situations" which look like it will impact my planbook on the backend as a whole regarding this music operations itself entirely.
Thanks in advance for your help on this, everyone; I'm out.
